The beginning of a day off

[reviews]

Hey! sorry about the enormous delay between these chapters. I can only ask humbly for your forgiveness!
All characters belong to Joss Whedon and the Buffy crew excpet the ones I made up myself!

"Hey," Willow said as Buffy walked through the door.
"Hey."
"Its been a long day huh?"
"Ah the usual, where's Meghan?"
"Tucked up all nice in bed."
"Good. What did you say to her about Michael?"
"I think...think I punished her well..."
"You told her I'd be up in the morning."
"Well...yes...but you're the assertive kinda person, who...well is...assertive?"
Buffy kissed her on the lips. "Is this assertive enough?"
"Oh yes, very."
"Shall I carry on being assertive in shall we say, a more comfortable environment?"
"I think so, yes."
"Ok, I'll be right back. You'll miss me?"
"You know it."
Buffy came back a few minutes later loaded with the red wine they'd managed not to drink earlier. There she found Willow sprawled out on the sofa fast asleep. With a sigh, Buffy placed down the glasses and carried Willow to their bedroom.

"Get up Meghan! NOW!!"
"But Mum!"
"Now Meghan!"
"I'm not well! I'm sick!" *cough cough*
"You get your ass down here or so help me I'll..."
*more coughing ensues*
"Right! That's it! Willow get me my stake I'm gonna teach our daughter a lesson."
"Mother that doesn't work anymore."
"My axe then!"
"Oh, please..."
Buffy then stalked up the stairs to her daughter's room and opened the door.
"Come on darling, it's time you were in school."
"I can't *cough* I'm like you know *cough cough*"
"Did I ever tell you about before your mother and I got together? Well back then I had a thing for vampire's, male vampires. Did I ever tell you about how Angel lost his soul? Well I think this is a good time well, you see I was at a mature age and I decided that it was a right time for me and Angel, shall we say...cement our relationship? Do you know what I mean by cement?"
"Jeez mum! What are you trying to do to me?"
"Well we went back to his place one night, we had just finishing fighting this demon called The Judge. It was my birthday and it was raining and well one thing led to another and..."
"Ok mum! Seriously!!! Whats your problem?! You need some serious mental tuning! Anyway, it's your fault I can't go to school today."
"Oh, has Michael come out of hospital?"
"Yes he has come out of hospital and he's gonna tell everyone about my psycho mother who went...well psycho on him and everyone'll laugh and I'll be the embarrassment of the school! You've ruined my life you know that?! Ruined! I can never go back to school, I'd rather die!"
"So there we were back at his place. Now I want to remind you that I was legally old enough for this sort of thing, much older then you are now... kinda...so there we are back at his place and I feel this injury, so there Angel was, taking a look and we were all wet from the rain and..."
"OK OK I'm going! Serious mental help mother. I'm not joking here."
"Done done and done my love!" Buffy walked through the kitchen doors wiping the imaginary dirt off her hands.
"Wow! You did it! Is there no end to your talents?"
"Nope."
"So, our day off...how can we possibly spend it?"
"I have a few ideas..." Buffy wiggled her eyebrows mischievously.
"OK good idea with the sex and all. But first I gotta go to post office and pay a few things, then I have to quickly see the gang about Meghan's birthday. Are you still sure about the bouncy castle? I still don't think she's old enough. And well...this place does need tidying up, so maybe you could do that while I'm gone? You know your faster then me at that with all your slayer powers and stuff."
"I'm glad they're put to good use."
"Your right I do need to get some stamps!"
"Huh?"
"What would I do without you?" With that Willow gave Buffy a peck on her lips and went out the front door.
"Well Buffy great day off we've planned here. Maybe we should start with the kitchen. It's pretty dirty. Or maybe the basement? Or maybe Buffy, you should stop talking to yourself. Good idea Buffy very good idea."
