Faith, and I broke into the clearing, and were immediately jumped on by three vamps.
Faith staked one as it ran at her, and kicked another in the back sending him flying into a tree.
One of the vamps flew at me which I ducked, and the vamp sailed into a tree.
Faith ran over, and staked both of the vamps quickly. I looked around to see if I could find Buffy anywhere. From my naked eyes I couldn't see her so I look at the map I have in my hand.
It shows that she is back in the thickness of the trees. I motion to Faith, and she starts to follow me.
We move into the trees slowly looking around for her. We look for about five minutes before I look at the map, and see that we passed her. I tell Faith this, and she frowned.
"Really I didn't think I missed anything?"
I frown as well. We look back, and finally see that one of the trees was hollowed out.
We both walk to it, and look down in the little hole to see Buffy curled up into herself, and whining like a hurt dog.
I frown not having seen her every act so vulnerable. I reach in with one hand, and call out to her, "Buffy. Buffy we're here to help you."
All of a sudden her head snaps out at me in her vampire guise, and bit the tip of my finger drawing a small amount of blood. Faith pulled me back automatically, and punched Buffy on the nose.
Buffy growled, and jumped out at Faith knocking her to the ground. Buffy started to at sniff her neck.
Faith used the opportunity to kick Buffy off of her. While Buffy's guard was down Faith unleashed a huge roundhouse kick to her head.
Buffy fell down to the ground, and jumped back up for some reason not bringing up a defensive position.
Faith went to punch her again, but I reached out, and grabbed her wrist. Luckily she felt that it was me so she didn't attack me.
Buffy started to shake her head when Faith stayed in a fighting position, "Family," she growled out. Faith was confused I could easily tell.
I nudge Faith with my elbow, "Her demon recognized us as family, and she won't attack us."
I walk up to her slowly. She starts to sniff the air, and her face goes back to her human disguise. She threw her arms around me, and buried her face in my neck.
Her tongue came out, and licked my neck. Her head pulled up, and she said one word, "Mate," before she kissed me.
The kiss seemed to last forever before I had to pull away for air. Faith clucked her tongue behind me, "Wow Red. Having fun there?"
I blush slightly. I feel Buffy in my arms not moving at all, "Oh god. She fell asleep," I say to Faith who just grins at me.
"Damn Red. If I knew you were that comfy I would use you for a pillow every night," Faith says taunting me.
I grin at her while blushing still, "Just shut up, and help me get her back to Giles'."
Faith smirks at me, and goes to pull Buffy out of my arms. When her hand touches Buffy's head I could easily hear Buffy growl at Faith warning her off.
Faith backed off with her hands held in front of her, "Guess you have to hold her Red."
I groan, but pull her up into my arms. She tucks her head again into my shoulder. It didn't help my concentration of using all my energy that her tongue kept on flicking out, and licking my neck.
A/N: Hope you like. This is the first day since I got back from spring break vacation with my girlfriend in Cancun. I will start to get more udates out in a bit.
