THE SLAYER HANDBOOK

"Now what's this?" Willow muttered to herself, pulling out a large book from under the drawer in her and Buffy's dorm room. She had been searching for the eraser she'd accidentally dropped a moment ago. What she'd found next to it underneath was a book, about an inch thick and covered with dust, preventing her from reading the title.
'How on earth did that get there?' she wondered. 'Left behind by the previous occupants, maybe?'
She rose from the floor and carried the mysterious book over to the desk she'd been sitting at before, took a tissue out of the box on the shelf above the desk, and carefully wiped the dust off the cover. Her eyes opened wide when she read the title.
'The Slayer Handbook' was printed in large letters across the cover. Below that, and in smaller script, she read: 'Buffy Anne Summers.'
'Huh?' Willow thought as she threw away the tissue. Then, with sweaty palms, Willow opened the book at random.
The headline of the double page she'd opened read: 'Close combat with staffs.' There were drawings of all different kinds of staffs on the pages, each neatly labled with a funny name like 'Quarterstaff,' 'Warstaff,' and so on. Willow turned over the page and gasped in surprise. There were many black-and-white photos on this page, showing how to use a staff in combat. But the blonde woman depicted wasn't anyone. It was Buffy herself, a bit younger maybe, but...unmistakably Buffy.
"How the hell did they do that?" Willow muttered. 'Magic,' she mentally answered her own question. It was the only possibility. The book had been enchanted, probably using something of the designated owner, a hair maybe, customizing it to the respective Slayer.
Willow skimmed through the book, blushing at the section about "Care of the body" and its photos of Buffy rinsing her hair, Buffy soaping her body, Buffy...
'This is so silly,' she thought, 'how can they assume she doesn't know all that?'
The next chapter--'First Aid'--was rather interesting, explaining how to stitch up and bandage stab wounds, among other things. 'Been there, done that,' Willow thought, remembering the countless times she'd taken care of the wounded Slayer after yet another rough patrol.
Lost in thought, she skipped over the rest of the chapter to the next.
Willow almost dropped the book when she read the title of the chapter she'd reached now. "Introduction to Slayer Sexuality," it said. 'Now it's getting really interesting.'
Captivated, she read a paragraph here and there. A Q&A section finally caught her eye.
'Buffy: Is it normal to fantasize about...well, kissing and making love to my best friend?' she read.
"WHAT??" Willow nearly fell from her chair.
'Answer: Absolutely, Buffy. You see, Slayers are known to have a very strong sex drive, and most so far have exhibited some kind of desire towards those they're amicably connected to, so... there's nothing wrong about that.
Buffy: Even if she's a girl?
Answer: Sure.'
Embarrassed, Willow turned over some pages.
'Oh my god!' the redhead thought, feeling as if she'd jumped out of the frying-pan into the fire, as she now had reached the "Female/female sexuality" section.
With flushed cheeks, she looked at the large-size pictures of two women pleasuring each other in ways she'd never considered possible. Whoever had done these photographs knew his business. They weren't pornish or humiliating, but tender and highly erotic. 'And very arousing,' Willow had to admit to herself, sensing her body's reaction to the pictures.
'Who would've thought that the Watcher's Council would be that open-minded...' the witch thought and took a closer look.
"Now, now, what do we have here?" a familiar voice behind her suddenly startled her.
Willow quickly closed the book, bookmarking the page she'd been reading with her thumb. She then pressed the book to her chest, attempting to hide its cover from the Slayer who had entered unnoticed.
"B-Buffy!" she stammered, looking at the blonde standing in the middle of the room like a deer caught in headlights.
"The one and only..."
Buffy had sneaked into their dorm room inaudibly, wanting to surprise her roommate. Instead of her reading a novel or something related to a class, she found her reading in her almost forgotten 'Slayer Handbook.' Actually she *had* forgotten about it. It fell into her hands by chance again while she'd been packing her stuff to move from her home to the dorm, and she decided to take it with her for sentimental reasons. When she had begun unpacking her things in the dorm, though, she'd gotten cold feet, and decided that it was better to hide it under the drawer. And now Willow had found it!
"Found the Handbook, I see," Buffy continued, and slowly walked towards where her friend was sitting.
Willow just nodded.
"Well, if you needed further proof that the Council is completely nuts, this is it."
Willow knew for certain that her cheeks were even more glowing than before by now, and didn't answer.
'Judging from the color of her cheeks, she already found the interesting chapters,' Buffy concluded. 'Guess it's now or never, then.'
"Like I'd need such a silly book to know what to do..." she said.
"W...what?"
Buffy took the book out the witch's shaking hands and opened it again.
"This!" she replied, pointing to the picture of two women 69-ing that Willow had been so thoroughly studying when the blonde had entered the room.
"Look, um, I can explain...actually...it's not what it seems to be...I hope you're not thinking what I think that you're thinking that I'm thinking..." Willow babbled.
Buffy closed the remaining distance between them, put the book down on Willow's desk, and took a deep breath.
"Your mouth..." she then said, her voice hoarse with desire.
"What's wrong with it?" Willow asked nervously. 'Cute, cuter, Willow,' Buffy thought and grinned. "I always wanted to know what it's like to... kiss it," she said instead.
Willow didn't know what to reply to the Slayer's revelation. A part of her wanted to feel the Slayer's lips on hers just as much. She'd been thinking a lot about kissing the blonde recently, since they were living together in the dorm, to be precise. The other part of her mind kept reminding her that when she did that, when they did that, there was no turning back. The way their friendship had been would be gone forever, replaced by something else...
"May I kiss you, Willow?" Buffy asked.
'By something better,' Willow thought, having come to a decision.
"Please do," she whispered and smiled at her best friend encouragingly. Expectantly, she closed her eyes.
Buffy did as she was told. She leaned in, and lightly brushed Willow's lips with hers.
"Wow!" Willow said when Buffy finally broke their first kiss. Her eyes were still closed. Obviously the witch was reliving every detail of what she'd just experienced in her mind's eye.
'God, you're so adorable,' Buffy thought, seeing that. "That sums it up perfectly," she said aloud. "More?"
"Mmmmh," Willow answered.
Buffy supported Willow's neck with her hand, and their lips met again. Pressing her body against the witch's, Buffy then kissed her like there was no tomorrow. And Willow kissed her back with equal passion, 'cause on the Hellmouth, well, you never knew.
With a final dance of their tongues, they parted.
'Definitely...absolutely...much better!' Willow thought.
"Your lips...they're so soft..." she said. "And your tongue... That was incredible," she continued and smiled at the blonde.
"Yeah!" Buffy replied. "Wait until I show you what else I can do with those lips and tongue..." she added, and blushed at what she'd just said.
"Show me!" Willow said eagerly.
Buffy took Willow's hand in hers and led her over to her bed.
And Buffy showed her. She showed her what 'the moment of the Clouds and the Rain' that Willow had read about really was all about. Multiple times, in fact.
The redhead snuggled up to Buffy after a long session of love-making. As they came down from their post-orgasmic high, she softly caressed the Slayer's skin, then said, "You were right. You don't need a manual for that."
Buffy grinned and hugged her lover.
"And if we don't know what to do with each other some day, we now know where to find...suggestions."
Exhausted, they fell asleep in each other's arms, the opened 'Slayer Handbook' still lying on Willow's desk.
