FIC: Driving With Buffy (Part 1/?)

Hey. This is fic written in Willow's POV. It's short. So far.

DRIVING WITH BUFFY

Buffy and I have been, well, I guess you could call it "dating", for about two months now. And it's weird, because not much has changed. The switch from friends to -the next level? Girlfriends? (They don't seem to fit) - was like flipping on some kind of. switch like object.

The only real difference is that every look; every simple touch.means more. Well, that and the kissing. But that's just more of an added bonus. You know what I mean? No, you probably don't. Okay, forget I said that. Get back on track, Willow.

I could go on for hours talking about Buffy, but I won't, because then you'll get bored, maybe even annoyed, because she and I seem to be in this permanent, "nothing's wrong, and we love each other so much it's sickening" stage. You know the stage most couples usually leave after two weeks? Couple.I like that. Buffy.me.couple.I'm doing it again, aren't I? Sorry.

Now look at what I've done. My mind's gone blank. Total blankness.

Did I leave you hanging? I'm a bad person. Bad. Buffy. Is here. In the dorm room. She just came in. Got distracted. My fault.

"Whatcha doing?" She asked me.

"Thinking about you."

There goes her face. She's just got the same look I have. That content glow. Buffy's face is like a book. So easy to read. You just have to want to. And how could you not? It's beautiful. Gagging yet?

"You were?"

"Uh huh."

"Good thoughts?"

"Completely."

I flash her my best, inviting smile, and she takes me up on it. As she walks over to me, and we kiss, all I can think is how much I love her. I can't help it. So sue me. Well, not if you have really good lawyers. We must've stopped, cause now she's sitting beside me on my bed.

"I have good news. No.great news. No.universally wonderful."

"You gonna tell me?" I ask impatiently.

"Guess."

"You've just received your retirement plan, and we're going to Disney World for two weeks?" I can hope, can't I?

"Retirement.no. And I don't know about Disney World, but Disneyland seems like a good possibility. For at least a day."

"Tell me!"

"I got my license!" She squealed happily.

Give me a second to process this, please. Let's see.Buffy and a car.Buffy and a car.okay, now remembering Buffy crashing her mom's jeep. This is not good.

"How?"

"I went after classes were over. I've been studying for it for the past week."

"Really? Oh." I think I knew that. I was just hoping my eyes had been playing tricks on me.

"Will."

"Buffy.I love you and all."

"I sense a 'but'..."

"But your driving skills.in the past."

"Haven't been great, I know. I'm still paying for mom's car. But I took the test, and passed."

"By passed do you mean barely or."

She slapped me playfully. "Above average. Let's go for a drive."

"We'd need a car for that."

"True. Which is why, when I stopped some vamps from getting the blood shipment for the hospital last night, I dusted 'em before they could drive off, and took the keys."

"I don't know."

She pouted. I can't resist that pout. "If you really loved me."

"You think that's gonna work on me?"

"Yes."

She knows me too well. "Where's the car?"

Jumping up and down giddily, she pulled me by the hand out the door. I don't suppose that if I gave you my medical records, you could give them to the nearest hospital, do you? Just in case.
