B/W Awards (a rant)

Pardon me please right off the bat but. . .I'm annoyed. These awards 
weren't even close and there wasn't much of a participation from both 
groups. Good word has it that only 50 or so people voted out of 
almost 700 combined on BLW and BWW. That's a rip. All of the
authors 
deserved a better chance than that. I'm sorely disappointed in 
everyone and I know I'm a nobody...just a lil ol lurker...but perhaps 
I speak for a lot of the lurkers out there when I say that these 
awards have left me feeling a bit empty and unfulfilled.

Good word also has it that the virtual ballot box was stuffed by 
friends of authors and authors themselves. I'm disenchanted by the 
whole thing really....there have been so many wonderful stories
posted 
by SO MANY authors....and people have to go around stuffing the
ballot 
box with votes for themselves just to be greedy.

grrrr. Anyone else agree? am I the only lonely lil lurker voice in 
the crowd? if I am I'll go away...but if I'm not, then I think a 
recount is in need..and a way to insure that only ONE vote comes from 
ONE person. Gary Thompson did a splenderific job with the 
WillTara awards to insure fairness....may wanna ask him how he 
tracked the email addys and ISP numbers. Authors work hard on their 
fics and should reap what they sew, not have awards handed to them 
because they voted for themselves six or seven times.
