Mom and I hurried home after picking up donuts. I want Willow to wake cuddling Baby Gordo and see the look on her face when she sees it. I quietly close my car door as does Mom. I hurry up the steps and into the house. I smile at Dawn and Faith watching cartoons and open my senses. Thankfully, Willow is still asleep. I kick off my shoes as I take the stairs by threes. I quietly pushed open my door and had to stop myself from laughing at Willow sprawled out on the bed.
I walk over and place Baby Gordo right where Willow will see it when she opens her eyes. I then sat in the chair beside the bed to await her surprise. I just hope she gets the meaning of Baby Gordo. I mean she already knows Betty and Veronica Gordo, and now they will have a baby.
I notice that she is starting to stir, but she has a smile on her face. My only guess is that she is having one of her non-frog dreams. She looks so peaceful and beautiful, and I know when she starts to show that I'm going to have be careful with how much I tease.
I saw her padding the bed beside her, so I hopped out of the chair and took hold of her hand. The smile she had got bigger when she took hold of my hand. Her eyes popped open and was about to give me a kiss when she saw it.
The best way to describe the noise she made is that it was sort of a high pitched sqeal that was on the loud side. Since my shoes were already off, I climbed back into bed with Willow as she gave Baby Gordo a kiss before giving me one. When the door whipped open, Faith, Dawn, and Tara found Willow curled into my side with Baby Gordo sitting on my stomach.
"What the..." Faith started to say before Tara covered her mouth.
Willow held up her present as Dawn came over for a closer look. Tara gave me a wink before shutting the door and taking Faith with her. Willow and I scooted over so Dawn could climb in. She laid her head on the side of Willow's stomach as I gave Willow a kiss on her temple while she ran her fingers through Dawnie's hair.
I must have dozed off because when I woke up, I was alone. I looked over on the bookcase and saw that Baby Gordo was between Betty and Veronica. I didn't hear any noises, and when I opened up my senses, I found out I was alone in the house which begs the question. Where did my family hijack my girlfriend to.
After drinking a water, I headed outside to do some tae chi. There is no reason to ignore my exercises while I'm taking a slaying break. While I was going through my routine, I could feel all the stress I had just go away when I sensed someone in the backyard as I was finishing up. They didn't feel threatening, so I just continued. When I finally opened my eyes, I saw it was Giles, but he looked worrisome.
"Buffy, I'm concerned about your relationship with Willow. Now I know Willow's strength as a witch is growing with the help of Tara, but for you to be involved with her when she is going to have a baby is reckless. Any number of dark forces could use it against you," Giles said as I fought the urge to cry turning away.
"I think you should leave G before I throw your ass out. The tyke is not going to be in any danger as long as Tara and I are around. I know I don't speak for everyone here, but I think it is best if you don't come around until you apologize to B first," Faith threatened as Willow and Tara came over.
