Chapter 7

"Will..." Tara started but Willow interrupted her by putting her hand up.

"Tara why didn't you think we could protect you?" Willow asked. She was angry, but also a little confused.

Tara was holding nothing back so she answered truthfully, "I didn't trust Buffy enough. I knew you told her about us, and I swear I did not know they would hurt her," Willow snorted not entirely believing Tara, "Willow you mind not trust me now but I swear I am telling the truth. But I knew that she loved you I saw it every time she looked at you. I just thought maybe after you told her she might just not care about me anymore," Tara finished lamely.

Willow was looking at her shocked. Buffy not caring. Who does she think Buffy is, "Who do you think Buffy is, because that is so not her, and you know that."

Tara smiled at Willow and said, "I guess I knew that, but deep down I knew I could never hold all of your heart, and for that I was jealous of her."

"You knew I liked her?" Willow said not knowing how. She had only really sorted out her feelings towards Buffy today.

Tara giggled slightly at the look on Willow's face, "Think about it Willow how many times have you looked at her just a little longer or noticed something stupid like her hands?"

Willow gasped as occasions exactly like that washed over her mind.

~ The night Buffy had came over to Willow's house right before she had gone to the master. Willow leaned back against the headboard looking at the blond coming into her room. She had been crying almost the whole time since she had seen the bodies. Her eyes slowly roved over the blonds body as she came in.

'She looks nice in a dress. It really holds onto all the right parts. Wait what am I thinking.'

"I thought I could take anything. But, Buffy, this... this was different," Willow said thinking back to the bodies.

"It'll be all right," Buffy said hugging Willow gently.

"I'm trying to think how to say it... to explain it so you understand," Willow said trying to get through to the blond.

"It doesn't matter as long as you're okay," Buffy had said. Willow now realized she was pretty much telling her she loved her.

"I'm not okay. I knew those guys. I go to that room every day. And when I walked in there, it... it wasn't our world anymore. They made it theirs. And they had fun. What are we gonna do?" Willow had said starting to cry again.

"What we have to. Promise me you'll stay in tonight, okay?" Buffy asked looking at Willow with a quiet desperation.

Willow nodded and said, "Buffy."

Buffy turns around and said, "Yes," thinking the redhead needed her help.

"I like your dress," 'More than you know. Stop it.'

Buffy smiles and says, "Take care," before she leaves.~

Willow sighed as the memory's kept coming.

~ One night Buffy had got a cut on her finger that was down to the bone. She had come to Willow's late at night. Now the redhead was slowly applying stitches to the wound.

When she was finished all she said was, "All done."

"Thanks," Buffy had said. But Willow was to caught up feeling the slayers hand.

'So soft how can it be so soft after so much,' she let go of Buffy's hand which stopped the thoughts.

"Hey Wills," Buffy said in a small voice, "Can I stay over here tonight. Just my mom is working all night at the gallery, and yours are gone. Oh sorry I know you don't like it when your parents are gone. But please. I will be really good. I will even make breakfast for you."

Willow smiled. On the rare occasions Buffy babbled the redhead found it extremely cute, "Of course."

They were both in Willow's bed in about an hour. Willow was about to fall asleep when she felt Buffy shift and snuggle in closer to her. Draping an arm over her chest, a leg over her own, and snuggling her head into Willow's neck.

Willow got no sleep the rest of the night. She was to busy watching a certain girl sleep she never got any of her own.~

"Oh," Willow said. Tara couldn't help but smile a little at Willow's shocked expression, "I really never thought of it..."

She would have said more if not for a crash out in the living room, "Buffy," said Willow worriedly walking out of the room downstairs.

The sight she saw at the bottom of the stairs was weird, and scary for her. Buffy had rolled off the couch. Bullets of sweat dripped off her head covering her whole face in a slight sheen. The sheet was twisted around her like a straight jacket. The weirdest thing was the way her body shock from head to toe.

"Buffy," she said and got no response.

She went up to Buffy and shook her hard, "Buffy!" she yelled. What worried her most after that was she was still getting no reaction at all from Buffy.

If Willow had not been preoccupied with Buffy she would have looked to the window and seen the smiling faces of Spike and Drusilla.

"I told you a little bit of poison would be fun," Drusilla said gazing at the twitching slayer who had been put back up on the couch.

"Dru honey. You didn't use a little. I mean if enough to kill two cows is a little then yes," Spike said putting the letter they had made on Giles' front porch.

A/N: I am sure you noticed I used some actual dialogue from the show. So just a disclaimer I did not come up with that. The other flashback I did. Please Review.
