chapter 10

[reviews]

The two Slayers led Buffy to the back of the house. There was a set of winding stairs that led down to the basement. They creaked as the trio went down where Buffy found herself in a short hallway with a door on either side. Dorie removed a key from her pocket and unlocked the door on the right.

"Your sister's in here," she said. "You can have a visit with her before we let her go."

"Will Dusty keep her word and free Dawn and Willow?" Buffy asked concerned that Dusty was just going to keep them as hostages despite what she had said.

Dorie rolled her eyes as she swung the door open. "Not to worry. She has no use for them now that she has you. And she's always been a woman of her word."

"So far," Buffy added.

"So far," Dorie replied without expression.

When Buffy entered Dawn was cowering in the farthest corner from the door anxious and frightened. When she saw Buffy her face lit up. "Oh God!! Buffy. Not you too."

Dawn rushed into the arms of her older sister and the two clung to each desperately. Buffy could feel Dawn's trembling body and she whispered soothingly. "Everything is fine girl. I'm getting you out of here. Have they hurt you?"

Buffy held Dawn away from her examining her closely. Dawn had a purple bruise on the rim of her jaw. Buffy winced when she saw it. The younger sister raised her finger tips to the area Buffy was observing. "I'm okay Buff. When they grabbed me they knocked me out."

"You would have been proud of her," Dorie said from where she stood by the open door. "The girls said she put up a hell of a fight."

Buffy ignored the compliment. All she wanted was to get Dawn and Willow out of this place. "They're going to free you Dawn. You'll be sedated so you won't remember leaving here but Dusty assured me no harm will come to you."

Buffy drew Dawn into her arms again. "I want you to tell Mom I'm all right. That they'll let me go in a few days. She's not to worry. And.....and," Buffy's voice broke but she quickly regained her composure. "Tell her I love her very much."

Dawn started to sob and clung even harder to Buffy.

"Tell her that. Okay?"

Dawn nodded but her trembling worried Buffy. Buffy looked back at Dorie. "Can she go now?"

"I think so." Dorie and the second Slayer approached and took Dawn by the arms. "Come on. You won't be hurt. Let's get Willow. She's in the next room."

Willow was sitting on a small cot in the second room. She jumped to her feet when she saw them enter. Buffy and the Wiccan were into each others' arms in a flash of a second. Willow's mouth found Buffy's and their world came to a halt as the kiss deepened. It was a long time before Willow would let Buffy break off the kiss. When they did Willow gasped. "I love you Buffy Summers. I love you with all my heart and soul."

Buffy ran her fingers through Willow's hair her eyes drinking in the beauty of her lover. "I love you to my dear, dear Willow."

Again they kissed. When they broke it off again Willow seemed to at first notice that there were others in the room. She looked at Dawn and then at the two Slayers standing beside her. She then looked at Buffy with a puzzled expression on her face. "Honey? What's going on? Why are you here?"

"They have promised to free both you and Dawn, Willow. I have to stay with them for a few days. Then they will let me go too."

Willow stepped back in horror. "I'm not going any where without you Buffy. I will never leave you again. I don't trust these people for a moment. And I would rather die than leave you." Willow's eyes glowed in anger. "With them!!"

Buffy tried to sooth Willow. "Sweetheart," she begged. "No. No. No. I'll be okay. We have no choice but to trust them. Please understand it's the best for all of us." Buffy again kissed Willow her whole soul filling the kiss. Willow melted against her as she had so many times before. Buffy felt the wetness of Willow's tears and this time she let Willow determine when the kiss would end. It was a long time before she did.

"Buffy. The only way they can get me to go is to kill me. I mean that."

"Oh please. The dramatics." It was Dorie who spoke. She signed and turned to the other Slayer. "Take this one," meaning Dawn, "upstairs. I'll handle Miss Bernhardt."

Dawn, with one last look, was pulled firmly out of the room.

Buffy again tried to reason with Willow but Willow remained completely defiant. "I won't go Buffy. NEVER!!"

Dorie sensed that she was going to have to use physical force if she was to remove Willow from Buffy's side. Dorie also thought that that would be a dumb thing to do. As far as she was concerned the redhead could stay as long as she liked. Plus, she wasn't about to antagonized the blond Slayer Willow was clinging to. Buffy's reputation made Dorie cautious so she stayed at a safe distance. Dusty could decide the issue. Or Buffy could.

"What do you think Buffy? Does she go or stay?"

Buffy knew that trying to reason with Willow was out of the question. Once Willow took a position she was a stubborn girl. Buffy also knew the window of opportunity for Willow's release, which was Buffy's main concern, was closing. How long Dusty would keep it open was something Buffy didn't know. As perilous as it was Buffy would like nothing better than to spend the next few days with Willow at her side. Sadly, that couldn't be the case.

Buffy turned to Dorie. "Can we have some time alone?"

Dorie shrugged. "Sure. But I'll be right outside so don't try anything cute."

After Dorie left they heard the door lock behind her. Buffy pulled Willow over to the cot and sat her down. "I don't know if this is the proper moment but.............." Buffy said sitting down beside Willow and drawing her into her arms. Her mouth found Willow's who snuggled close letting her body press against Buffy's.

"It's always time when it comes to you." Willow said. "Besides.......we're not going any where for a few days." Willow pulled Buffy's blouse from her waist and her hand went underneath. As their lips worked against the others, tongues flicking and brushing tenderly, Willow's hand cupped Buffy's left breast after sliding inside the bra. Buffy felt her passion rise at the touch.

"I want you Buffy," Willow moaned. "I want to kiss every inch of your body, Slayer. And I mean every inch."

Buffy leaned back and looked deeply into Willow's eyes. She knew she had to act......and act now before her desire ruled her totally. She smiled, and that itself was painful but not as painful as what she did next. "Kiss me Willow. Hard."

Willow tilted her head, her lips moistened by her tongue, her mouth parted and raised to receive the mouth of her lover. She was also in perfect position for Buffy's fist which connected with the point of Willow's upturned chin. Soundlessly Willow slumped against Buffy limp and unmoving. Buffy kissed Willow's slack mouth. "I'm sorry sweetheart. But it's best."

Buffy laid Willow genteelly on the cot and looked down at her. "DORIE!!!."

Buffy heard the door being unlocked. Dorie came over to where Buffy sat. "Hmmmm. Nice work. I was wondering how you will handle it."
