Buffy looked at her friend, wondering what she was thinking.

Willow had been quiet for too long, and the Slayer was getting nervous.

"Will? You okay in there?"

Willow jumped. She had forgotten Buffy was there, she was so lost in her daydream, where Buffy had a staring role.

"Yeah, sorry, just a lot going on in here." Willow pointed towards her head and continued walking on.

Buffy stopped and waited for Willow to realise it.

When the redhead turned to her, the Slayer smiled.

"Come on, I know the perfect place." Buffy held her hand out for Willow to take, and began pulling the redhead towards the edge of town.

Willow tensed when she realised that Buffy was taking her to Angel's place.

It wasn't that she didn't like the Vampire, but she was jealous of the time he got to spend with Buffy, time that she couldn't have because the Slayer needed to patrol.

Buffy noticed the tensing and stopped, turning to face her best friend.

"Will?"

Willow met Buffy's eyes and smiled.

"I'm okay."

Buffy took a deep breath, knowing that Willow's smile wasn't real.

"Come on, the view alone is worth the walk."

Intrigued, Willow followed Buffy, frowning when the Slayer circled around the back of Angel's mansion to come to a set of steps.

"Close your eyes."

Willow blinked, but at the pleading look on Buffy's face, she closed her eyes.

"Don't let me fall."

Buffy smiled and moved her arm around Willow's body to guide her up the steps.

"Never."

Willow controlled her reaction well to her friends touch.

When they reached the top, the Slayer led the redhead over to the cliff's edge.

"Open them."

Willow opened her eyes, and gasped.

She had lived in this town her whole life, and not once had she been here.

It was amazing. The whole town was below them.

When she turned to Buffy, she realised how close the Slayer was to her, seeing as how Buffy hadn't took her arm from around her waist.

Buffy took a deep breath and gave her friend a smile before breaking away and sitting down on the soft grass.

Willow followed and the two sat in silence until Willow couldn't take it anymore.

"How did you find this place?"

Buffy smiled and relaxed, resting back on her bent arms.

"Angel told me about. He showed me just after I moved here. Told me it was a great place to think," she looked over to the redhead, curbing the impulse to lean over and kiss her, "I figured that you might need that right now."

Buffy wasn't exactly sure what was bothering Willow, and the fact that Willow hadn't opened up to her about it, hurt.

Willow smiled, but then she remembered just what it was that was playing on her mind.

Buffy saw the smiled drop and sighed.

"Willow, what is it?"

Willow took a deep breath and blew it out slowly.

"Its nothing, just things at home are not the best." Willow cringed inside. She had just lied to her best friend. She had just lied to Buffy.

Buffy knew Willow was lying, and she knew Willow knew she knew. The redhead wasn't good with fibs.

"Okay, so it's a secret, I get that."

Willow cringed and looked away. She wanted to tell the Slayer, but she didn't want to loose Buffy.

Buffy sighed and picked at the strands of grass before her fingers.

Neither knew how it happened, but suddenly they were close, closer than they had been.

When Willow felt soft lips on her own, she groaned.

Buffy pulled back and met the stunned gaze of her best friend.

Willow blinked and wondered if what she just happened, actually happened.

When it finally sank in, she smiled.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

Buffy looked over at the girl sitting beside her.

"Come on Will, I thought I made it plain enough, what with the hand holding and the spontaneous hugs. I figured that you already knew."

Buffy inched closer, giving Willow plenty of time to back away, before letting their lips brush.

She was the first to end the kiss.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Buffy used Willow's own words against her.

Willow never answered with words. She moved forward and caught Buffy's lips in a kiss that soon had each gasping for breath.

Buffy groaned when Willow's tongue came out to stoke along her bottom lip.

Opening her mouth, she gasped when her own tongue met Willow's, each one wrapping around its mate.

When they separated again, Buffy rested her forehead against Willow's and smiled at her.

"Wow."

Willow giggled and nodded her head.

"Definite wow."

Buffy shared the giggle before locking eyes with Willow again.

"What happens now?"
