"Wait wait wait, the evil Slayer chick is on who's side?" Xander said coming in from the kitchen.
"She's not evil" Dawn argued.
"She's on our side" Buffy said ignoring Dawn's comment. "I just hope she isn't the death of us"
"Hey I'll watch your back you watch mine" Faith joked trying to bring the anxious air down a notch. It didn't work.
"How do I know you won't stab me in mine" Buffy said meeting the other Slayer's eyes.
"Because I'm reformed?" Faith tried smiling wanly.
"I gotta talk to Dario about this" Buffy said shaking her head.
"Is Dario the one that Anya keeps belly-achin' about?" Xander asked scratching his head.
"Yeah" Willow mumbled "And if you tell Anya her name I'll turn all your underwear into spiders"
"Right. Anya doesn't know anyone's name" Xander nodded quickly "I'll go get her. The one who's name Anya doesn't know"
"That would be a good idea" Willow agreed glaring at him.
Xander quickly found an elsewhere to be.
"Would you really turn his underwear into spiders?" Faith asked raising a brow at the new Willow. New to her anyway.
"I could demonstrate on you if need be" Willow said politely.
"No need" Faith backed away slowly, she could sense power in Willow.
"Will!" Dawn huffed crossing her arms.
"Sorry Dawnie, you might trust her but I don't. We don't exactly have the greatest history together" Willow said giving Faith a look
the showed there was no love lost there.
"Geez doesn't anyone believe that people can change" Dawn squealed before storming out.
"Well that was.....interesting" Buffy muttered as she watched her little sister storm upstairs and out of her sight.

Dario rushed down the stairs after Xander explained the situation.
"What's going on Buffy?" Dario barely righted herself after nearly tripping off the last step.
"Faith here claims to be a changed woman. I was wondering if you could do some strange mystic 'tell me if she's evil or not' thing"
Buffy asked with hope filling her voice.
"Oh. A soul decerning" Dario frowned "Not my forte. Kida probably could, but isn't a good time for her to do it"
"What? Why isn't this a good time?" Buffy crossed her arms firmly and frowned at Dario.
"I know someone who can" Dario said wanting to keep the slayer calm "You can trust her. I know I do."
"Who is she?" Faith asked finally speaking after watching the conversation.
"Shut up Faith" Buffy snapped "Yeah who is she"
"Her name is Spiri, she's another Mystic. The Goddess told me to use any methods neccessary to keep the Oracle-Rowen- safe" Dario explained "And 'safe' is with you and Willow. That means-"
"Protecting us" Buffy cut in "That's good to know. So let's get this girl. I wanna know exactly what Faith intends with us this time around"
"She can't come until after dark" Dario screwed up her face "She's doing a ritual that doesn't end until sunset"
"Oh great, waiting" Buffy sat heavily on the couch and crossed her legs agitatedly "And why can't Kida do this again?"
"This isn't a good time" Dario huffed "Can't you just take it as that?"
"Only because it's you" Buffy muttered "But you owe me big time for keeping me in the dark AND making me wait" Buffy did her best hurt pout.
"Ok I'll take you out for ice cream" Dario offered.
Buffy pouted harder.
"Ice cream and a Spiritual Spa?" Dario smiled at the pouting slayer.
"Define Spiritual Spa" Buffy eyed Dario speculatively.
"Mud bath, Massage, steam room, manicure and pedicure, hot tubs-" She layed out precisely as she could remember.
"I'll take it" Buffy interrupted.
"Good. Keep and eye on tall, dark and sexy in the mean time" Dario nodded to Faith "I'll leave a summons for Spiri" she quickly turned and vanished back up the stairs.
"Tall, dark and sexy?" Faith questioned the room at large.
"Do you own anything with actual colors in it?" Buffy said snidely sounding alot like Cordelia.
Faith shrugged.

Willow had retired in the kitchen after Buffy had shot her a look about the spider threat. She poured herelf a glass of orange juice and fretted over the unusual treatment. Willow knew she had a temper, and she knew Xander had a way of quirking it lately. She just couldn't seem to control herself sometimes. Especially lately. Maybe it was because her protective instincts had gone into overdrive.
First with Kida's reappearance and then Rowen's debut. She sighed slouched over the middle island.
"Smile, my goddess you look like you just lost your best friend"
Willow did smile when she felt the warmth of another body against her back. "Kida I didn't hear you come in here" Willow turned to hug her friend and realized her back was to the wall. She looked around the kitchen and realized that both entrances were in her line of vision "How did you get in here?"
"I walked through the wall" Kida wiggled her brows and took a sip of Willow's juice "Oh no pulp" she chuckled.
"Pulp is for the birds." Willow nodded "Hungry?"
"Yeah" Kida took a seat at the island. Willow moved around the kitchen and Kida spun the stool ane whichever direction she moved.
"So have you seen her?" Willow asked as she dug through the refrigerator.
"Seen who?" Kida asked finishing off Willow's juice.
"Faith" Willow pointing towards the living room.
"No. Should I?" Kida frowned.
"Well it would be the polite thing to do" Willow sat down a tray a fruits on the island and began to cut them into slices "Maybe you can tell if she's still evil or if she means well"
"I guess I can give it a try" Kida slid off the stool and slowly entered the living room.
"It's a small world after all" Faith sang low in her throat "I never thought I'd see you again"
"And the chances of this happening were what? 1 and 3 billion?" Kida crossed her arms and lifted her brow "So this is what you complained about? Buffy?"
"Shut up" Faith rose from her seat.
Buffy stunned until this point rose to.
"You, complained about Buffy?" Kida said louder trying not to laugh.
"Shut up. I told you that in confidence" Faith demanded.
"You two know each other?" Willow said coming out of the kitchen with the knife still in her hand.
"You gonna cut me Red?" Faith teased.
"Her?" Kida started laughing so hard that tears ran down from her eyes "Oh my god this is so rich"
"What the hell is so funny?" Buffy demanded getting her voice back.
"It's not funny at all" Faith fretted sounding amazingly like Buffy or Willow in one of their moments.
"Maybe you have changed " Willow said when she heard the tone Faith had used.
"Buffy stabbed you?" Kida said calming down "Because you tried to destroy her?"
"Yeah" Faith found something interesting to look at in the general vicinity of her left shoe.
"Okay. Now I know I'm going insane" Kida paused to catch her breath "I see you still have your suit of leather"
"And I see that you don't have you curtains on you" Faith taunted.
"Curtains?" Willow frowned.
"She used to wear these baggy clothes. Tuck her hair up in a cap. She looked like a gorgeous boy" Faith explained looking Kida over
"Or should I say boi?"
"I can't see anyone mistaking Kida for a boy, of any type" Buffy said also looking Kida over. She attempted to picture her as Faith had described "Your hair was braided then right?"
"Yeah" Kida sighed, she tugged on a wave that ended at the top of her breast "I had those for a long time"
"Yeah. Now you look like a girl" Faith frowned.
"I am a girl" Kida pointed out rolling her eyes.
"I know, but now you look like one" Faith expressed gazing at her.
"People thought you were a boy" Willow stated.
"I found out different" Faith smirked "I got under her clothes"
"What" Willow and Buffy reacted.
"She has this tight little body. Strong as hell" Faith continued as if neither woman had said anything.
Kida watched her blandly. She knew what was coming. But Faith didn't know that she would pay for her indiscretion.
"But she's soft in all the right places" Faith's eyes lit on Kida's breast.
"I know, and it's all mine" Dario appeared behind Faith.
Faith turned right into the left hook. She ended up sprawled at Buffy's feet. She touched her jaw and winced "Ow. Think I hit a sore spot"
"I don't like her" Dario stated.
"I used to" Buffy muttered "Then she tried to kill the people I loved"
"And you slept with her" Willow aimed this at Kida.
"There was no sleeping involved" Faith taunted from her vantage point on the floor.
"Usually people who are down shut up" Kida said with no emotion in her voice. She stared down at Faith.
"So she's your girl friend? You like 'em kinda rough huh?" Faith continued ignoring the comment.
"Maybe we should kill her-" Dario began rubbing her hands together building up power.
"You can't kill humans" Kida said without looking at her mate.
"She's a slayer" Dario argued.
"She's still human" Kida met Dario's angry eyes "And jealousy isn't a reason to kill"
"I'm not jealous" Dario countered.
"It was long before you" Kida explained.
Dario vanished.
"Wonderful" Kida sighed heavily.
"So what you hangin' with these people for?" Faith asked finally rising from the floor.
"Getting a heart back" Kida stated flatly.
"Oh the blue gemm heart thingie?" Faith asked frowning.
"Yeah-" Kida froze "You've seen it?"
"Yeah some Vamps had it. They ran when they saw me. I chased, killed some. Three got away" Faith brushed off the seat of her pants "Why?"
"Where they newbie Vamps or Older?" Kida asked.
"Old. Really old. One of them was strong enough to throw me about 60 feet" Faith massaged her shoulder at the memory "I landed in a tree"
"A master maybe" Buffy though aloud.
"I can't believe-" Willow spoke to herself wandering back into the kitchen.
"I guess this day can get worse" Buffy said with a lightness she didn't feel.
