Buffy smiled and took Willow?s hands in hers:

?Good? and they meditated together for a long time.

Later that evening, the girls had just all gone to bed. After about 20 minutes a knock resounded at Buffy?s door, she sat up on her bed and lit her bedside table?s light:

?Yes??

Willow shyly opened the door and just showed her head. Buffy frowned smiling:

?Come in, what?s wrong??

Willow looked annoyed:

?Err, I-I can?t sleep, I mean?

She stopped and Buffy looked at her supportively and Willow went on:

?In that room, in that bed, I mean?

She didn?t look good, Buffy gestured her to come closer and sit at the edge of the bed:

?It?s ok Willow?

?I?m sorry, I shouldn?t react like that?

?No, no Will it?s totally natural?

?I just, I can?t sleep there, be there? without her, it just?

Buffy held her hands tightly:

?It?s ok Willow, it?s still early, what you feel is totally understandable, I totally do understand and I?m glad you came to me?

She slightly caressed her cheek:

?You?re gonna stay here ok? I?ll sleep there if you want?

?No, no, I don?t want to create all that mess, I?m stupid?

?What mess? Changing room for a few nights isn?t a mess Will, I can also stay here with you if you prefer?

Willow looked at her and shyly replied:

?I?d prefer that yes?

Buffy smiled at her, spreading the sheets:

?Come here?

Willow gently crept under the covers, they both settled on their back then Willow turned to look at her best friend:

?You?re sure I don?t bother you, you can tell me if-?

?Come on Willow, you?re my best friend and I- I don?t like to see you bad like that, you?ve already been through too much, if I had?

Buffy trailed off, Willow frowned at Buffy?s tone:

?Hey, it?s not your fault Buffy, not at all?

Buffy turned to look at her and took the witch?s hands in hers looking at her very seriously:

?I haven?t been there for you Willow?

Willow was about to say something but Buffy went on:

?I haven?t been there for no one last year, Dawn, Xander, you, not even me and things have fallen apart so hard and you?ll never know how sorry I am for all that but? it?s how it went and I can?t change it but I intend on making up the best I can, at least I?ll be there, for you Willow always. And don?t even try to shut me out or say it?s not necessary or anything because I?ll just break opened all these barriers we?ve put in between each other for quite a few years now. Don?t think I haven?t realized it, you know it, we grew apart somehow, but we?re still here together, you?re my best friend and I intend on proving it to you. You mean so much Willow, you, Xander and Dawn, you?re my family and I won?t let anyone or anything pull that apart like last year?

Tears were falling down Willow?s cheeks and Buffy hadn?t realized she was also crying herself. Willow remained silent and Buffy ended:

?I?m here for you, I?m gonna be here, always?

Willow moved closer and Buffy held her tight. They didn?t say anymore words.

The next day went by and after dinner Buffy asked Willow if she wanted to swap rooms and Willow said no, telling she had to be able to do it, adding shyly that she?d prefer to do it? a bit later, which made them both smile and so they slept together in Buffy?s room again talking some more about England and what Willow did there and also what seeing Spike again was doing to Buffy. Willow felt comforted by her best friend?s new found strength and self confidence again. A few days went by that way, both girls not really eager to change as they were finding their friendship and closeness again. They were talking a lot.

It was the middle of the night, Buffy was woken up by Willow; the witch was slightly restless and mumbling, Buffy looked at her giving her a compassionate gaze when she understood it wasn?t a good dream. She leaned in closer while caressing Willow?s face and whispered softly:

?Willow, it?s ok Willow, ssh, everything?s fine?

The red head was still asleep but she moved closer and snuggled up into the arms of the slayer who held her back, letting her arm on the witch?s shoulder, stroking it gently, Willow?s head was on her chest and Buffy was caressing her head gently with her other hand. Willow wasn?t moving or mumbling anymore but rather sleeping peacefully now. Buffy couldn?t help but have a huge smile spreading across her face and she suddenly felt unable to look elsewhere than at the sleeping redhead in her arms. She found this sight so appeasing to her, so restful that for an instant she wished time would stop on that peaceful moment. But it couldn?t, didn?t stop Buffy to look at her for the rest of the night though. She just slowly fell asleep in the early morning. When she opened her eyes again it was Willow who was looking at her, a huge smile on both girls? face at first then a slightly embarrassed one. Willow pulled away from her as she had not yet; even when she awoke she?d stayed in Buffy?s arms because she was feeling safe and sane in it. None of them was talking. As she moved away Willow put her hand slightly on Buffy?s stomach and the blonde girl let a slight gasp and Willow looked at her, her hand still on her belly and they were staring at each other. Willow began to move her face closer still under Buffy?s attentive eyes, their lips slightly brushed against each other and Buffy raised her head to fill the gap for their lips to really meet, their mouths immediately parted, gently opening and closing on each other?s. Buffy?s hand moved to Willow?s waist while Willow?s hand was moving up to Buffy?s breast when suddenly they both pulled apart and got out of the bed on each side of it, looking at each other in shock.

?What was that??

Willow replied as unbelieving:

?I don?t know?

Buffy told her nicely:

?I?m sorry Willow, I didn?t mean to- I don?t know what-?

?No I?m sorry it?s my fault, I mean- it was just- I don?t know?

They both looked at each other, none of them really knowing what happened and what to say, then Buffy slightly smiled and they ended up laughing together before Buffy told her:

?I don?t think it is a big deal, it was probably? you know, just? something, sometimes you know?

And Willow added:

?Yes cause it?s you and it?s me so we both know it was nothing, just something but nothing, I mean-, you know what I mean?

?Yes, so we?re cool, that?s great?

?Yeah great?

Silence ensued and Buffy finally said:

?Anyway I gotta get ready, I intend on having a serious discussion with this RJ guy?

?Oh yes, you should, and talk to Dawn also?

?You?ve seen her lately? This guy has got her acting totally crazy, I?m gonna put a brake on that?

?Definitely?

They both got out of the room talking light stuff and acting like nothing happened.
