Something Pink

while you were sleeping

[reviews]

The next time I woke up, I found myself in bed alone, and there were clothes thrown everywhere. I looked over at the clock and saw that it was a little after one, so I got dressed and headed downstairs. I found the house empty, but there was a note on the fridge.

B,

Your mom took the gang to the mall because Willow had a fit when she woke up and her clothes were too tight. Tara and I are taking D and Janice to the movies while the moms bond. By the way, I think you are in trouble because you slept through her tirade, so I would stick around if I were you, and I'd hate to be you.

Faith

p.s. Buffy, this is Tara, just be there for her.

I guess breakfast was delaying the inevitable. I opened the fridge to make myself some lunch before going outside to exercise. I made a couple sandwiches before heading outside to eat. I was taking a drink of my iced tea when I heard a car pull into the driveway. I guess my yelling is about to start when I had just finished the last bite of my sandwich. I didn't hear anybody come inside, but when I saw Xander and Anya come through the side gate, I knew why.

"Hey Buffster, I have some news that you might not want to hear," Xander said nervously.

"Oz is back, and Willow is with him," Anya blurted out as I ran upstairs to the bathroom and puked before locking myself inside.

I knew this day might come, and I also knew that I have to excuse myself and let Oz and Willow raise their baby. I can still spoil the baby by being Aunt Buffy. I had just laid down on the floor when the knocking started on door. I heard Xander's voice as I just blocked everything out.

The next thing I knew, it was dark outside, but I was warm. I felt someone running their fingers through my hair. I looked up hoping it was Willow, but when I saw it was Dawn, I wrapped my arms around her waist and started to cry. I heard her soothing words as she just continued to hold me.

I don't know how long I laid there, but from out of no where, something primal kicked in. I climbed off Dawn's bed without waking her and climbed out her window before going on the hunt. I opened up my senses to make sure I wouldn't run into Faith or Willow. I headed for the docks since it had been awhile since I patrolled down here before making a sweep of the campus afterwards. It was then when I felt Oz and Willow's signatures. Sure enough, they were walking around holding hands as I headed back towards town.

I headed to the Magic Box to work off more frustration before deciding where to crash. I couldn't sleep in my bed right now, and Willow will probably use the dorm, so maybe I'll just sleep on the couch in the training room. After my hunt and preceded pummeling of the heavy bag, I left a message on Dawn's voice mail letting her know where I was at. I know it's not real mature hiding, but I'm not feeling much of anything right now.

----

The next morning I woke up with the feeling I was being stared at. My stubborness was working with me too because I had no urge to find out who it was, and if I were to guess, I would say Mom, mainly because Tara and Faith would have called me on my faking.

I just laid there under the blanket still sensing just the one person until I heard the back door slam before hearing footsteps heading my direction. My blanket was yanked off, and Faith grabbed my arm throwing me onto the floor. Then she let loose with a kick to my ribs that I just took even though I heard some cracking when it landed. She then picked me up by my collar and threw me across the room again.

"No wonder Red is with Wolf-boy B, you've turned into a wuss," Faith said as I saw red before charging her.

~looks like we got ourselves a slayer smackdown.~ z.
