Obsession

part eight

[reviews]

Willow had no clue why she was doing what she was, but it didn't stop her.

Scaling the wall to the mansion, Willow made her way around back to where she knew Buffy's bedroom was.

Stopping, she looked up and saw the balcony that led to Buffy.

Looking around for a way to climb the wall, her eyes lit up when she saw the drain pipe.

Willow was up the wall in seconds and standing on Buffy's balcony before she could reason herself out of it.

The thick blood red drapes hid Buffy from her view and she closed her eyes, picturing the room.

Peeling back a corner of the curtain, the corner where she knew Buffy would be in no danger from the sun, she peeked in.

Buffy was curled up on her bed, sheets around her ankles. She had her pillow clutched to her and she seemed to be dreaming from what Willow could tell.

She was also naked and Willow had no problem seeing everything.

Ignoring the voice in her head that begged her to leave this place, to go back home where she was safe, Willow entered the room, letting the drape fall closed again.

Walking to the edge of the bed, she gently eased herself down, reaching out a hand to stroke the skin of Buffy's face.

Reaching down, she pulled the blankets from the base of the bed up to cover Buffy, but when she turned back, the Vampire was wide awake and looking at her.

Willow jumped back, but all Buffy did was sit up.

"Have to say, I didn't expect to see you here."

Willow turned around to leave, but Buffy stopped her.

"Wait, stay for a while," seeing Willow pause, Buffy added a soft, "please."

Willow moved back to the bed and took a seat, a little uncomfortable with Buffy's nudity.

Buffy smiled, and Willow was struck by the beauty of it.

"So, why'd you come?"

Willow shrugged her shoulders.

"Truthfully, I have no clue."

Buffy smirked inside. She hadn't even started trying to seduce the Slayer, not really anyway, but here Willow was, already under her spell - so to speak.

"Worried?"

Willow's eyes moved down to the patch of skin that was covered by a gauze. It was off to the right of her heart, in-between her breasts.

Reaching out, without thinking, she pulled it off to see the angry red mass that lay under it.

"Looks sore."

Buffy winced, remembering the pain.

"Still, I'm sure that you've done worse to others in the past."

Willow was prepared for a number of things to happen. She was prepared for Buffy to attack her, she was prepared to see Angelus walk through the door, hell she was even prepared to see the devil himself lurking in the room somewhere.

What she wasn't prepared for, was the hurt that she saw in Buffy's eyes.

Buffy looked away so that the Slayer would miss the look of remembrance on her face for times gone by. Not because she was ashamed for anything she had done, she wasn't. Proud was more like it.

"Touché."

Willow fidgeted, not knowing what to do, or say for that matter.

Buffy patted the bed beside her, wanting the Slayer to sit.

Willow moved forward heading for the bed, but paused and turned so she was sitting in the leather chair Wes had used when he was tending to his Sire's wound.

"What did you do to me?"

Buffy cocked her head to the side, wondering what she meant by that.

"I should hate you, you've killed girls just like me. You've killed humans, tortured them even. So why, after all this, can I not just hate you? Why are there complex... feelings involved? What did you do to me?" Willow sounded quite distressed by that, and Buffy had to restrain herself from gloating.

"I can't tell you the answer to that Willow. No-body but you can say what is going on inside. But I can tell you this. The feeling is mutual."

At Willow's blank look Buffy elaborated.

"You say I've killed all theses Slayer's? how many Master Vamps have you killed? How many demons? Everything I represent to your would? You represent to mine. I shouldn't be feeling these things for you, hell, I shouldn't even be feeling them. But I do, and its real." Buffy frowned at herself, aware that what she was saying was true.

Willow stood up and began pacing.

"Its not the same and you know it."

Buffy rested against her pillows, wishing she had a glass of blood red wine in her hand. It was actual red wine spiced with blood. She would have to get Wes to check to see if they had any let.

"Why?"

"Because, I only kill evil things! You kill people! Children, adults, heck, whole families!" Willow stood with her hands on her hips, her red hair hanging down around her shoulder, and Buffy couldn't help think that she looked beautiful.

"You're the Slayer, that's your job. I'm a Vampire, that's my job."

And that was it. That was the one thing that Buffy knew was going to be a problem. That one little difference was going to cause her a load of bother.

Willow stood up, and Buffy knew she was right.

"Do yourself a favour and leave town."

With those parting words, Willow opened the drapes and stepped out into the sunshine, leaving Buffy alone in the darkened room.

Seven

Buffy woke with the sunset. Spread out on her bed, she breathed deeply and caught the lingering scent of the Slayer.

Looking towards her door as it opened, she saw Angelus and Penn enter. They were the only two that would dare enter her room without knocking, not that she would punish the others if they ever did.

"Nice sleep?"

Buffy purred as she stretched, noticing the hungry looks Angelus and Penn were giving her.

"I slept like the dead."

Angelus smirked at her pun and sat down on the bed, Penn taking the side opposite him.

"We were thinking. We should really start keeping people here. I woke up around three hungry." Angelus ran his hands down her exposed body, a lustful look entering his eyes.

Buffy had been thinking alone the same lines herself.

"We'll bring some back tonight." Standing up, uncaring of her nudity, Buffy walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower, happy when she turned to see Penn and Angelus were already stripped and aroused, waiting for her to join them.

---------------------------------------------------------

The three Vampire's met the rest of their family in the main room, all chomping at the bit to go hunt. The family bond was the strongest there was, apart from the Sire/Childe bond and the Mate bond.

Buffy took centre stage and address her Childer.

"When you hunt tonight, destroy the bodies. I don't care how, but make them disappear."

Angelus frowned. He didn't really care what happened to the bodies, but he wanted to know why his Sire wanted things done this way.

"Why?"

Buffy vamped out and growled for the minions to clear the room, leaving just Penn, Angelus, Wes and Gunn. The only ones she trusted.

Shaking off her fangs, she answered Angelus' question, though it was aimed at them all.

"The Slayer paid me a visit today. Seems she wont be too hard to seduce, hell, she's half way there already. But, and this is a big but, the Vampire thing is going to be a problem. Now, I can't get round that, but I can tempt her over. Make her see that we aren't all bad," Buffy ignored Angelus' snicker, "we have to trick her into thinking that anyway."

"You mean, manipulate her without her knowledge. Break her down, piece by piece." Angelus paused and ran his tongue over his top row of fangs.

"I like that."

Buffy rolled her eyes at him.

"So, I want no bodies showing up, or you'll regret it."

"How about we drop them off at the cemetery, maybe open a crypt or two and throw the bodies in."

"Too risky, someone would notice."

"Burn them?" This came from Penn.

"I think that people would notice the smell of burning bodies, just because they ignored it at Auschwitz, doesn't mean they will here." Buffy sighed, this might be harder than they thought.

"Right, well, how about we bury them?" Wes put forward his idea.

Buffy's eyes lit up.

"Wes, I knew there was a reason I turned you. We can get the minions to dig the graves out the back."

Wes smiled, and licked his fangs.

Buffy told them all to make sure they brought the bodies home tonight, they all had cars, so it shouldn't be a problem.

"What, we aren't going together?" Buffy heard the unease in Angelus voice.

Sharing a knowing look with Wes, Buffy turned her attention to Angelus.

"You and I will be. The others are on their own."

Angelus was fine with that. He knew Buffy wouldn't let anyone hurt him.

"Okay."

Gunn stood up and bent to give Buffy a kiss on the cheek goodbye.

"Come back safe."

Wes nodded to Buffy and left, hoping to find a nice young teenager to quell his desires. If she happened to die during it, well then so be it.

Penn looked from his Sire to Angelus, not wanting to leave on his own.

"Penn, your with us as well." Buffy didn't know why, but she wanted them both with her tonight.

He perked up and grabbed his coat. Together the three left the mansion.

---------------------------------------------------------

The gang had gathered in the library to discuss a plan of action regarding Buffy and Angelus, not to mention the other three Vampire's.

"I say we find out where they are staying and bomb the place to the ground." Xander's suggestion wasn't made in jest.

Willow rolled her eyes at him.

"I think the general public would notice an explosion of that magnitude Xander." Giles said, all the while his attention on his Slayer. There was something going on with her today.

"Beside, I already know where they are. It's the old mansion down on Crawford street. Did I not mention that part before?"

Willow looked around, and by the look on Giles' face, she hadn't.

"Okay, so I never. Anyway, we need to stop them, and soon."

They spent the next hour talking over battle plans. But ultimately, they could do nothing until they knew what the demons were going to do.

Giles looked up when the library doors opened.

A young brunette walked in and stopped when she saw the gang all sitting.

"Hey, I'm looking for a Mister Giles? I'm Faith."
