The "clothes fluke" happen season 3 episode 3ABB05 "Homecoming". Xander kissed 
Willow in his room when they were trying different outfits for Homecoming. Buffy had 
already sent Angel to Hell and He came back & Buffy found out the episode before "Beauty 
& the Beasts". the gang doesn't know Angel is back until 2 more episodes. hope that helps.
