Chapter 6...

Buffy walked back into the bedroom, but there was no sign of Willow.
"Will?"
She could hear the shower running in the en-suite. She could also hear Willow trying to cry quietly. Buffy knocked and went it. The sight she saw before her broke her heart.
Willow was sitting on the floor of the big glass shower, boiling water pounding down on her, pyjamas still on. Her knees were pulled to her chest and her head was leaning back against the wall, tears running down her cheeks.
Buffy didn't say anything, she just opened the shower, stepped in, and held Willow while she cried it out. The slayer knew this must be hard for Willow. Buffy let go of Willow for a second, turned off the shower and wrapped a still clothed Willow in a towel. She led her back to the bedroom and sat her on the bed, protective arms still surrounding her.
There were a few minutes silent before Willow's curiosity got the better of her, "What did you do to Kenn?"
She knew she shouldn't care for her abusive partner, but she couldn't help it. She was her wife. Even though it was out of fear, Willow had agreed to spend the rest of her life with her.
"It's OK, Wills, she's downstairs. The police will be here for her in a hour or so," Buffy said soothingly, whilst running a hand through Willow's hair. She held her tighter as she could see more tears about to come.
"C'mon, let's go to the hospital," Buffy stood and offered Willow a hand. Willow took it but didn't budge. "Will?"
"I-I don't think I need to go, they'll just say wait for the bruising to fade," Willow looked at Buffy with honest eyes, "I'm OK, Buff, just a few cuts and bruises, I'll be fine."
"Are you sure?" Buffy looked worried, "No aches or pains inside?" Willow didn't answer, "Wills?"
The witch sighed, "Only my stomach," then quickly add "it's not that bad, it's only because I had a big meal last night. My body.. kind of.. isn't used to large amounts of food in one go."
Buffy's eyes widened. The bitch didn't even let her eat whole meals.
"We're going to the hospital"
"Buffy, I don't need to!"
"We're going!"
"We're not!"
Buffy grabbed her friend gently but securely around her waist and flung her over her shoulder.
"YES, we are!" Buffy smiled as Willow squirmed.
"BUFFYYYYY! The, the needles... and germs! Remember the needles and germs? NEEDLES AND GERMS, BUFFY!"
"OK, Will, the hospital creeps me out, too, but it's better to be safe than sorry right?"
"Buffy, we're not going and that is final!"

Buffy was sitting in the waiting room, whilst the doctors ran several tests on Willow. She'd only been there an hour but it felt as though days had passed.
Finally, Willow stepped out of the room with the doctor following, who was finishing explaining what the results showed and what she needed to do to get better. She thanked her, then walked over to Buffy and explained what the Doctor said.
"They said I need alot of bed rest so my body doesn't shut down and I need to start lining my stomach up," Willow sighed and continued, "because I haven't been eating much for the past year or so, my stomach lining is barely there, so I need to start building it up, but I can't eat so much that I throw it all back up again, otherwise there'd be no point in eating it anyway."
"Thanks for that, Will, nice mental image, right there" Buffy joked pulling a mock disgusted face.
Willow smiled at her. No matter how bad things were, the slayer always made her smile.

By the time they arrived home, Kennedy had already been taken away by the police. Willow was to appear in court next week at Kennedy's trial. She wasn't looking forward to it.
When Willow announced she was going to bed at mid day, Buffy went up with her to check she'd be OK.
"This might be a stupid question, Will, but, are you alright?"
Willow nodded back and flashed the blonde a smile, "Yeah, I'll be fine after the trial"
"OK, I'll see you later... unless you're still asleep," Buffy smiled sweetly, "Do you... errr... want me to fill every one else in on... stuff?" She asked. Willow slowly nodded, and Buffy whispered an "OK" before turning to leave.
When she reached the door way, she heard her best friends shakey voice, "Umm... Buffy?"
Buffy turned her head to look at Willow, "Yeah, sweetie?"
"Could you... could you just stay... with me... just for a little while?" Willow looked at her with pleading eyes, "I don't wanna be alone right now."
Buffy was next to her friend in a shot envoloping her in hug.
"You're never alone, Wills. Not anymore."
