OT Seriously, what is up with the world?

I apologise for the severe OTness of this post, but i need to vent somewhere

I just learned that the former Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrel was shot dead on stage on Wednesday night, along with two fans, while a humber of others were wounded. I mean, come on! What is up with that?

Did someone turn around and say 'OK, we need another Mark David Chapman, i'll go and get my gun!'?

I understand it wasn't just a 'Bang, you're dead' kinda thing. Apparently he was '...shot several times at point-blank range...'

...WTF!?

it's times like these i dispair at humanity

once again i apologise for this, but, as i'm sure you gathered, it ticked me off ever sos slightly
