Hey,
First of all i just wanted to remind people of one
little thing that can be found on the Welcome message:
Now, a few things i have to get out of theway
before i make a list FAQ: i'll adopt a no flamming policy.People have different
opinion,
but we don't have to be rude in order to express them. So, what i'm trying to say is that we're trying to
keep the lists and the authors flame free...If you don't like the way one fic is
going or the pairing, or anything like that, just press the delete buttom, i
know i do (well, i do to the spam mail_how they get my e-mail is beyond me_, but
still...).Just try to remember that the author that is writing a B/F or W/Tor
S/W or B/T (i can dream...) today may write/have written a W/B
tomorrow/yesterday ....well, they will if i have any saying in this, i (andmy
personal selection of leather acessories ; ) can be very convincing
...
Now, let's get a little serious.I know that there
are some people (very few, i believe) that aren't happy about the fact that
there are non-W/B fics being posted on the lists, and i'm sorry you feel that
way, but they will keep on coming(if the authors still think
we're worth reading them).I know that some of you may be thinking something
along the lines of "Hey, I didn't subscribe to a B/F or T/W list and i sureas
hell don't wanna see it in the Buffyloveswillow/Buffywantswillow list", andi
respect your opinion, you have the right to be upset, after all it is a B/W
centered list, but what you have to keep in mind is that even though some
non-W/B fics are posted, in the end of the day this is still all about Buffy and
Willow...They're still the main thing in these lists.
More than a year ago
there were very few(i can count them on my
fingers kind of few) fics centered around this couple.I used to spend hoursin
front of the computer typing all kinds of word combination in various search
engines hoping to find B/W fics, and needless to say, i didn't have much
luck...I could mark the days there were new stories on Pink Rabbit as the
highlight of my year, and for a long time that's the way things went...Thencame
the middle/end of the third season and things started changing, the yet to be
assembled fans , gained two new author(besides or to most respected and loved
ones, Janine and Pink) , we got Badbarb(we left us in search of rl) and Pat, who
is still going strong and that has become one of the most passionate writers the
W/B fandon has ever had.
Now, some of you may be wondering why i'm saying
all of this, but it's just that it'll help me illustrate my point, and
i'll use Pat as an exemple.Okay, so for a long time Pat was the W/B ship
main writer, almost every day we had a new Pat fic in our mail boxes, be ita
part of The Becoming one series or one of his terrific one-pieces.This wenton
for quite some time, during which he was able to make us fall in love with his
writing.Then, time came and things changed, he felt the need to break away from
the couple, at least for awhile, and started the B/F and W/T fics...Now, i won't
say i was happy about it, i'm one of the people that want him back in the W/B
side and i tell him that every time, but just because he is no longer writing
about the pair i support i won't simply stop reading his fics...In the end it's
still Pat writing, and no matter which pair he's writing about , i will still
admire it and i think that others will too, even the die-hard B/W fans like
myself...The guy got talent, and that's something worth sharing...
The truth is that we have many talented writers on
these lists, writers that take their time to write great stories.Stories that
can make us laugh, cry, get excited, stories that make us feel...Unlike Joss or
Jane or anyone else these people aren't getting paid to do that, they're doing
it because they like it and because they think others may like it too.Now
do you really think that these people , people that always manage to cheer
us up with their stories, deserve to be flamed because they sometimes like to
write about different
couples?
Gosh, i was channeling a school teacher...
In the end what i'm trying to say is , before you
go around complaining or sending flames try reading the fic first, try to pay
attention to the plot instead of the ship, keep an open mind, and if in theend
you still don't like what you read, just press the Del buttom and everyone will
live happily ever after.And if you want the writer to center on your fav ship,
try begging instead of flaming...it usually works a lot better...
Well, i hope that we can get past the flame
discussion and go back to our friendly envirement(?)

I'm off to do some Kim begging, now that she said
that there would be a W/B end she can't just say that she's pulling the plug on
that part...I'm kidnapping her till she changes her mind(well, we'll be doing
other things to, but that's personal...well, not really...)
