"You did that on purpose." Buffy glared a dagger through Angela as she spoke. The dark haired sophomore looked back at Buffy blankly as if she wasn't comprehending what Buffy said.

"You kicked the door stop out." Buffy went on. "It was impossible to have stumbled and accidentally..........."

Angela shook her head as if clearing cob webs from her mind. She then seemed to notice, for the first time, where she was. Her hand flew to her mouth. "Oh no!! The door is closed. We're locked in. What are we going to do now?"

Angela's actions confused Buffy. Of course they were locked in. And she was first realizing it? There had been a trance like quality about Angela after they first entered the Equipment Room. Had it been there before? Buffy began to think it had and she just hadn't been aware of it. If it had been there it no longer was at the moment and Angela was, it seemed, as disturbed as Buffy about the situation.

For different reasons.

Angela was upset that they were now about to spend the next few hours in the solitude of the Equipment Room. Buffy was upset about that too, naturally, but she was also disturbed that she would once again miss Willow. Two puzzling incidences in one day were too much to take.

Buffy was cold on top of it all. It was chilly in the room and her bra didn't offer that much warmth. The coolness of the concrete floor ceiling and walls made her shiver. What a miserable situation, Buffy thought.

Buffy found a rubber mat in the corner behind a rack of volleyballs, dragged it out and sat down on it. Angela watched her almost afraid to sit down and invite more of Buffy's anger which she honestly didn't understand. Why was Buffy so angry? As hard as she tried, Angela couldn't remember what had happened. All she remembered was .........what? The previous hour was a blank to her. How strange.

Buffy patted the mat. "Sit down Angela. Might as well be comfortable. We're stuck here for a few hours."

Gratefully, Angela accepted Buffy's invitation.

Buffy over came her anger and, even though she was confused by Angela's reactions, she seemed to sense that Angela believed she hadn't locked them in intentionally. Buffy knew better. The stumble was so controlled. Faked. It was obvious that the girl had kicked out the stop with a well aimed boot.

"You look so gloomy, Willow." Sasha said as she walked beside the red head. "You haven't said a word for a five minutes."

"I'm sorry. Guess I've been rude. I'm a little upset that Buffy stood me up for the second time today."

"You really like her, don't you?"

Willow didn't know how to answer that. She certainly couldn't blurt out that she more than liked Buffy. She couldn't tell Sasha the truth which was that she was head over heels in love with Buffy. Willow lowered her head. "Yeah. I do like her a lot." But she didn't elaborate.

Then Willow quickly added. "As a friend of course."

A thin smile crossed Sasha's mouth. "Why of course. I knew what you meant."

A car passed full of boys who honked and wolf whistled which seemed to annoy Sasha. "Jerks," she spat.

"Aren't you used to a lot of that?" Willow asked stopping in the middle of the sidewalk.

"Yeah. I suppose so. I know I'm pretty but sometimes it's a pain. I lose out on sincere relationships because of it it seems. Especially with the boys who, ya know, are after just one thing anyway."

"You're more than pretty, Sasha. You're outright stunning." Willow admitted to herself that it was hard, impossible, not to acknowledge that. It was a fact. Sasha was .............awesomely attractive. The boys were not the only ones who recognized that.

Sasha was not above being flattered. "Thanks for saying that, Willow. I,", want you know that means a lot to me. It does. But I'm not the only good looking girl standing here."

"Huh?"

Sasha took a short step forward closing the distance between her and Willow. "You're a very attractive girl in your own right. You have such beautiful eyes. And hair, oh my gosh, it so hot." Sasha reached out a stroked Willow's head. "And you're cute figure is too die for."

Willow couldn't help but blush. Willow's self esteem always teetered on the low side. That Buffy loved her had raised it up hugely. Now, here was the most beautiful girl she had ever seen complimenting her.

Sasha watched Willow carefully for her reaction. It was what she had hoped for. "Hey. Walk me home. It's just down the way a bit. You can help me make dinner for myself and my Grandma. In fact I'd like you to stay.......for dinner. I usually have to eat alone since Grandma is so old and feeble she normally falls asleep after a few bites".

Willow turned and looked back the way they had come, from Sunnydale High, hoping to see Buffy running up to them as desperate to see Willow as Willow was to see her.. No luck.

She turned back to Sasha. "Sure. I'll walk you home. I don't know about staying for dinner............"

Sasha touched Willow's elbow softly. "Let's see how it plays out. Okay?"

"Okay."

Buffy and Angela were still sitting gloomily on the mat three hours later when they heard the sound of a key in the door.

Finally, Buffy thought, and started to get up. It happened so very fast that she later wondered why she didn't prevent it from happening at all. But she was so taken by surprised that it left her frozen. As the door started to swing open Angela's hand grabbed the Slayer's shoulder pulling her over onto her back on the mat. Buffy started to protest but Angela's mouth found her's and she kissed Buffy with all her might as her hand slid into the cup of Buffy's bra.

"Whoa!!" Buffy heard a voice from across the room. The kiss was meaningless to her except for the shock of it. Angela?

Where did this come from?

Then as she regained her senses, she heard the voice shout. "GOT IT."

Buffy pushed herself to a sitting position but that didn't discourage Angela whose lips sank against Buffy's neck and nibbled at the soft flesh it found. Buffy tried to yank free but all she seems to do was to uncover Angela's hand still fondling her breast as her bra fell to one side.

Dumbly, Buffy saw who had opened the door. It was Macy Reed, the starting guard on the varsity. The key was still in the door, her foot was holding the door open as she stood bewildered by the sight before her.

Time froze.

And if it could be worse, Macy was soon joined by two other girls from the team. One. Michelle Larson, a close friend of Cordelia's, could not believe her eyes.

"They're going to love this around the school."

Buffy, unfrozen, pushed Angela away from her.

What Buffy noticed immediately was the expression on Angela's face. There was again that blank, almost unseeing, far away gaze.
