And your fic is continuity-light, but that's fine since, as I understand
it, you haven't seen that much of Season 4. Actually, you're in a
pretty narrow window, between "Hush" (ep 4.10) where Buffy and Riley get
romantic and the "Who Are You" (4.16) body-switch, which you've already
said hasn't happened yet. So there's a sense of time and place, and the
characterizations are just fine. So no problems.

Besides, I once wrote a fic about Buffy having taken Spanish, and then I
saw Season 2 again and it's French, French, French, all year long. "Je
stink", indeed. It happens to us all.
