Chapter 11
Dawn made her way out of her room trying not to wake up her sister.
She decided to check in on Buffy, and changed directions to her sister's room.
She opened the door slowly praying that the door didn't creak or anything.
She let her eyes adjust to the darkness, and saw Buffy clutching to Willow in her sleep her head resting gently on Willow's chest.
Dawn looked to Willow, and saw the redhead looking her in the eyes. She put her index finger to her mouth silently sushing Dawn.
As Dawn closed the door the last thing she saw was Willow resting her chin on top of Buffy's head, and stroking Buffy's hair out of her eyes.
It was one o'clock in the afternoon when Buffy finally started to stir a little.
"Good morning," Willow said, but then thought about it, and added, "Well really good afternoon. Sleepyhead."
Buffy groaned, and snuggled farther into Willow.
The redhead in question sighed softly, and pushed Buffy back a little so they could see each other's eyes, "Buffy its one, and you need to get some food in you okay."
All she got in response was a small nod.
Willow got up out of bed, and reached down, and heaved Buffy out of the bed.
She put a possessive arm around Buffy's waist that also helped keep her steady.
They made their way down the stairs taking one at a time trying not to aggravate any of Buffy's injuries.
The smell of pancakes reached their noses, and Buffy urged Willow silently to go faster.
Willow chuckled at this, and smiled on the inside, 'Now that's my girl. Always wants food.'
Xander pulled out a chair for Buffy who slumped into it exhausted.
Tara ran over with a pan filled with pancakes and shoved them onto Buffy's plate.
Willow looked at Tara with confusion. Luckily Xander explained it to her, "Tara came over here this morning. At around ten, and we are having pancakes for lunch just for the heck of it."
Willow nodded, and ave Xander a small smile for his own way of making everyone happier.
They sat in silence for the next ten minutes the only real noise, was the constant clatter of Buffy's fork, and knife.
Willow looked around the table, and noticed three people weren't there, "Hey Xander. Where is Dawn, Giles, and Anya?"
Xander looked up from his coffee to answer her, "Anya, and Giles are going to the Magic Box to close it down. Dawn is with them, but only went to help Anya with the groceries," Xander said then added, "And Giles also wanted to pick up a couple demon books so we could maybe check around for the thing that got Buffy."
Buffy was silent for a moment, as she started off into space and said, "It wasn't a demon. At least I don't think it was. It was a girl, and there was also a guy there who she said was her brother. Oh ya, and she kept on asking about some key."
"Did she mention what it was?" Giles asked carrying in a bag of groceries for Anya, and Dawn.
"No," Buffy simply answered shaking her head to emphasize that point.
Willow excused herself, and Buffy from the table so they could talk for a bit.
"Buffy are you okay with this?" Willow said. When Buffy gave her a blank stare she said, "Like you, and me?"
Buffy smiled, and didn't explain in words. Instead she let her lips cover Willow in a passionate kiss, "Does that answer your question?"
Willow smirked and said, "I think I might need a bit more persuasion," before she kissed Buffy again holding the blond tightly around the waist.
Buffy let her arm's curl around Willow's neck. When their tongues met each other they both moaned low at the contact.
After a minute Willow broke the contact, and leaned towards Buffy making their foreheads touch.
They were both out of breath, and it took a minute before their breathing was back under control.
Buffy caught Willow's hand in hers, and held it tight.
Buffy pulled a necklace out of her pocket, "May I?" she asked. Willow just nodded at her silent tears making their way down her face.
Buffy gently kissed them away and put the necklace around Willow's neck.
Willow smiled and kissed Buffy on the cheek.
They walked back into the kitchen holding hands, "Hey guys we kinda have something to say," Willow said getting everyone's attention.
"Well we, that is to say me, and Willow are well..."
"Together," they both finished.
The room filled up with silence.
