I agree with you totally there, all that emotional turmoil makes for great material...i love reading (and occasionally writing) fics like that.

 When i write (I'm not very good...bad in fact..bad, bad) i always either pair Buffy up with Willow or when i want Tara in the story i pair Buffy up with my own character. Though B/W is definatly my fave pairing i do have an affection for Tara and can't seem to write her if she's not with Willow!!!
