Part fourteen

Buffy never even stopped walking. She charged into the room and lifted Amy out of her seat by the throat before slamming her into the wall.

"Talk now." The growled words were spoken with barely concealed rage.

Amy looked into the eyes of her attacker and felt a fear she had never felt before. She opened her mouth and told Buffy everything she needed to know.

When Amy was finished talking, Buffy was beyond angry. She thought back to what Willow had been trying to tell her in the room and it all made sense. Amy was sent to have sex with Willow, be it willingly or not.

Buffy's control slipped and her game face showed. Growling at the scared girl in her arms, the demon raised her hand and broke her promise to Willow.

Amy was dead in a second, laying on the floor, her neck at a weird angle.

Buffy stared down at the body before turning away.

"Make this disappear, I don't care how."

She left to go find her Mate without looking back to see if her order was being carried out.

Willow was sleeping when something woke her up. Looking about, she realised her was no longer in her hotel room.

"Welcome again Child." Willow turned towards the voice and suddenly she remembered everything that had happened in this place before.

"Hello."

The Woman smiled a kindly smile before her expression turned sombre.

"Your Mate has altered the balance. She has taken a life."

Willow gasped in horror, her hand flying to cover her mouth.

"Who did she..." she trailed off knowing who it was Buffy killed.

"At the present time, the balance is now in favour of evil. The Vampire has the power to do real damage to the world. To stop this we need you to do something for us but it is not a task that can be taken lightly. If you succeed you will have the power to change all of you friends destinies for the better. However if you were to fail, the consequences would be unbearable for all those concerned."

Willow watched the Woman in front of her pace as she talked and remembered their conversation from long ago.

"But before, you told me a prophecy about what was to happen. They always come true don't they?"

"Prophecies are strange things Child. They can be read by a thousand different people and not all will have the same outcome."

Willow closed her eyes and tried to think but all she could see in her head was Buffy killing Amy. She wondered how she did it. Did she bite her? No Willow seemed to know that that was a promise Buffy wouldn't break, not to her. Just then a vision hit her. One of Buffy standing in the middle of the cemetery staring at a grave before the sky rained Blood. She knew the grave was her own before looking at the name inscribed on it, just as she knew the events that had led to it and the ones that followed it.

When she opened her eyes they locked with the Woman standing before her.

"What do I have to do?"

The Woman never paused.

"I will fold the fabric of time and send you back to the point when the prophecy was activated. If you can stop that, there will be no threat."

Willow thought about all the advantages this could have but the next words out of the Woman's mouth caused her to forget them.

"The willow from that time will be transported her and will be kept in a catatonic state as will everyone, lest they tried and retrieve you before you accomplish your mission and you can not interfere with anything other than the prophecy. Is that understood?"

Willow nodded her head and was about to say more when the Woman smiled.

"You are brave. You take on this responsibility not for the sake of the world but for the love you hold for your Mate. This will guide you."

Willow had a sudden thought.

"If I change things, will I remember any of it?"

"Yes, but only you will remember, the others will not."

"When?"

"You must return to your body now, the Vampire is worried. You will know when it happens. Go now and speak not a word of this to anyone."

"You mean I'm gonna remember this time?"

"Peace be with you Child."
