Everything I Ever Wanted

[reviews]

A/N: The chapters in this story aren't going to be as long, I'm afraid, since the entire story will be focused around the honeymoon. I have basics laid out but if you want to see something particular...let me know, and I'll try to add it if it fits. Thanks!!! You're all beautiful!

---------------------------------------

Lying in bed in the early morning hours, Buffy continued to run her fingers lightly in a pattern over Willow's bared stomach, while the redhead kept sifting her fingers through blonde locks. After the reception at the Bronze died down, the two girls decided to head back to Willow's apartment for a little added privacy, since the Summers house was stocked full of guests, and neither girl had any intention of being quiet that night. After all, it was their wedding night...it was only logical to have mind-blowing sex, especially since it would be their first time since they joined hands. After saying goodbye to everybody still there, the two girls weren't even completely in the door before Buffy had Willow's zipper down on her dress. They were beautiful dresses but in the heat of the moment, neither seemed to care where they landed. The need for skin against skin was more important, as they continued to stumble through the apartment. There was barely any sleep for either of them, as they just continued grabbing for the other, never completely satisfied since there was still time before the sunrise.

Willow played with the wedding band, as she continued to play with Buffy's hair with her other hand. It still seemed surreal, and she couldn't imagine a life without her new wife. 'Wife...yeah...I like that...' When Buffy noticed her grinning lover playing with the band, she reached over, and connected their hands together, pulling the banded hand to her lips, kissing it softly. When she heard the redhead hum in approval, she had to lean up, keeping their hands clasped between their chests, and kiss Willow tenderly. It was genuinely beautiful, and the girls relished in the warmth from the sky window, allowing the sun's first rays to illuminate their disheveled bodies.

"I love you." Buffy's voice was hoarse from the hours of screaming, and lack of use for the past hour, since they had spent it snuggling in comfortable silence.

"I love you, too." Willow's voice matched hers, as the blonde's face was still lingering mere inches above her face from the previous kiss.

"I can't believe it...we're really..."

"...married. I know...it feels..."

"...good. I know." The two girls giggled, enjoying their synchronicity. "Wills...do you have any food here? I'm getting kinda hungry." Willow wrapped her free hand from Buffy's head to her neck, and pulled her into a soft kiss, letting her lips linger against the blonde's long after their mouths lightly smacked together.

"I'm hungry, too...but I don't want to move from this spot." Buffy moved her head up a little to lock eyes with the grimacing redhead, still humming from their night of passion and love.

"I know...it is kinda nice here...but we're going to have to move eventually, you know?" Buffy smiled warmly when she saw Willow's puppy dog eyes, and pout. She couldn't resist, and had to lean in to kiss the cute face away if they were going to get anywhere that day.

"Ahh...Buffy, do we have to?"

"Stop whining...or there will be no nookie tonight for you." Buffy's threat wasn't successful, though, since the warm glow that emanated from her entire body told otherwise.

"Speaking of tonight...our flight leaves for Rome at 5. We should be at the airport around 4, just to be safe." Buffy leaned down, and kissed Willow before pulling back again. Willow noticed the frown on her wife's face, and tucked stray blonde hairs behind ears, as her concern face was firmly in place. "What is it, baby?"

"Nothing."

"No, it's obviously something. You're frowning...you only do that when you're not happy about something...and this is a time to be extremely happy...so fess up! What's wrong? Did I..." Buffy stopped Willow's worries and babble by firmly pressing her lips against hers again, lingering slightly, and tasting her lips before retreating.

"Nothing is wrong. Everything is right. It's just...and please don't be mad at me..." She searched the redhead's face for something, not sure exactly what she was looking for yet. "Well...I just don't want to go to Rome."

"What?" Willow wriggled up in bed, bringing Buffy away from her body, so that she could see where this turn of events was leading. It was certainly unexpected. "I thought that's where you wanted to go. It took us five hours to decide."

"I know but it just doesn't feel right somehow...like...like we're not supposed to go to Rome. All night long, the only thing I could think about was you, and being with you, and that I don't want to share you with anybody this week...whatsoever. This week you belong to me." Buffy's eyes kept focused on the concerned, confused green eyes of her lover, and cupped Willow's cheek, as her thumb traced the worry lines formed on the redhead's brow.

"I'll always belong to you...not just this week. You know that, and I have no intention of being shared. I just don't understand...I mean...why now? There's still time to cancel everything but why now?" Willow placed her hand on the one occupying her cheek, and enjoyed the warmth of Buffy's small, yet strong hand. "What happened to throwing coins in every fountain we can, learning Italian in a small café while eating spaghetti, and acting like gladiators in the Coliseum? I thought that's what you wanted."

"No...I mean, yeah...I want to do that someday but not now. It just doesn't feel right. All I want is you, and to be with you. Is that alright?" Buffy's eyes were pleading, and Willow just couldn't be angry at the request. She would lasso the moon for her wife, if she thought it possible.

"Of course that's alright, Buffy. You don't even have to ask." Buffy smiled slightly, and leaned forward to kiss her wife in the same fashion. "I'll just call the airport, and hotel to cancel. That's not a big deal...just...well...what do you want to do then?"

"It's silly, really..." Buffy shied away from her lover but Willow lifted her gaze back lightly, as she cupped the blonde's face gently.

"Nothing's silly when it comes to you...no matter what it is, as long as you're there...it'll be perfect." Willow's sincerity, and the love that radiated all over her, almost made Buffy cry but the sheer joy of the situation was too strong for happy tears.

"Aww...now who's the sappy one?" Buffy leaned forward, and kissed Willow. Their hands fell together in the blonde's lap, and she sighed before explaining. "Okay...well...I was thinking that maybe we could spend a week at the cabin. It'd be just us, and no distractions. We can take a phone for emergencies but keep it turned off the entire time, only checking the missed calls and messages in the morning and night. That way there'll be more time together, and less chance of being pulled away. We can float in the boat in the lake, and just let the sun wash over us, or the moon to serenade us. We can make love in front of the fireplace, and cuddle up on the couch nursing hot cocoa. There would be dancing, and kisses, and candles, and soft music, and kisses, and nobody else around, and kisses, and nakedness, and..."

"Kisses?"

"Don't mind if I do..." Buffy leaned in, and kissed the giggling woman, and couldn't help the smile producing against the kisses.

"Wow..." Both girls sighed heavily, and pulled together again, as Willow grabbed the phone from her nightstand. Dialing, she cancelled everything that was preset for their honeymoon, and snuggled back into the warm body under the blankets. "Well...your wish is my command..."

"Ohh...do I get two more wishes?" Buffy acted like a child in a toy store, and it was hard for Willow to remain in mock thought upon seeing the cuteness of her blonde lover.

"Well...let's see. One wish was for a honeymoon change...and then, there was one earlier for breakfast...I recall lots and lots of wishing last night..."

"Don't you mean begging? And if I recall correctly, there was a fair amount of begging coming from your end, as well..." Buffy leaned her satisfied grin closer, until their lips locked again. "Plus, I never got my breakfast, so that one is ruled out...and I still get breakfast for free."

"Oh? A little demanding this morning, aren't we?"

"Maybe..." She leaned forward, and couldn't help but keep things heated, as she straddled Willow's lap, wrapping her arms around the redhead's neck, as their heated kisses become more and more steamy. 'Mmmm...Willow...'

"Hmmm...I guess for that, I have to grant you two more wishes...so...what will they be?" Willow wrapped her arms around Buffy's back, and didn't let the blonde move from the overheated position.

"Well...I can think of one wish I wouldn't mind having right now..." Buffy's predatory glare made Willow audibly gulp, and the blonde perked up at her successful goal of making her new wife scream, moan, and groan once again in the early morning hours.

------------

"You are just the cutest thing in the world." Willow was holding baby Jesse, and playing with her, rubbing their noses together. The little girl was smiling at the silly antics coming from her aunt Willow, and the two just laughed with each other. Anya was making sure that the redhead wasn't going to drop her baby, so she was constantly in a worry. Xander just stood there with his arms folded underneath his pits, and Buffy stood beside him, giggling at her wife, and the Harris baby.

"So...I guess I should say welcome to the proverbial family." Xander let one hand out to gesture with his hand to the entire gang present, and immediately returned it.

"Thanks, Xan. That means a lot coming from you." Buffy smiled warmly at the man, and wrapped him in a hug, which he had no problem returning.

"Well...we've not even been married for a day, and you're already hitting on people? Should I be worried?" Willow stood there with mock admonishment, handing Jesse back to Anya, whose ears perked up at the comment.

"What?! Your wife better keep her hands off Xander." Anya came over, and broke the hugging duo up, and stood between them, which caused Buffy and Willow to giggle.

"Don't worry, Anya. You can keep Xander." Buffy wrapped her arms around the redhead's waist, and muffled her giggles in the gorgeous woman's shoulder.

"It's bad enough you have Willow but you can't have Xander."

"No problem...what? Huh?" Buffy's eyebrows scrunched in confusion at the former part of the comment, something neither of the newlyweds, or a suddenly interested husband were expecting.

"Oh...you know. Look at her...with the fiery hair, and the legs...and remember the one time with the candles? It did get kinda sexy." Anya pushed it off like it was old news, and obvious, even though the other three adults were wide-eyed.

"Um...yeah...on that note, I think we'll be heading out now." Willow hugged Anya the best she could with Jesse in her hands, kissing the baby's forehead, and tickling its stomach one last time. "You know where we are, and the deal, so give us a call ONLY if it's an emergency. Okay?" She hugged Xander, and Buffy followed suit, except she just tickled the baby...all of her kisses were reserved for a certain redhead that entire week. Even though the little girl was adorable, her lips had only one person's name on them.

"Have fun, you crazy kids." Xander waved, as the two newlyweds loaded into their honeymoon wagon, otherwise known as Buffy's Jeep. The two women drove off, immediately grasping hands, and heading towards their honeymoon destination.

As they drove towards the outskirts of the Sunnydale forest, they continued idle chat, listening to the radio. They couldn't help but smile at each other when Rogue Slayer's new hit came on the station, remembering when Faith wrote the song. Her smoky voice drifted through the car's speakers, and the haunting music filled their small space. With goosebumps on their arms, the two girls just took in the band's new hit recording. Willow recalled how they had spent more hours than the usual just on this one particular song, trying to find the right blend but in the end, she didn't mind the added cost of studio time once the mixing was finished. When it hit the airwaves, the already established fan base immediately took to the new sound, and the sophomore album was actually selling more than the debut, something rarely done in the music industry, which shocked even the redhead, since it was a first for the label. Rogue Slayer's hit, "The Road to Redemption is a Rocky Path," was climbing the charts like crazy.

When they turned onto the dirt road that lead to the cabin, Buffy tried to snuggle closer to her eager wife but the stupid seats wouldn't allow for it, so she pouted, and decided to just wait the few extra minutes. It was hard but she could go without Willow kisses for another few just to ensure their safety. After all, if they didn't make it there in one piece, then what's the sense?

"Wow...did you do this? Well... I mean, obviously you didn't because you've been with me...but I mean...wow, Will..." Buffy looked out the window at the decorations that adorned the trees surrounding the cabin, and the ribbons that were on the porch banisters that lead to the front door. The handmade 'Just Married' sign that was posted to the door was the winner, though. It was tacky decorations but the meaning was what counted, and Buffy couldn't help but giggle when Willow opened the door, and attempted several times to pick her up, and carry her over the threshold. Finally, they compromised for the sake of their own tradition, and Buffy jumped on Willow's back, as the redhead carried her new wife into their home away from home. She landed Buffy on the couch, and jumped on top of her, melding their lips together immediately before answering the previous question.

"I called Xander while you were in the shower, and he had Vi and Rona come down to decorate. Hence, the tacky." Buffy pulled her gorgeous lover into another kiss, not wanting to let go but knowing that they still had groceries, and other things in the car that needed to be brought into the cabin. Once things were put in their proper places, Buffy sought out Willow's mouth again, wanting to thank her for everything, and especially for loving her.

"Mmm...I love you...this is going to be the best honeymoon ever." Arms wrapped around each other in the kitchen, with a gentle sway, Willow just arched an eyebrow in amusement.

"I hope it's the only honeymoon you've ever been on...otherwise, is there something you're not telling me?" Willow giggled at Buffy's frightened look once she realized how her comment sounded. The redhead had to kiss the expression away for reassurance that she was teasing.

"Of course...and it's the only honeymoon I ever intend to go on because you're the only person I intend to ever marry...unless James Spader comes along. He needs to call me." Buffy couldn't keep her play up for long once she saw the cute little pout from Willow, and it wasn't long before she found herself pressed against the kitchen cabinet. "Mmm...not that I'm complaining, mind you..." She let out a little squeal when she felt Willow's mouth paying particular attention to the sensitive spot behind her ear. "Mmm...Will..." Buffy wrapped her arms tighter around the redhead's shoulder, pulling her closer to that zone. "Maybe we should take this...ack!"

"Ack?" Willow stopped her kissing, and eyed her lover with an amused grin, knowing full well what she did but also intrigued about the reaction.

"Wills...next time give a girl a little warning before you bite her. I was beginning to think that you'd turned into a vampire there for a second."

"Don't worry, Buff. My vampire double would still be kinda gay."

"Wills..."

"Yes?"

"I think we better take this someplace, and now." Buffy grabbed Willow's shirt collar, and dragged her back to the bedroom, the two lovers giggling the entire way.

--------------

"Mmm...I was jonesing for a little Willow action." Buffy curled into the warmth that was now the overworked blankets. The redhead just followed suit, and the two just snuggled together in post-coital bliss.

"Don't you usually get a lot of Willow action?"

"Well...yeah, I guess you're right...but I'm always up for some Willow action. Morning, noon, and night. It's like a good addiction..."

"I don't plan on giving you an intervention anytime soon, so we're safe."

"Good."

"Great."

"Better than..."

"Yeah...perfect." They leaned in together, and stole another tender kiss. When you're addicted, you just can't get enough. "Buff..."

"Hmm?"

"I was thinking..."

"Which you always are...what's the what?" Buffy turned in the embrace, and managed to position them face to face, while keeping their arms wrapped around the other. The blonde kept drawing lazy circles up and down Willow's arm with her slender fingers, and couldn't help but graze the erogenous zone behind her lover's shoulder every once in a while.

"Dawn's old enough to live on her own, and she mentioned to me the other day about finding her own apartment." Willow had her serious face on, and was hoping that Buffy didn't get too mad that her younger sister confided in the redhead instead of her older sister.

"Oh."

"Oh? That's it? No absolutely not...she's still too young?" Will was searching her wife's expression for some sort of reaction but it the blonde sometimes remained a mystery. It was one of the things that had first attracted her attention; she lived in search of a constant mystery, and even though the two were almost completely attuned to the other, Buffy Summers sometimes remained that mysterious woman she once was when they first met over a year ago.

"No...I'm not saying no. I mean...you're right. Dawn's a big girl now. She can take care of herself...it's just that..."

"You're not ready for her to not be there."

"How do you know me so well?" Buffy kept her adoring gaze fixed on the smiling redhead, and wasn't surprised to find her favorite tooth and tongue grin placed on her lover's face.

"Lots of practice..." Willow kissed her softly, and shifted some stray blonde hairs away from her lover's face, giving her more access to the thoughtful expression. "I told her I'd talk to you about it. What I didn't tell her is that I would talk to you about having her stay at my old apartment." Buffy looked back into the sincere eyes of her wife, and smiled herself.

"You do know me too well. No wonder I love you so much." She grinned, as she leaned in to kiss the vulnerable expression from Willow's face.

"Besides...it's already paid for completely, so Dawn wouldn't need to pay rent, and she wouldn't be that far. I would explain the situation to her about the parties, and we can go from there. What do you say?"

"I say that you are the most amazing woman in the entire world, and that I am the luckiest because for some strange reason, you married me of all people. That's what I would say." Buffy couldn't help but chuckle, and smile at the blushing redhead. After all their time together, she was amazed that she could still make the woman blush, and she was grateful for that, since it made her love Willow even more.

"I love you, too...by the way. And you're wrong."

"How so?" There was a slight pause, and Willow started playing with blonde locks, while she just conveyed everything she felt for the blonde through her eyes.

"I'm the luckiest woman because you're the most amazing."

"Nuh-uh."

"Yep."

"Nope."

"It's true."

"No, you are."

"No, you are."

"No, you...okay, this is getting a little too sickeningly cute for my taste, Wills."

"Me, too." They giggled, and fell back into a comfortable silence, relishing in the warmth of their sated bodies, and spooned until their overexerted forms quietly surrendered to the land of Morpheus.
