Who (What) is Tara (was 'Tonight's Buffy')

Well... maybe. More likely in my opinion is:

Yep.
Tara is that goddess. She flubbed the spell because she didn't want a spell to be cast invoking her. Not when she was right there. That would have been... interesting. Assuming its possible to cast a spell that invokes yourself. Could lead to headaches or destruction of all reality. Or worse.
She can't be a demon, cause we've already seen that. Twice. First Anya, then... blah. Whatshername, Buffy's roommate.
Cathy, that's it.
So I doubt Tara is secretly another demon, but she could well be something else of a supernatural bent, and I think a minor goddess walking around Sunnydale and looking for friendship (or whatever :-) would be neat.
I'd like to see more neutral and good 'Powers' in Sunnydale. The preponderance of evil entities makes me feel depressed.
