OT: Sad Announcement....The passing of Alex P.

Hi.

With a sad heart I am writing this email to the lists to let you know that Alex P. had passed away on Feb 2, 2005 from health complications.

For those of you who are not familiar with our beloved little Scooter Tramp, Alex was here writing stories about our 2 girls, Buffy & Willow since 1999, and he had written a long running and well-loved series that started with "A Higher Power" and seven stories later "Return of Legends, Interlude: Bittersweet Memories", and an uber-Xena fic, "Justice Deferred".

Most importantly though, Alex was my friend and he helped me through one of the darkest times of my life. For that I can never say to him thank you enough.

As both a challenge and rememberence of Alex's work (thank you Kirayoshi for the idea <g>); Alex's last story "Return of Legends: Revelations and Realizations, Bk2" was left unfinished, so i put this challenge out there to all the fic writers out there and that is to either finish Alex's story - wrap everything up and tie a bow on it as a completed work or to finish R&R, Bk2 and then continue the story of Buffy & Willow. There is only 1 thing that can't be changed; Buffy and Willow *have* to stay together, no breaking them up and pairing them with anyone else!

So, instead of the unfinished and unrealized story as it is now we have a completed work. That I think would be a good marker for Alex and bring a smile to his face to know his work wasn't left to whither and die on the vine and that another author or authors had picked up the B/W torch he had started.
