chapter 4

[reviews]

That night as Joyce finished locking up the house she was
unaware of the three young women standing outside. Muriel, Emily and
Juanita, the Slayers Buffy had seen in the photo hours earlier, were huddled in
the dark as Joyce went up and peeked in on Dawn. She wasn't in her room which
meant that she had slipped into Buffy's room. Dawn preferred the expanse of
Buffy's king sized bed to that of her own which was tiny since she had slept in
it since childhood.

Joyce had promised Dawn that as soon as the finances became available she
would buy Dawn a larger bed. Whenever Buffy was patrolling late she would often
come home to find Dawn curled up in her bed. Either Buffy would crawl in beside
her or she would go and sleep in Dawn's bed herself. That was usually the last
option.

Joyce went back downstairs to make a pot of coffee ready to plug in in the
morning.

"Okay. We all know what we are to do." Muriel said. "I'll get us in
through the French doors. They're a breeze to pick."

"I'll take care of the mother. Put her out of commission. She can
throw the whole thing into confusion." Juanita said.

"And," Emily added, "you and I, Muriel, will grab Buffy. Dorie
said she's on the second floor, at the far end of the hall. She should be asleep
so it shouldn't be hard to take her."

Muriel had doubts. "She's a Slayer. Her instincts will be there
sleeping or not. Are you sure she's in there? Won't she be out on patrol? She's
a Slayer after all"

"If she was Dorie would have let us know. She says she watched
the house and Buffy didn't leave at her usual time. She's in there."

"By the way, where is Dorie?"Muriel asked.

"Honing her Slayer skills. She actually enjoys being a Slayer. It's
in her core." Emily replied.

"Does anyone know what she looks like? This Buffy." Juanita asked.

"Dorie's Watcher does. And so does Dorie" Emily said. "Let's get
this over with guys. Maybe there will be some time for us to do a little Slayer
work after. It's been a few weeks and I'm getting rusty."

At the same time the trio of Slayers were jimmying the French door, and
Joyce was readying the coffee Buffy had broken off patrolling her heart not
being in it. On the way home Buffy found herself at the front of the
Rosenberg's. On the front steps sitting quietly was Willow. "Hi Buff."

Buffy strolled up to Willow and sat down on the steps beside her. Willow
was still in her clothes. "Up kinda late huh Willow?"

"Having trouble sleeping."

Buffy fingered the hem of Willow's tan scooter. "A night gown might put you
in a better mood to sleep."

"I suppose you're right. I just needed time to think Buffy."

"About?"

Willow took Buffy's hand in hers and brought it up to her lips. "I love you
so much Buffy. You're my whole world.'

"Well. What brought that on? I love you very much too.  Is their
something in the stars tonight for declaring our undying love to each
other?'

Willow shook her head and smiled weakly. "I want to tell you that. And it's
fate that you passed by tonight so I thought I'd take advantage of that
fate."

Willow bent toward Buffy and kissed her tenderly on the mouth. "I need your
forgiveness."

And I need yours', Buffy thought. "Tell you what," Buffy said. "If you'll
forgive me I'll forgive you. That crap I told you about Dusty. It was Giles that
gave me the info. Now he says it's all a mistake. Dusty is no more dangerous
than the girl next door."

Willow pressed Buffy's hand to her chest wanting to feel the warmth of
Buffy's touch. "So I got a sore jaw for nothing?"

"Apparently."

"I got laid afterward. Was that for nothing too?"

"You know better." Buffy giggled suddenly unburdened by how easily Willow
brushed off what had happened the last few days.

Willow slid down a step and forced herself between Buffy's legs so she
could lean back into Buffy's arms as they curled around her. She felt Buffy kiss
her on the back of the neck. "Now what do you need forgiveness for?"

"This isn't going to be easy for me."

"Spit it out," Buffy ordered softly.

Willow took a deep breath and let it out. "Okay. Here goes. This evening I
let myself be maneuvered into being alone with Dusty despite the promise I made
to you.""That promise was forced on you because of flawed information. I
had no right to ask that of you." Buffy said.

Willow sank back even further into Buffy's arms. "There's more. I let Dusty
kiss me. I'm ashamed of it now but I did let it happen."

Willow felt Buffy stiffen. There was silence and Willow felt a tear form in
the corner of her eye. It seemed like time froze but finally after that eternity
Willow felt Buffy's breath on the back of her neck. "Was she a good
kisser?"

"Somewhat," Willow replied. What a lame answer she thought. With that Buffy
took a handful of Willow's red hair and tugged Willow's head back. Buffy's mouth
was on Willow's and it was a kiss that curled Willow's toes. At the same time
Buffy's hand slid up under Willow's tank top and her palm covered the cup of
Willow's breast over her bra. Willow could feel the warmth of Buffy's hand
through her bra and her nipple reached out against the fabric.

Without breaking either the kiss or the touch of Buffy's hand Willow slid
so she was across Buffy's body. As Buffy's tongue danced with Willow's  the
Wiccan pulled Buffy's top up and her hands disappeared beneath it. Buffy's
breasts were in her bra but Willow's hand went around the back and unhooked it.
When her hand came back the bra fell loose and now it was a bare breast and a
hardened nipple that Willow was feeling.

Buffy's right hand was under Willow's skirt and it glided up the back of
Willow's thigh to come to a rest on the back of her cotton panties. Buffy pulled
Willow into her and Willow came freely. "Oh Buff I love you. I love you. I love
you."

"Did Dusty kiss you like that?"

"Oh no. Only Buffy Summers kisses me like that," Willow was now gasping as
Buffy's hand moved around to the front and Buffy could now feel the warmth
and wetness  beneath it.

The ringing of Buffy's cell phone sent the moment crashing. Damn Willow
thought silently.

"Damn," Buffy cursed aloud as she pulled the phone from the pouch on her
hip.

Joyce's trembling voice was on the other end. "Honey. You'd better come
home. They've taken Dawn."
