The Most Beautiful Girl in the World

chapter 3

[reviews]

What was for Willow a terrible, and embarrassing, start of an afternoon, soon, thanks to Buffy, turned into one of the most memorial days of her life. No sooner were they in the door when Buffy drew her into her arms. It's true that Buffy found Willow such a passionate love maker that it still surprised her what the redhair could unleash. Willow's normally shy demeanor disappeared and a sexy, bold partner came forth.

Buffy was taken to levels she never imagined to be inside her until Willow, with her lips, her hands, her words, even her breathing, carried her to. They experienced all the tenderness and affection, as well as the wild, ravishing love making that it led to. That afternoon may have well been the very best of them all.

It was hours before they lay spent across Willow's bed simply cuddled in each others arms. Willow never tired of kissing and Buffy never tired of being kissed by her. But finally Buffy had to all but push Willow away. Playfully of course. "My God Will. You're going to kill me one of these days."

"Kill you? I hope not although I want to exhaust you to within an inch of your life." Willow said and then allowed Buffy to roll from her arms and sit up on the bed beside her.

"That," Buffy said, "was fantastic you wicked witch. Your power over me is now complete. I will do your bidding. Command me. Ask me. Order me."

Willow smiled not the least bit convinced that Buffy would ever allow herself to become subservient to anyone. And Willow wouldn't want herself to be in a position to be the dominate partner in their relationship. She would settle for the love and companionship they had between them now. They were equals on just about every level. Except for the Slayer thing of course. Willow would leave that in Buffy's arena while she would cast her lot with the 'spelly stuff' as Buffy referred to it.

They lay quietly for a while and for a moment Buffy thought Willow had drifted off. She looked so peaceful Buffy thought as she gazed down at the Wiccan. She wondered if it would ever end. If they would be together years from now. Oh how she hoped that they would be old and gray and still in love as deeply as they were now.

"Buff?" Willow asked without opening her eyes.

"Yes."

"Do you think I'm loopy? That I suffer illusions?"

"Not at all. You're the most wonderful girl on the face of this earth. And I love you with all of my heart."

"And soul?" Willow inquired with a grin.

"Well, let's not go overboard. I need a piece of me for myself." Buffy quipped.

"Selfish Buffy," Willow said reaching out to Buffy and cupping her breast with the palm of her hand. "Come here wench. I have plans for you."

The next few days were a delicious time for Willow. Not only was she totally in love but the girl of her dreams was totally in love with her. What could be better in life? The white haired girl, the vision of her, was no longer at the forefront of Willow's mind. She had been dreaming. It hadn't happened. It was probably a pre-faint illusion, Willow decided.

She sat in the school cafeteria where she and Buffy spent their lunch period together. It was the only time period they shared since none of their classes coincided. It was the hi-light of Willow's day to just sit, be with Buffy before afternoon classes.

At the moment as Willow sat doodling while waiting for her girlfriend, Buffy was hurrying down the hall toward the cafeteria when her History teacher, Ellen Burnson, spotted her and stopped her in mid-step.

"Buffy. I'm glad I ran into you. You didn't hand in your test yesterday. I know you were in class but when I graded I saw you hadn't turned in a paper." Buffy was one of Ellen's favorite students and she had been thinking that it had been an oversight on Buffy's part.

"But I did hand in the test," Buffy said. She knew the test was worth half her grade and to miss it meant she had no chance of passing the course. "I put it right on the pile. On top of Chester's. I remember because he was standing in front of me."

Ms. Burnson could only shake her head. "But it's not there and I have to hand in grades today."

"But.......that can't.......

The History teacher halted Buffy's protest by holding up a finger. "I'm afraid I need you to retake the test. And I'm afraid you'll have to do it right away."

"I'm supposed to meet Willow in the cafe. Can I take it after school?"

"No. You'll have to take it right now. I have a class about to start. There's an empty room next to my class and I'll let you make up the test there. It's your lunch period now isn't it?"

Buffy looked at the door of the cafeteria which was at the far end of the hall and sighed sadly. Then she nodded and let herself be led down the corridor and up the stairs. She knew she had turned in her test and now she had to miss her lunch, and miss seeing Willow, because Ms. Burnson had lost her test.

The exam was rather lengthy and even though Buffy already knew the questions that were on it it still took the whole period to complete. When she had finished she rose from her desk and went to the door of Ms. Burnson's class which was just emptying out. The teacher was at her desk when Buffy entered.

Buffy walked up and with a smile handed Ms. Burnson the paper. The History teacher looked at it questionably. "What's this, Buffy?"

Buffy was taken aback. "The History test I just made up."

"But whatever for? You took the test yesterday. Did quite well on it as a matter of fact. You're a bright young girl Buffy dear."

What in heaven's name Buffy thought. "Then why did I take it again?"

Ms. Burnson held out her hands in a gesture of appeal. "I think you have to tell me. And where did you get the test by the way?"

Buffy couldn't believe her ears. And the Slayer realized that to tell the teacher that she herself had handed Buffy the test was fruitless. Ms. Burnson seemed to have no recollection of that.

The moment Buffy first encountered her History teacher Willow had been rummaging through her purse and wasn't paying attention to her surroundings when a voice brought her around.

"Is anyone sitting here? Can I join you?"

When Willow looked up it was a girl holding her lunch tray in front of her. She had seen the girl once before. The difference, this time, was she was now fully clothed.
