I see the fear in Buffy's eyes. It really is true. Angelus is loose again. I have to find that permanence spell, and fast. Maybe we can get Angel to act like Angelus still when he's with Nik...I don't know much about him, though. Would he be able to tell? I mean...Faith couldn't tell when they pulled that trick on her. I wonder...I mean...hmm...

We all get in a cab, and I tell the driver where to go. The nearest magick shop, and pronto.

Buffy looks at me with questions in her eyes. For once, I don't see any fear there. She's not afraid of me and my witchy mojo. Oh, gods...I want her...

Must think not of sex...no sex no sex no sex no...mmmm...Buffy...

"I just need to pick up something really quick. I'll be in and out no problem." I try to get out but the other three follow me in; this spell I'm thinking of is dangerous, and I don't want them there to see it. I could seriously get hurt but what could be worse when Angelus gets his dirty mitts on us? What if he already has somebody? What if he has Giles? Or...or Xander!

That's when I realize I have to up the timing b/c I haven't heard from Xander since Sunday, and that was the day before Buffy and Dawn arrived. That's unusual for him. Goddess, let them all be safe?

I go immediately to the dark magicks section. I know what I'm looking for; I shouldn't have much problem. Gathering the supplies I know I'll need, I ask the shopkeeper for an Orb of Thessulah, a jug of Indonesian blue-tongued skink blood, and a 'brownie' (b/c I know they carry it, and I won't smoke it...Giles wouldn't say anything but I'll bet he made the occasional brownie mix). The other three just look at me like I've lost my mind, and I know I'm red to the core.

"It's to calm the nerves....a...uh...a trick I learned from the coven in Devonshire. It helps to..." I'm relieved when Buffy just smirks, and asks for a bite. Maybe she needs to calm her nerves, too. She needs to stay focused, and so do I...plus, I love chocolate.

I go in the back, leaving the other three in the main room, not telling them what I'm doing; I don't want them to worry. I kissed Buffy on the lips real quick but I guess she's still a little frisky, too b/c she grabs me again, more than a kiss. Like a promise to come...the only kind of promise she can give me, and I'm happier than I've ever been...just in this moment. Buffy said she loved 'her' on the plane, indicating me...she actually voiced it. I know how hard it is for her to say that, and she said it...to me. I love her. Me, too.

Breathing out a deep gust of air like a true lover would, I give them directions to look for a certain spell, not telling them that I'm going to actually DO a spell. If Buffy saw what I was doing, she would stop me, and this needs to be done. I'll take the yelling afterwards; it's better than the killing and torturing, maiming...okay, I need to stop before I make myself even more nervous. That's why I bought the brownie.

Doing all the appropriate stuff, I send my thanks the goddess for allowing me the opportunity to return a soul indefinitely. It took me all of ten minutes, not much of a struggle. I guess the Angel part of Angelus is stronger in him now. I clean up after myself, casting tea leaves to make sure that the spell worked, just for safe measures. I could feel it work. A part of MY soul went into him; it was the reason the spell was risky. I couldn't let him take of me, and it was a risk I was willing to take if it would help Buffy. I would do anything to help Buffy, and as I finish cleaning up, come back out, and smile at her, I fall to the floor in a dizzy spell. This wasn't as strong as the slayer spell but it took something from me...something I'll never get back. The last thing I hear is the shopkeeper telling Buffy that she's never actually seen anybody give their soul to another creature...

The crazy things we do for love...
