Chapter 1

Buffy threw on her jacket waving goodbye to her boss Carlos. She worked at the Bronze behind the counter. All in all it was a pretty good job.

The only downside was when some guy drunk out of his mind came into the Bronze, and started hitting on her, or something like today.

/This guy came into the Bronze. He had platinum blond hair swept back, and had a long leather duster on. He had came up to her, and demanded a beer.

She asked for his I.D. like she was supposed to. He gave a sneer, and had grabbed her arm pulling close to him over the counter, "Why don't you just give me the beer okay," he whispered into her ear. His tongue flicked out, and licked her ear, "Umm... You taste good," he said pushing her back.

Buffy stumbled a little bit, but gave in, and handed the man a beer from under the counter.

He had went away to the second level of the Bronze, and she hadn't seen him since./

She stepped out of the Bronze, and closed the door behind her giving a nod to the bouncer which he returned.

She stepped onto the sidewalk, and started to walk down the deserted street.

She was walking for five minutes, and was only a couple blocks away from her house when a crash came from the alleyway behind her making her jump in the air.

Buffy looked back quickly a small sliver of fear running through her heart. Sunnydale had a high crime rate. Seems like all the crazies were drawn to this town. Maybe, because of the lack luster police force Sunnydale had.

The only cop who anybody knew that was half good was Willow Rosenberg. She had only been in the SDPD for about 2 years, and she was already one of the most decorated cops in the SDPD.

Buffy personally had never met her, but she sounded like a nice person to her. She had seen her picture in the newspaper once, and had thought to herself that she was pretty cute.

Buffy sped up looking behind her every few seconds to make sure no one was following her, or anything like that.

She sighed when she saw her house when she turned the last corner.

When she got to the yard of her house she jogged to the door. She thrust her hand in her pocket looking for her keys.

When she didn't find them there she checked all her other pockets.

All of a sudden a strong hand gripped her hip, and pulled her tight to a body behind her. A hand came in front of her jangling her keys in front of her eyes, "Looking for these luv?" the voice from the Bronze said to her menacingly.

Buffy groaned at his voice. He pushed her forward so his body was pinning hers to the door. He switched the keys to the other hand, and pushed it into the keyhole unlocking the door.

He pulled her back wrenching one of her arms behind her back so that he could open the door, and keep her from running. When the door was open he pushed her in. She slipped on a carpet right behind the door, and fell to the ground hard.

He slipped in behind her closing, and locking the door. He went to a window opened it, and threw the keys out the window. Slamming the window back down he pulled a chair out from under the table, and jammed it under the main door's doorknob.

Buffy slowly made her way to her feet. When the man's back was turned to her as he jammed the chair to the doorknob she ran for it upstairs.

"HEY!" he yelled following her up the stairs.

Buffy opened the door to her room, and locked it quickly. She ran over to the phone, and quickly dialed 911. The man kicked the door open. He saw her at the phone, and ran over pulling the cord out of the wall.

Buffy dropped the phone. She had only been able to get one ring on the phone. The man threw the phone into the wall breaking it open.

He looked at her as she backed up into the corner of the room. Her eyes were filled with fear, "Don't worry luv. I got you," he said making his way over to her, "I won't let anything hurt you," he said. He pulled the lamp off the side table, and knocked it over her head, "Except for me of course."
