Primal Hiding

Surprises and Conversations

[reviews]

"NNNNOOOOOOOOO!" Willow screamed as she bolted upright in the bed. She could feel the tears running down her face, she could still see the image of Buffy, sitting above her, the stake sticking out of her heart, the blood spraying all over her. She could still hear that whispered goodbye. She felt her whole body start to shake and she covered her face with her hands and started to bawl. She was like that for five minutes before she realized that someone was rubbing her back, and whispering into her ear.

"It's ok, it was just a bad dream. I've got you, you're safe," she heard Buffy whisper over and over again. She leaned into the blonde's chest and cried even harder. She placed her hand over the blonde's heart needing to know that she was ok, needing to feel that there was no wood sticking out of her. She started to cry even harder with relief that her slayer was ok. Buffy was ok, all was right with the world.

It took twenty minutes for her to calm down. She had almost gotten sick a couple of times but was able to get herself under control. She refused to talk about what happened in the dream. She didn't want to talk about, she didn't want to think about. All she wanted to do was have Buffy hold her and go back to sleep, snuggled up in the arms of her Buffy. She didn't know if Buffy was willing to do that, however. It had been the blonde who had said it would be better if they stayed in separate rooms.

'Oh well, I guess things change,' she thought as she watched Buffy crawl under the covers and then wrap her arms around her. Willow snuggled into the embrace very closely. There was no space let between their bodies, but they were both fine with that. She used Buffy's shoulder as a pillow, a leg was tossed over the blonde's thighs, and all through the entire night her hand never left the spot over the blonde's heart.

Buffy woke up first. It took her a few minutes to clear the haze of sleepiness out of her head and when she did she realized that she was wrapped up in a warm body. Not just any warm body but Willow's warm body. How does she know that it's Willow's body? Well, for one thing the redhead is talking in her sleep and Buffy would recognize that voice anywhere. And the other thing, Buffy's body always hums whenever the redhead is near. Buffy has decided to call that her Willow-sense, for lack of a better term.

"No, don't want to go. Want stay here...no mister frog...stay away...leave me alone....Buffy's gonna slay you....no! No, not the gumdrop buttons!" she yelled as she sat up straight in the bed. (I will always put in a good Gingerbread Man quote wherever I can. You know, the Gingerbread Man from Shriek?) Her breathing was hard and labored. She looked around the strange room, taking a few minutes to remember where she was. She looked down and saw a very amused looking blonde smiling up at her. "What?" she panted and then laid back down. She scooted away from the other girl when she realized how close she had been, and that brought a frown to both of their faces.

"Nothing, you're just cute when you talk in your sleep. Now, exactly what happened to the gumdrop buttons?" Buffy asked only to be hit in the side of the head with a pillow. She resisted the urge to start a pillow fight, knowing what that might lead to. They still needed to talk before Buffy even thought of going there. As much as she wanted to take the redhead into her arms and kiss her, they needed to have a long conversation before they get to that stage. There was a knock on the door and Buffy said a 'come in', and an irritated Giles walked in and said that they need to get going.

Willow got out of the bed, and blushed the same color as her hair when she realized that she had been wrapped around the slayer's body and they had both been in nothing but their underwear. Buffy went back to her room and Willow got dressed. Unfortunately they didn't have any of their bathroom accessories, like a toothbrush and toothpaste or even mouthwash, she they would just have to suffer until they get back to Sunnydale. They said goodbye to Angel, and Cordelia made them promise to call every once in a while to check in.

On the very long car ride home the two women sat in the backseat while Giles drove. They were still really tired and they ended up falling asleep. When he looked in the rearview mirror they were leaning against each other. Willow had her hand above Buffy's heart, and Buffy hand her hand...in an inappropriate place that made Giles blush when he saw. He thought about waking them up but decided against it, a tired slayer is a very grumpy slayer.

He still has his headache from those long car rides with Cordelia talking his ears off. He couldn't wait to get home and sleep in his own bed and drink some scotch to sooth is very worn out nerves. He actually started to speed, only ten miles above the speed limit, he wanted to get home so badly. He could almost taste the rich alcohol now, and he could almost feel him comfortable bed underneath him. He made a promise to himself, one that he would break and he knew it, that if Buffy ever went all primal again he would let Xander and Willow take care of it.

"Girls, wake up, we're back," he said as he pulled into the parking lot at Xander's house. They both woke up with groan's of protest and when he looked in the rearview mirror he saw both of them blushing profusely when they realized where Buffy's hand had been only seconds before. They knocked on the front door of the Harris household and where let in by Xander's mom. Buffy knocked once on the door to the basement before just opening the door and walking down there. As soon as she was off of the steps and standing on solid ground Xander enveloped her in a huge hug. She hugged him back and told him that she was ok now, and then she looked over to see a sight that she never in a million lifetimes thought that she would see. Giles had embraced Anya in a very tight hug and he was openly weeping, saying how much he preferred her over the (and I quote) vial creature known as Cordelia Chase.

Xander gave the two college co-eds a ride back to their dorm before dropping Giles off at his place. They walked into their dorm in silence, knowing that they needed to get this conversation over but not sure where to start. They decided that a nice long shower was in order (in separate stalls) and they went off to the bathroom. Thirty minutes later they were back in their room and dressed in sweats, wanting to be as comfortable as possible. They each sat on their own bed, facing each other, but nothing looking directly at the person in front of them. They were trying to come up with something to say, trying to figure out how to fix this situation they were in. Willow spoke first.

"Look, Buffy. I know that I rejected you before. How could we forget? And I just want to say that I'm really, really sorry. You deserve so much better then that. You deserve so much better then me. You can have anyone you want, I don't understand why you're wasting your time on me. I'm not that big a deal, just little mousy Willow. You deserve way-" she was silenced by Buffy's lips on hers. The kiss was gentle, and loving and in Willow's opinion way too short. When the blonde pulled back Willow was staring into hazel eyes that had tears in them. She saw that Buffy was sitting next to her, almost completely in her lap.

"Willow, I'm never going to get any better then you. You're the only one for me, I've always known that. You know how when we're little we create this perfect person inside of our minds and we grow up searching for that person?" she asked and Willow nodded her head. She took a deep breath before she continued. "Well, you're my fairy tale Willow. You're everything I could ever want and so much more. You've been so loyal to me for so long. No one asked you to stay, but you did. Even when it got really bad you were still there for me. Will, I love you." Willow wasn't too sure how to respond to that. She needed some time to think. Buffy's words had been very...sappily romantic and she wasn't sure what she should say. She knew that too much time had passed and the blonde was expecting some sort of reply by the furrowed eyebrows. So, Willow leaned in and placed a soft kiss on lips that she had been waiting for too long to kiss.

"I love you more then you'll ever know," she whispered and she and Buffy kissed again. It started out soft and sweet, but soon they were locked in a fierce battle for dominance. They had been waiting so long for this moment and now that it was here they weren't going to waste any time. When Buffy pulled away from the strawberry tasting mouth she lifted off her shirt and watched as beautiful green eyes drank in the sight before them. She slowly stripped off the rest of her clothes and she smiled when Willow did the same.

They pulled the covers down to the end of the bed and laid down next to each other, lying on their sides so they were face to face. They looked deeply into each other's eyes, finding what they were looking for. They couldn't help but break out in huge cheeky grins when it finally hit them that they were finally going to do this. They started off with slow, sensual kisses that quickly grew into unadulterated need. Buffy gently pushed Willow onto her back and laid on top of her, making sure to rest most of her weight on her elbows.

They both moaned when Buffy's thigh brushed against Willow's throbbing sex. Buffy looked into Willow's eyes, both girls panting. She slowly leaned down and started placing gentle kisses on Willow's neck. As if on their own, Willow's legs spread further and further apart, allowing Buffy full access to her most private part. But Buffy was taking her time, and Willow was starting to get a little frustrated. She pushed her hips up, rubbing her sex against Buffy in a silent plea for the blonde to hurry up.

"Patience my love," Buffy said and kissed Willow's collarbone. She started to slowly work her way down. She wanted to remember everything, every freckle, every scar, every birthmark, every curve, everything Willow. The redhead arched her back upwards and hissed in a breath as if in pain when Buffy started to suck on one of her hardened nipples. Her hips were moving on their own now, pleading for attention. Buffy let go of Willow's breasts and placed a soft kiss on the witch's lips. As the kiss deepened she un-expectantly entered Willow with two fingers. She swallowed the moan in pleasure and the two quickly started a slow rhythm.

"I love you," Willow said for the second time that night. She winced in pleasure when Buffy's thumb found her throbbing needy clit and started a circular motion. That's all that was needed to push her over the edge and Buffy was right there waiting to swallow every moan, every scream, every pant. It was like she was trying to breath in Willow, take everything the redhead had to offer. 'God she's so beautiful,' Buffy thought and placed a small kiss on Willow's neck. She slowly took the warm, now slightly salty, flesh into her mouth and left a little mark. As she did this her slayer side and her human side thought the same thing: /*My Willow*/.

When Willow came down from her high she was wrapped up in the arms of her love. She knew that it didn't get any better then this. She wished she could freeze time in this exact moment. She wanted to stay like this forever, wrapped up in the emotions coursing through her body, stay wrapped up in the secure safe feeling that she gets whenever she's around Buffy. She started to kiss the blonde, desperately, as if her very life depended on it. She softly dragged her fingernails on the inside of Buffy's thigh, attaining a loud moan for her efforts. She entered Buffy and quickly started up a fast and hard rhythm. Buffy met her for every thrust and if they had been paying any attention they would have heard the headboard smacking against the wall loud enough to wake their neighbors. But neither of them cared.

When Buffy finally came Willow thought she was going to cry the blonde looked so beautiful. She knew right then that she was going to spend the rest of her life trying to make the blonde, her blonde, happy and secure. All they needed was each other, and Willow was going to make sure that she spent the rest of her days giving herself to the slayer. There would never be any expectations of any kind, just the thought of giving herself away, allowing herself to be completely taken over made Willow know that this was going to work. She would give herself to her slayer and her slayer would take her, and love her and make her happy.

"I love you so much," Buffy said and nuzzled Willow's neck, purring loudly. Willow reached down and pulled the covers over them. They wrapped themselves in each other's arms and got comfortable. They laid there in comfortable silence, reflecting on the last couple of days. Either could really believe that this was real. In the back of their minds they thought that it was all just a weird dream and soon they would wake up and none of this would have happened. But when they realized that this was real, and there would be no waking up from this the smiled really wide. Willow rested her head on Buffy's shoulder and gave the skin beneath her mouth a little kiss.

"I love you," she whispered low enough that if it weren't for slayer hearing then the blonde wouldn't have heard it at all. They slowly drifted off to sleep in each other's arms. After everything that's happened they would need at least a week to recover. Most of it lost sleep because of the whole 'primal Buffy' thing but the rest of it just getting used to these new feelings that they invoked in each other. Before unconscious completely took them over they were both thinking the exact same thing: I can't believe how lucky I am.

And that's all folks! (I like Porky Pig too)
