Powerful, between-the-eyes stuff here! Especially liked the little touches. Two questions, mi compadre;

1) If Cordy had gone through this Goth period before High School, would Willow and Xander have known much about her? Admittedly, they didn't run in the same circles, but it might be an interesting comment. Also, while I already did the Spike-was-Jack-the-Ripper bit, I liked the inclusion here.

2) You ever read a dynamite book by Fred Saberhagen called "The Dracula Tapes"? That's what Giles' recounting of the struggle between Dracula and Mina Murray reminded me of. In the book, Dracula in the 20th century carjacks the descendant of Mina and his wife, and tells them, with a tape recorder running, his side of the story. I especially liked how Dracula had trashed the rep of Van Helsing, calling him a quack who bled his patients to death and blamed their deaths on vampire attacks. Also, I assume that this doesn't jibe with the Dracula who showed up in the season premiere.
