Day at the Park

A/N: I like the monthly theme ideas over at Wiffy, and sometimes get a little too excited. LOL.

------------

It had been three weeks, and they still hadn't talked. After their somewhat emotional reunion, Buffy and Willow had gone to see Giles, informing him of the blonde's return for the summer. After that, the next two days before school started, Xander had stayed constantly in their presence, and when they could find any excuse, the two girls would sneak off to have a brief but exciting smooch session. When school started again, Willow was immediately back in nerd mode, and happy to learn again. Xander was his usual slacker self, and Buffy was her normal slayer self. Whenever the two girls seemed to have a moment to themselves where they could talk, something would come up to disrupt the conversation. Sometimes it was their kissing, sometimes it would be Xander or Giles (even Cordelia) showing up at the most inopportune time, and other times it would be Hellmouthy. Mostly, though, it was their kissing. The two girls knew they needed to talk about what was happening but both still had those fears.

The big scare was when the Anointed One attempted to resurrect the Master, and kidnapped everybody that had been in the library. Buffy went into immediate panic mode, and had the chance to release all of her anger and fear on the Master's bones, using a sledgehammer to ground his bones to dust to ensure that he would never be a threat again. After that, there was Angel. She had to deal with him, and the attraction between them. She and Willow had kept it a complete secret that they were, well, doing whatever...making out a lot. There was a lot of groping involved sometimes. Angel had picked up on it immediately, though, and went into jealous vampire mode. The blonde just did not want to deal with that, and told him to back off, or she wouldn't hesitate to dust him, soul or no soul. Nobody touched her Willow.

Too many chances to talk had been lost, and their make-out sessions were getting steamier. Willow was getting 'extremely' good at kissing, and her curious nature came into play a few times, tentatively touching Buffy's body at first but lately, she'd been a whole lot more sure in her ministrations. Three weeks...three weeks of kissing, keeping it a secret, sneaking off in the stacks to 'find a certain book,' threatening Angel, nightly patrols, and sneaking to the bathroom in the Bronze. Granted, it wasn't the most romantic of places but it was the only place they could escape Xander. All the kissing aside, though, Buffy wanted more. She wasn't sure what Willow wanted but she could tell by the way the redhead looked at her that something was there. The connection had been there between them from day one, and they had just managed to tighten the bond. Buffy wanted it tightened even more, and decided that it was absolutely time to have that long awaited talk. They had waited long enough.

------

"We need to talk." In between heated kisses, Buffy would try to say it, and finally had managed to reel her hormones in for a brief moment. Willow backed away, as though she were burnt, and looked Buffy with wide-eyes that spoke volumes. The redhead thought the blonde was rejecting her, going to tell her that it was all wrong, and they had to go back to being just friends.

"What?! Buffy, no! After all of this? I can't just be friends now!" Willow crossed her arms over her chest, and backed up towards a bookshelf. When there was no place else to go, she was trapped between Buffy and the towering shelf of dusty tomes. For her part, the blonde took deep breaths to control her hormones again, and kept her need to touch Willow again in check. The talk was more important at the moment. Apparently, the redhead had misunderstood her meaning.

"No...god no, Wills. It's nothing like that." Buffy moved forward, and tore Willow's arms from across her chest, holding both of her hands to stay in contact. Looking deep into hurt, confused, and lusty eyes, the blonde continued. "We need to talk about us. We've put it off for too long now. It's been three weeks since I've been back from LA, and we still haven't talked about what all of this means. It's not a bad thing. I promise." Willow looked up, slightly teary eyed, and caught Buffy's loving, reassuring gaze.

"Okay." Willow wiped her mouth, hoping to make her swollen lips go down before they started their talk. "Um...should we talk here, or um...maybe down at the tables?"

"Well...how about in Giles's office? That way we won't be interrupted, and they won't come here looking for us. We have been up here looking for 'Volume 7' for about ten minutes already." Buffy smirked, and intertwined their fingers together, pushing forward a little, using the momentum to bring Willow into a nice, warm embrace. "I don't want to be just friends either, Wills. Never doubt that I want you. The marks on your belly from last night should be some indication of that." The redhead blushed, and Buffy wrapped her arms tighter around her friend. "Let's go talk."

They made their way out of the stacks, and informed the gang that they were going to talk in the office for a little while. Giles asked if everything was okay but Xander and Cordelia just shrugged it off, thinking they were just taking a break. They wanted one, too, and both figured that they would get the chance for a break soon enough. Once in the office, Buffy went about shutting the door, locking it, and turning down the blinds. Willow just went, and sat down on the couch, fidgeting her hands nervously, while waiting for Buffy to hurry up with the curtains. When finished, the blonde sat down right next to Willow, and had to fight the urge to kiss her senseless again. They were there to talk, and talk they would.

"So..." Buffy just wasn't sure where to start.

"Yeah..." Nor was Willow. After two simultaneous sighs, they giggled, and sought contact with the other. Holding hands, and wrapping their legs together, Buffy finally decided to stop stalling.

"Okay, I suppose I should start, since I was the one that started this whole thing." She took another deep breath, and calmed herself before talking. "See, the thing is I kissed you. When I did, I had made up my mind that I was going to fight the Master. When I went to see you, I had every intention of running but when I saw you, I was willing to walk to my death. Thing is...sure, I died...but you saved me."

"No, Buffy. You saved me. You saved the world! I mean, you died to save the world. Sure, I was confused, and a little upset this summer but you came back, and you're here now. That's all that matters." When Buffy didn't say anything at first, Willow continued. "What is this? I just...when Xander told me that you had died but came back to life, you never came to see me before you left for LA, and you barely talked to me on the phone to tell me just that. I was upset about that. Sure, confused about the kissing me thing but worried to death about you. I just thought I was convenient...a sort of last kiss before you die."

"It was...well, supposed to be my last kiss before I died. I never had the courage to tell you how I felt, and when I had decided to face my own death, I didn't want to die without at least knowing. I was selfish, and I just had to know before I died, and I can honestly say that I died completed. Kissing you, like I mentioned three weeks ago, was my little taste of Heaven before crawling into the pits of Hell. If it were anybody else, there would have been no kiss. It was you, and is only you. Do you understand me?" Buffy's eyes and tone were vulnerable, and they were both crying at that point. Willow couldn't take it anymore, and wrapped them together in a tight embrace, burying her face into Buffy's neck. "I think that everything happens for a reason. Meeting you was the best thing that's ever happened to me."

"Oh, Buffy." Willow started placing tiny, fluttering kisses on the blonde's neck, and her words were mumbled but understood all the same. Buffy brought them loosely out of the tight embrace but still held onto the redhead, looking into her deep green eyes.

"There's something I need to ask you, and you can say no. I'm just taking a shot here, and it's not that just because of all of the kissing...even though I am in no way arguing with the kissing, or the touching." Buffy emphasized her point by tracing Willow's furrowed brow lightly, and placing a sweet kiss on her lips. "I was wondering that...maybe if you're not doing anything this Saturday...maybe you'd like to go to Funland with me? You can say no if you don't..."

"Are you asking me out on a date?" Willow's smile and childlike tone were sweet, and Buffy couldn't help but nod emphatically. Without answering first, she smiled mischievously, and tackled the blonde to the couch, straddling her hips. Leaning down, she just stared down into Buffy's hazel eyes, and found what she needed, as the blonde brushed her long auburn locks behind her ears. "I would love to go on a date with you, Buffy Summers."

"Good. So...think I can pick you up around noon then? I promise fun times with cotton candy, cheap prizes, and all sorts of riding goodness." Buffy beamed up at Willow, and the talk had finally happened. Things were a little bit clearer, and now, the two were actually going to do something date-like. They weren't just friends with benefits anymore. They were taking it to the next level, and both were terrified and excited at the same time.

-------

Saturday couldn't have come any sooner, and both girls were giddy as Mrs. Summers dropped them up at the park. Buffy had brought a backpack full of hidden compartments to hide knifes and stakes, just in case, and there was also a large thermos full of holy water. One could never be too careful around Sunnydale. Funland was a place full of rides, games, shops, and even the occasional Mickey Mouse knockoff. After paying the entrance fee for them, Buffy took Willow's hand in her own, and dragged her to their first destination. It was a little before one o'clock, and the park closed at eleven. They only had about ten hours, and Buffy planned on making the date as memorable as possible. First stop, the Scrambler. If she sat on the inside, the blonde knew that she'd get to push into Willow from the centrifugal force.

Ride after ride, the two girls giggled from one destination to the next. The cheesy music from the carousel in the background highlighted their trip to the cotton candy stand. They were having a blast, and couldn't stop holding hands, or giggling fiercely at the sheer amusement of the day that far. It was already six, and time to grab some dinner. Buffy took Willow to one of the nice, sit-down restaurants in the park. It was a date, and she had come completely prepared to cater to the redhead. After they ordered their food, the waiter left the table, still wide-eyed at the amount that Buffy had ordered. He just couldn't fathom where in the world she'd put it all in her tiny body.

"Are you having fun, Wills?" Buffy reached across the table, and made no hesitation in holding the redhead's, which were currently fidgeting with the cloth napkin next to her water.

"Oh, yes. I'm having a blast. I...is dating always like this? I mean, I know it's not all rides, and stuff but...you know what I mean." Willow smiled, and managed to stop herself before she went into a strong babble when she felt Buffy's thumbs caressing the tops of her hands. Her fingers were calloused from night after night of fighting the forces of darkness but Buffy's hands were deceptively soft.

"Actually, dating is exactly like a ride. There's guaranteed to be twists, turns, bends, up, downs, and loops. With you, though, I think it's worth all of the hard stuff. Do you think you'd like to...I don't know...maybe...be my girlfriend?" When Willow didn't answer immediately, Buffy took that as a sign of moving too fast. "I mean, I know this is just the first date but I was thinking that it would be nice...to be able to say that you were my girlfriend but if you don't think..."

"I'd love to...be your girlfriend, that is. I just don't know how to be anybody girlfriend. I mean, there was that time with Xander but we were just 5, and I don't think I'd break up with you because you stole my Barbie." Willow intertwined their fingers together, and started wiggling them around the top of the table, just enjoying the feel of Buffy's hands in hers. "Just don't take Snow Princess Barbie, and we'll be okay."

"Yes, ma'am." Buffy was about to lean across to seal the deal with a kiss but the waiter came with their food. Nobody noticed the slight scowl, and low growl that she put out for the interruption, and they continued to eat in comfortable conversation.

When they were finished eating, Buffy still had tons of energy to burn, and decided it was time to show off a little. Pulling Willow along to the gaming booths, she scanned them until she decided which one had the best prizes. Walking up to the throwing booth, she laid down her dollar, and the man gave her three balls. The three tables with a pyramid of small, heavy milk bottles were no match for the young blonde, as she threw three perfect pitches, and knocked them all down on each throw. Willow clapped on the sideline, and Buffy just smirked, as the man handed her a small, brown teddy bear. It wasn't the biggest thing but it would suffice. She handed it to Willow, and kissed her tenderly, causing the man at the booth to whistle at them. Blushing, she pulled the redhead to the next booth.

"Um...Buffy, what are you doing? You know this isn't really much of a challenge for you. I already think you're great, you don't have to show off for me." Willow held her hand, as Buffy handed the backpack over to her, and turned around to give the man her dollar. Turning back, she leaned in to whisper to her.

"I know that I don't have to...but I want to. I'm going to win them all...just for you." Buffy squeezed her hand, and turned back to the man, who was trying not to laugh at her.

"You sure about this, sweetheart? I could just give you one of these bunnies, and you can save yourself the embarrassment." The scruffy man took the toothpick from his mouth, and pulled down one of the extra small stuffed rabbits, and motioned to hand it over to her. She shook her head, and took the large sledgehammer. Leaning back to brace herself, it took no effort at all to swing the big red button, and hit the bell at the top. She didn't even grunt. The man looked at her astounded, and motioned for her to take her other two swings. Apparently, the little blonde didn't want the little bunny; she was going for the big one. After her third swing, the man had to shake his head to get out of his shock. Handing her the medium-sized pink rabbit, he was still in shock as the two girls walked off hand in hand.

"Buffy...this is more than enough. You can stop now. Really...people are starting to stare." Willow leaned in, and tried to clutch the rabbit and bear with one arm, as the other was still being dragged to the next booth. She squeaked fearfully when she saw that you had to catapult large rubber frogs onto small lily pads that were floating in a plastic 'pond.' Seeing her wide-eyed scared face, Buffy giggled, and embraced Willow, crushing the stuffed critters between them.

"It's okay. We can skip this one. Is there anything else that you want? Anything?" Buffy released the embrace, and stared lovingly into soft green eyes.

"Maybe let me win you something? It only seems fair." When Buffy smiled that infectious smile, Willow looked around, as Buffy took the backpack from her, and held the animals. When she saw the perfect thing, she intertwined their fingers together again, and it was her turn to drag her girlfriend to a game kiosk. She handed the man the dollar, and Buffy was giggling the entire time.

"Wills? I know you don't think you can throw things but the rubber duck booth?" Buffy hugged the animals to her chest, and kept giggling, as Willow bent over in concentration around the rubber duck pond. As each yellow bird swam past, she saw the one she wanted, and pulled it from the water. The man smiled at her childlike innocence towards the game, and looked at the bottom of the duck for the number. He chuckled, realizing that the
redhead probably knew what she was doing, and handed her the medium-sized pink pig. Willow beamed, and took it with excitement. All that concentration in math class during their statistics lesson paid off just then.

"Here. I figured...she can be a companion for Mr. Gordo. She can be like...Mrs. Gordo, and they can get married, and live happily ever after." Willow handed the pig over to her girlfriend, and Buffy knew then that she was absolutely in love with the redhead. There was no doubt whatsoever in that one perfect moment. A simple task, a fun little game had just become so much more for them.

"It's perfect, Wills. He'll like that...very much. Thank you." Buffy kissed her, and hugged her affectionately. She was surprised that the rubber duck man hadn't whistled like the milk bottle man, and when they broke the embrace he just nodded his congratulations. Buffy looked around then, and suddenly realized that the park was lit up all over the place, and Sunnydale was dark. Her slayer senses came to the front, so she helped Willow stuff their animals into the backpack, which proved more difficult than thought, since they didn't win the smaller ones. At least they didn't take it to an insane level, and go for the extra large ones that were probably taller than both them. "I suppose we should patrol the place."

"Yeah. Did you get your stakes?" Willow clutched the thermos to her side, and held Buffy's hand, as they stalked through the amusement park, trying to spot any danger.

After about an hour of just patrolling, Buffy's sensitive ears perked up to some scuffling, and muffled screaming. Pulling Willow along at an inhumanly speed, they made their way behind the bathroom building. Seeing two vampires holding a couple, Buffy kissed the redhead swiftly before moving into action, handing Willow a wooden cross for added safety. Stalking back to the vamps, she took on her infamous Slayer pose, and gasped in mock fright.

"This isn't the Twister!" Buffy stood there, arms crossed over her chest, stake clutched loosely in her palm. The two vampires took their attention from their victims, and focused on the interruption to their meal.

"Go away, little girl. Unless you wanna be next in line." Their deformed features made their speech a little slurred, and when she didn't move, they just stared at her in shock, while still holding their victims against the brick wall.

"Actually, I'm kind of impatient, so I think I'm gonna cut line this time." Buffy spoke like it was any other conversation, only letting out her inner Cordelia. It was fun to taunt the vampires; it allowed her an outlet to get the bitchiness from her system.

"All right, little girl. You asked for it." The first vampire dropped his victim, and the second followed suit. When the two vamps started stalking towards Buffy, she just stood there calmly. They hadn't quite picked up that she wasn't scared of them. The two victims, though, were scared, and after they came out of their shock, they ran back to the park. It would be last time they would take a detour to make out behind the bathroom. "You're gonna wish this was a roller coaster."

"I'm through with coasters for the day. Thought I'd take a break, and play some games." She came into fighting mode, and held her stake out for show. "Look, though...all I won was this lousy wooden stake. Oh, well." The vampires needed no more taunting, and lunged forward, attempting to attack her. She rolled her eyes, as they both crashed to the ground when she dodged their double-teaming. "Is that the best you can do? Come on...I had more action waiting in line for the rides."

"You're gonna wish you..." With that, the first vampire lunged, and found himself turning to dust seconds later. The second vamp had found his footing, and thought it was just a lucky shot.

"You'll never be able to...AHHH" He screamed, as Willow threw the thermos of holy water from behind him. She did a thumbs up to Buffy, who smiled back, before retreating to her spot with the cross clutched to her chest. Buffy for her part, waited for the vampire to stop smoking and screaming but when he wouldn't stop, she got bored, and staked him. Dusting herself off, and waving the smoke away, she moved back to Willow.

"Slayer Girl saves the day again!" Willow beamed, and hugged Buffy excitedly.

"That was a good move there, Wills. I'm proud of you." Buffy hugged her back, and tucked her stake back into her pocket. She took the backpack from Willow, and emptied its contents again. Pulling out her leather jacket, she put it on her shivering girlfriend.

"I can't take this, Buffy. You're cold, too." Willow went to take it from her shoulders but the blonde stopped her.

"Don't worry about me, Wills. I'm naturally warmer than most. You of all people should remember that..." Buffy smirked mischievously, as she bent down, and started stuffing the stuff back into the bag, and throwing her stakes and Willow's cross in for good measure. She'd done her sacred duty for the night; it was time for more Willow-goodness. Looking at her watch, she noticed that they had an hour before the park closed, and her mom would be there to pick them up at the front. "Let's go ride the Ferris wheel." Willow nodded, and they made their way towards the giant, extremely high ride. Once they were in circulation, Willow shivered from the chill in the air, and Buffy immediately moved in to cuddle.

"Oh...sorry. You must be cold, too. Do you want your jacket back now?" Willow went to take the jacket off but Buffy halted her movements. The chair rocked back and forth in an unsteady motion, as the blonde moved closer, and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend. Willow wasn't sure what she should do, so she placed her hands on Buffy's lap, cupping the blonde's free hand with both of hers. They just enjoyed the ride, stealing glances every so often, and trying to get even closer. "This was a great first date, Buffy. Thanks for asking me out."

"It was my pleasure, I promise you." Buffy freed her hand from Willow's grasp, and cupped her cheek lovingly, just holding her gaze as the wheel kept turning and turning. "You are so beautiful." When Willow smiled at the sappiness, Buffy took the initiative, and kissed her tenderly, while stroking her long, auburn locks. After another few circulations and stops, the ride was over, and the two exited the park hand in hand. When they got to the parking lot, Willow noticed Ms. Summers' Jeep, and let go of Buffy's hand. At the blonde's confused look, Willow had to explain.

"Oh. It's your mom. It's not that I didn't want to hold your hand anymore, I do. Just that you might not want your mom to see it, and then she'd know that we were girlfriendly, and I just didn't want to..." Willow was stopped by Buffy kissing her soundly, in front of the Jeep. There was no doubt Ms. Summers saw that display of affection. This was Buffy's way of telling her mom that she was 'with' Willow. "That was nice..." Willow's grin, and heavy lidded eyes was her way of telling.

"Come on before Mom has a fit." Buffy pulled her along, and Willow's eyes widened when she realized exactly what had happened, and exactly where they were going.

"Buffy! Wait!! I don't want your mom to be mad at me!" Willow was trying to stop the blonde but all that happened was her sneakers were being skidded across the asphalt.

"It's okay, Willow. I already talked to her about liking you, and she seemed cool with it. I told her that we were going on a date. Why do you think she said you couldn't stay the night?" Buffy kept pulling her girlfriend to the car, and finally managed to get them there. "Breathe, Wills. It's okay. She could never hate you. I don't think that anybody could really, honestly hate you. You're too loveable." She rubbed Willow's arms to calm her down, and once the redhead's breathing was no longer in panic mode, Buffy opened the front door for Willow.

"Hello, Willow, Buffy." Joyce sat behind the wheel like nothing was wrong. She'd already had her minor panic attack when Buffy had mentioned last year that she was falling in love with the redhead. She'd had time to adjust to it, and when her daughter had mentioned that the two were actually going on a date, and that she planned on asking Willow to be her girlfriend, all that Joyce could do was smile. The redhead kept her somewhat rebellious daughter in line, and the older woman had never seen Buffy so happy. That was all she needed to know to be okay with the turn in her only daughter's lifestyle. At least she wasn't blowing up the school gym again.

Willow reluctantly climbed in, and Buffy shut the door for her before climbing in the backseat. It took no longer than two seconds before the blonde was leaning forward towards the front. As they started back towards the house in silence, Willow noticed that Ms. Summers had pulled up into her driveway. She was not surprised that her parents' car was not there. They were out of town again. Buffy jumped out of the car, and opened Willow's door for her. Before they went to walk to the door, Joyce called her back. She, too, had noticed that Willow's parents were gone again. Being the gentle, caring woman that she was, there was no way that she would let the young girl stay there again.

"Buffy, Willow...wait." The girls turned back around to acknowledge her. "I'm going to trust you girls, and please don't let me down here."

"Mom...is everything okay?" Buffy helped Willow out of the car, and stayed by the open car door with a questionable expression.

"Willow, why don't you grab an overnight bag? You can stay at our house tonight. When will your parents be back?" Joyce smiled at the excited expressions forming on the two girls' faces.

"Oh...I...um, next week?" Willow never was certain. Joyce sighed, and prayed that she got massive mom points for this.

"Why don't you bring enough to last you until they get back?"
When she said that, Buffy jumped in the car, and hugged her mom as best she could.

"We'll be right back. I love you, mom." Buffy jumped back out of the car, and the two giggling girls ran into the house. After throwing all sorts of things (actually in an organized fashion...this was still Willow) into two overnight bags, Buffy grabbed them, and Willow grabbed her laptop and school bag before they went back to the car. "All set?"

"Wait, Buffy." The blonde stopped walking, as Willow locked the house shut. "I don't want to let your mom down. She said that she trusts us, and this is the nicest thing that anybody's ever done for me before...I...I just..." Buffy understood, as she noticed the tears start to stream down her girlfriend's face.

"Oh, Wills." Buffy wrapped her in an embrace, and kissed the tears away, while rubbing her back. "I know what you mean. Mom is great, and she thinks you are, too. Let's get going."

"Buffy...just because we're..." Willow was blushing fiercely.

"I know." Buffy released the embrace, and flung one bag over her shoulder in order to open the car doors. After everything was settled, the rest of the trip back to Revello Drive was made in idle chitchat, mostly about what the girls did at the amusement park.

------

"Today was great, wasn't it?" Willow walked into the dimly lit bedroom, and saw Buffy already under the blankets with a huge grin.

"It was." The blonde threw the blanket out for her girlfriend, and when Willow curled under the blanket, Buffy turned off the bedside lamp.

"Thanks for today. It was the best date ever. I don't have much to go on but I'd say that it ranks up there with the best of them. That's not to say that our other dates will be bad, I'm sure they won't...oh! That is if you want other dates." Willow didn't want the day to end. It had been perfect.

"I definitely want there to be more dates." Buffy pulled her girlfriend into a snuggle, and started playing with her soft, auburn locks. "Hey, Will?"

"Hmm?" The redhead was enjoying the attention a little too much, and her stomach was doing that flip-floppy thing again that it usually did when she was this close to Buffy.

"I know...um...I know that we agreed not to do anything but...but do you think I could maybe have a goodnight kiss?" She was vulnerable again, and she was more than willing to take those risks.

"Well..." Willow acted as though she was pondering the proposition, and started to play with the hem of Buffy's night shirt. "I don't want you to think I'm easy. I don't normally sleep with a girl on the first date."

"Willow!" Buffy was shocked at the sudden brazen quality behind
her girlfriend's playfulness. They were finally getting back to that comfort zone that both had missed the past month. The two just giggled; then Willow became bold, and started to kiss Buffy's collarbone. "I thought you didn't want me to think you're easy?"

"Well...no need to revert back to pleasantries. I've seen you half naked, remember Summers?" Willow was blushing, quite aware that she was becoming more brazen but loving it nonetheless.

"This is true...but you were the one that said..." Buffy was silenced by a deep, sensuous kiss. After the shock wore off, she gave herself over to her girlfriend, and pulled her body on top of her more, while running her hands smoothly across the skin underneath Willow's pajama top.

"I know what I said...Your mom is trusting us here, and I don't want to let her down. I never said that I was going to stop kissing you." Willow took more initiative, and slid her own tentative hand under Buffy's top, deepening the kiss with low moans.

"Maybe we should stop... After today, I don't think that I can hold back once we get started." Buffy was speaking frantically between kisses but she still had some control over her hormones. She realized what her mom had done was a big deal, and the blonde had every intention to follow the new house rules. No hanky-panky. They could still kiss but Joyce was trusting them to be civilized, and civilized they would be.

"You're right..." Willow said it but that didn't stop her. She just kept fondling her girlfriend's breast, and enjoying the feel of their lips, tongues, and teeth all over each other. There was no denying that Buffy did things to her that nobody, not even Xander could ever do.

"I'm serious. If we don't stop now, I think that we'll both do something we're not ready for." Buffy kissed her firmly one last time before holding the redhead above her body at arm's length. The two tried to gather in their breathing, and didn't talk for long moments, just gazing lovingly at the other. Buffy finally broke the silence. "Of all the rides, games, and fun we had today, nothing compares to the fact that I got to do all of those things with you. With Willow Rosenberg, my girlfriend."

"Buffy..." She had that misty-eyed, adorable face, and the blonde couldn't help but kiss her one last time before they snuggled back under the covers, and let their day at the park end on a happy note.

A/N: I'm thinking about using this alt-verse for Wiffy monthly theme stories. What do you think? Is it worth it?
