Primal Hiding

Needing Therapy

[reviews]

Cordelia couldn't fall asleep. She just wasn't used to sleeping in the same bed with another person, and on her back for that matter. Yep, when it comes to sleeping Cordelia is a stomach girl. She likes to wrap her arms under her pillow and bury her head in the softness of it, her stomach and legs pressed into the mattress. So because of the body lying half on her and the fact that she's on her back, she couldn't go to sleep.

She wasn't really complaining. This wasn't as bad as she first thought it was going to be. Buffy's skin was really soft, she weight about as much as a Chihuahua, and listening to her rhythmic breathing was actually quite soothing. Things could definitely be worst. She thought that the tragedy was a shame, Willow had no clue was she was missing. She hoped that the redhead would come around because she knew that if they were together they would both be very happy.

She looked over at the door when she heard it open and she saw Angel stick his head into the room. The light from the hallway shining in and landing on the two girls. He looked at them with a very confused expression. Cordelia waved her entire arm at him, her brow furrowed, motioning for him to leave. But he didn't, he just stood there, making Cordelia mad.

"What is she doing here?" he asked and stepped into the room. He kept his voice low, not wanting to wake the exhausted looking girl resting mostly on top of Cordelia. He couldn't even image what had happened to cause them to be in the bed together like that, and he was a little jealous that it wasn't him Buffy was using as a pillow.

"Get out, I'll explain later," Cordelia whispered knowing that Angel's vampire hearing would pick up on it. She did not want to have to deal with a grumpy slayer if she woke up sooner then she wanted. She decided to add: "This isn't Buffy. Well, it is, but the slayer is in control. She'll freak if she sees you. I guess the slayer doesn't love you like the real Buffy does. She talks like someone from the Stone Age. You should see her eyes, they're bright yellow, it's fricking creepy."

Angel shook his head and looked down at the ground. He was very well aware of Buffy's feelings about the redhead, and he knew that it was because of the redheaded witch that Buffy had slept with him, but he hadn't cared at the moment because he was getting what he had always wanted. He left the room, closing the door behind him, and went to call Giles.

When the slayer woke up her first thought was 'mmm, Willow' at the feeling of the warm body she was lying on. But as she became aware of her surroundings she knew that she wasn't in her room, and this wasn't Willow. She opened her eyes and looked up at Cordelia. The young woman was still awake, staring up at the ceiling, her lips moving up no sound coming out. She slowly reached up and with the tips of her fingers touched the full bottom lip and instantly Cordelia stopped moving and she tensed up.

"Why you do that?" the slayer asked and brought her hand back down to the warm stomach it had been resting on. She didn't want to move, she didn't want to leave this bed. The warmth of the body lying under her was just too good for her to give it up. It wasn't like Angel. Angel had been cold and she had hated it. But there was just something about him that the other Buffy had loved, well, to a certain degree because she loved Willow way more.

"I couldn't fall asleep. I was just lipping a song that I can't get out of my head," she answered and then tried to sit up, but the slayer wasn't moving. She knew not to fight and she relaxed, telling herself that she did not enjoy having Buffy wrapped around her like this. Nope, didn't like it one bit. In fact, she would rather be sharing a bed with Wesley then be here with Buffy right now. (Did you get bad mental images too?)

/I cannot believe we fell asleep like this. But she is soft./ the human part said. The slayer half couldn't help but agree.

*Yes very soft. She feel good.*

/Don't you dare do anything that we will regret. Keep you hands in appropriate places, no kissing, no saying anything that could be interpreted as a come on and no-are you listening to me? Hey I'm talking to you! Don't' make me take control again, because I will./

*No you won't.*

/Dammit, you're right, I won't. But that doesn't mean you can just sleep with her. If we still want Willow to date us, which we do, then we can't do anything with Cordelia of all people... and you're not listening anymore. Great, now I'm going to have to spend thousands of dollars on therapy because my slayer half is going to try and sleep with Cordelia Chase./

"Me want food," the slayer said and sat up in the bed. Cordelia got up off of the bed and rubbed the wrinkles out of the clothes. When she saw the blue stuff on the shirt she had to stop herself from yelling at the blonde. She knew that she couldn't yell at her while she was still hurting over Willow. She watched as the slayer crawled off of the bed. And she couldn't help but noticed that the yellow eyes ran over her body and then back up to her face.

"Right well, Angel's here now, if you just want to stay in here, I could go get you some food. Um, what would you like?" she asked and ignored the look that the slayer was giving her. Just because she so did not enjoy the way Buffy's body felt against hers, that didn't mean she was going to become the rebound girl. The slayer told her that she wanted something warm, like soup, so the brunette went downstairs and into the kitchen in search of soup.
