Hmm, forgot that Spike used metric in "Real Me". He must have spent
most of his time in Europe since killing that slayer in NY in '77, not
just his and Dru's run-in with an angry mob in Prague just before season
2.

That would explain why, unlike Angel, he hasn't lost his accent. Well,
aside from the fact that Angel's accent was the most god-awful thing
ever heard and we're well rid of it.
