As far as I can tell, reading between the lines of articles and things, SMGhas become a real diva in the last few years. This probably contributed... nobody likes working/dealing with a prima donna. I had/have a friend/acquaintance-type-person who is very nice and has a lot of really good qualities but she's very much a diva (legend in her own mind) and 75% of the time I am around her I just want to stick a pencil in my eye.  

As for Freddie... every time I've seen/heard anything about him I get the feeling he's a real jerk to people he considers "beneath him".... just my opinion as an outsider... never met the man but you hear things, and of course read between the lines, esp. those post-quitting comments. 

The thing that gets me the most is that, in the FHM article recently, Aly stated that the cast/crew of Buffy found out that SMG was quitting though her EW cover/exclusive article. That's pretty shitty, IMO. She could've hadthe decency to at least tell people face-to-face, look, I'm not signing onfor another year, so the show's over.  

And by the way - have you SEEN the top she wore to the 2003 Teen Choice Awards? What the HELL was she THINKING?

I'd really love to know myself. Because it was obvious they were pretty tight the first three years or so. All the pictures of them together. They talked about each other in interviews. Sarah visited Aly in the hospitalwhen she had her tonsils out. And of course the I Miss You signs to each other when Sara was in NYC filming her first SNL guest host stint. 

So the question remains, what the hell happened? Did Sarah get an ego, did Aly? Did they just grow apart? Did Freddie Prinze Jr. play a role in it somehow? Because personally, after his comments when Sarah quit, I wouldn't be so surprised. He came off as a real ass I thought. 

So yeah, if anyone knows anything at all, I'd like to hear it too. It's rather sad, because I think their off-screen relationship definitely hurt the on-screen Buffy/Willow one in the later seasons.
