The past couple weeks have been great. Willow and I finally went to the doctor for her checkup and found out that the next few months are where everything starts to change. Tara has finally stopped giving me dirty looks and hitting me, but I think Faith helped with my reprieve from her attitude. College has been really good too, even Psych class. Riley isn't the TA anymore, and Professor Walsh still gives me looks, but everything has been cool which means it is about time for it to blow up.
I was heading for my last class when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder, and when I turned around, I didn't get a chance to dodge the punch heading for my face. It landed on my cheek, and I rolled with the momentum and got back up to find Riley standing there with his fists clenched.
"That one was free Riley, and as much as I want to continue this right now, I have a class, but if you are still feeling froggy afterwards, meet me in the gym, and I'll finish this," I said walking past him but kept my senses aware in case of another cheap shot.
Before I walked into class, I checked my cheek out in my compact mirror for bruising so Tara didn't pull her mothering act in class. Thankfully, it was just a little puffy, so I walked inside and gave Tara and the professor a smile before heading for my seat. During class, I could some of the other students talking about my run-in with Riley, and when I looked up at Tara, she must have heard them because she was heading my direction.
"Buffy, is what I'm hearing true?" Tara asked with the look that Mom gives me when she wants the truth.
"Yeah, it is. I told him if he wanted to continue it for him to meet me in the gym after class, and before you start, you didn't hear what he said when I was in that cage. I'm going to shut this boy up, so I won't have to deal with him anymore. Although, I would like you to take Willow home, and yes you can tell her, but only after you get home," I explained as Tara knew better than to try to argue with me.
After class, I texted Faith to meet me at the gym. That way if the dumbass decides to bring friends, Faith and I can both have fun. I made it to the gym, and Faith was waiting outside. I walked in to find just Riley, so I had Faith watch the door to keep out possible surprises. Riley looked smug as I walked up to him and punched him in the face. I held back on the strength for obvious reasons, and when he got up, he charged me.
I avoided him and used his momentum to throw him to the ground. He picked himself back up looking really pissed and ran at me again, but this time, I used his speed to pick him up and throw him through the air across the room. When he landed, he stayed on the ground as I walked over cautiously. As I reached him, he tried to punch the side of my knee, but I caught his arm and twisted until I heard his shoulder pop out of it's socket making him scream, as I bent down to his face.
"I'm only going to say this once. I suggest you transfer back to Iowa because if you stay and decide to keep causing problems for me and mine, this is going to be tame for what I plan to do if you continue. Do you understand?" I asked as he just nodded holding his arm as I walked out.
~I couldn't have Buffy do too much damage seeing as though she is the slayer, so I hope the ass kicking was okay.~ z.
