I do not recall any such rule on any of the 40+ lists I am on. The closest
to it was a rule requesting that large multiple part stories be limited to 5
parts PER DAY. But that wasn't this list. 

As for your belief that an author should only post one story at a
time, I am sorry but I must loudly disagree. As much as I enjoy seeing the
next chapter to a continuing saga, if someone is inspired to start a new
story line and they can handle writing both story lines, then I encourage
them to do so. I no how frustrating it can be to be working on one story
while scenes and plotlines for another are demanding to be written down.
