Part sixteen

The girls were walking towards Buffy and Giles place when Buffy had a thought. Willow's parents weren't coming home now for Spring Break, would Giles let her go to Ireland with them? It would be easy enough to get an extra ticket. She figured she'd ask him before mentioning it to Willow. Turning to her girlfriend she noticed that she appeared to be deep in thought about something.

"Whatcha thinking about?"

Willow turned towards her and let a small smile play on her face before facing forward again and talking.

"Just thinking about all the wild orgy parties I can have now that my parents aren't coming home and my girlfriend isn't going to be around."

"Ppfftt. Like you would anyway. Remember the last time they weren't home, the worst you let happen was a pool party that ended at two in the morning and you made everyone tidy up after themselves! Xand was not impressed."

Buffy took her girlfriends hand and pulled her into a kiss to soften her words before walking into the house.

Leaving Willow on the couch, she followed the sounds of Giles singing along to The Who and found him in his bedroom packing a few things.

"Hey Giles. Nearly packed?" She sat on his bed and watched as he finished packing his sweaters, he was taking a lot, and she wondered how cold Ireland actually was.

"Buffy, I'm nearly finished. I take it you have yours completed?"

"No I have a few things still to pack. I kinda need to ask you something and its totally okay if you say no I just wanna ask incase you say yes." She waited 'til she had his full attention and she got it when he sat on the bed beside her.

"Willow's parents called this morning and told her they weren't coming home. Do you think that it would be okay if she was to come to Ireland with us? I mean if you don't want her to or think it world be awkward, you know with the relatives, me and her being together, you can say no. I just thought I'd ask and see if it was even a possibility before saying anything to Will about it."

She waited for Giles to answer her. When he didn't, she looked up from the imaginary lint she had been brushing off her skirt. He looked thoughtful.

"Well we would have to call the airlines and check that they would be room on the flight before getting Willow's hopes up."

Buffy's eyes got huge. Pulling him into a strong hug, something, which she would never, have dared to do to any male a few months ago, she thanked him repeatedly before leaving to call the airlines and check the flight availability.

When she got off the phone she checked to make sure Willow was otherwise occupied before heading off to find Giles again.

"There were two seats left. They've saved one; you just have to sort it out when we check in. Would you mind paying for it then I can pay you back? I have some money saved up but not enough and —"

"Buffy don't be silly of course I'm going to pay and I want no talk of repayments. Lets just call it a gift."

Buffy could feel her eyes get misty and was determined not to cry, settling for a hug she left him to go and tell Willow the good news.

She found her exactly where she left her. Only on the floor instead of the couch.

"Hey Will, you wanna stop that for a minute and come sit with me, I need to tell you something."

Willow got up from the floor and moved to sit beside Buffy.

"What's up?"

"You know how Giles is taking me away for spring break? Well how would you like to come too?"

Willow's mouth opened and closed a few times before she was able to answer.

"Buffy have you asked Giles about this?"

Buffy was able to sense that her girlfriend didn't want to get her hopes up just yet.

"Yup and we called the airlines and there is room on the flight. So do you wanna go or not?"

She was answered with a kiss that began as a gentle meeting of two mouths but quickly evolved to a passionate embrace, which left both girls panting for breath.

Buffy looked into the hazel eyes in front of her and opened her mouth to speak at the same time as Willow did.

"I don't think I can wait much longer"

"This waiting is gonna get old real fast."
