They are trying to get same sex marriages recognized by saying it's
gender discrimination, hey it worked in Hawaii.
I think your right I would think a handfasting would mean more to a
Wyccan than the civil ceremony would, then again that's just my opinion.
There are also many ordained ministers (me for one) that will perform a
commitment ceremony that is basically a wedding without the state's
piece of paper.
