Primal Hiding

by Salix

The Arrival

[reviews]

(Earlier that night)

The slayer ran without stopping to catch her breath, ignoring all of the tingles she got whenever she was near something evil. She just had to get away. She just had to get to her comfort. She found it frustrating that she wasn't able to outrun her other half. She could hear the human part of her inside her mind weeping. She was crying out, saying that she doesn't understand, and wanting nothing more then just to hide away, which she is still doing.

Her speed had slowed down a little but she refused to stop. She was determined to get to her destination before the end of the night. She could feel her muscles straining and she had to stop for a little rest. She veered over to the left and hid in an alley. She sat down on top of a wooden crate to catch her breath and she had a little chat with herself. Even though she's in pain and is confused beyond comprehension she's willing to admit that it feels good to be in charge.

/Go back to Sunnydale. Stay away from Angel. He can't help us, going to him will only make things worst./ the human part of her said. The crying had stopped, but the pain could still be heard. The slayer shook her head no.

*I not going to see Angel. I never wanted Angel, you wanted Angel. This all your fault. You had to keep quiet. Willow ours, you know it, I know it. But you stupid and you did nothing. Willow mine and now she not want us!* she screamed inside of her mind, and stood up and punched the brink wall. Her fist easily went through the rough hardened clay, and all that resulted was a couple of bloody knuckles.

/I was afraid. Do you honestly think that she ever wanted us? She was with Oz until he left and now she's probably with that Tara girl. And how come we haven't met Tara yet? If Willow knew all along how we felt about her how come she never said anything about her going gay?/

The slayer growled at the mention of Tara's name and the thought of Willow sharing herself with anyone other then her. When Willow was with Oz the slayer inside would go crazy. She would see them together and scream at her human self to let her out so she could rip the werewolf to pieces. It got even worst when Willow and Oz started sleeping together. Even human Buffy had a hard time controlling herself whenever she would smell Oz all over Willow.

The slayer jumped up needing to find some type of release for all of this anger. She concentrated on her surroundings and took off in the direction of the evil thing that was alerted to her senses. As she got closer she started to run faster, feeling a burning rage inside of her as images of Willow together with another woman started to play through her mind. She found herself in a cemetery that she's only been in once before, and she was silently charging towards three vampires. As she neared they became aware of her presence and they started to run for their undead lives.

She gave chance and lunged onto the nearest one, both of them falling to the ground. He landed on his stomach, the slayer was on his back, and she started beating him, breaking his bones as he howled out in pain. She twisted off his head and he turned to dust as she ran for the other two. She felt the growl working its way through her body, up to her throat and it came out of her mouth as a loud roar, sounding just like the lioness that she is. It caused more fear to course through the vampires and they started to run faster then they ever have before.

She caught the second one by grabbing onto her long brown hair and yanked down hard. The vampire flipped backwards, the hair literally ripped out of her head in a large chunk and she screamed. Her feet straight up in the air, she landed on top of her head, her neck snapped and the slayer reached down and twisted it off, turning the evil thing into dust and then she ran off after the third one.

He was a little harder to catch, once being a track star before he was turned. That along with the natural vampire speed made him a lot faster then normal vampires. But she quickly caught up to him. She grabbed him by his shirt and pulled back. The clothing was ripped off in the process. He tried pleading with her, and she wrapped her hands around his throat to silence him. She kept squeezing, harder and harder until his eyes threatened to pop out of his skull. Then his neck collapsed in on itself, severing his head from his body and he too was dust just like his friends.

The slayer screamed very loudly and then fell down to the ground. She kept her senses open, not wanting to be caught off guard, as she cried again. The human inside of her was telling her to get up, to get out of the cemetery and get back to Sunnydale, but she would have none of it. She tuned her out and just sat there, crying, her body still bruised and sporting dried blood from when she tripped on that stupid rock. She sat there for twenty minutes before she stood up and took a look around.

She knew where she was, and she knew how to get where she was going. She took off running again. Her mind was flooded with the shouts of protest that her human side was giving, but she ignored them. She needed to go there, she had to if she was going to come out of this rejection with her sanity along with her. She arrived at the entrance of the hotel and stood in front of the huge doors, just staring for a few minutes before she made her way inside.
