Part seventeen

Buffy woke up to a voice calling her name. Not just any voice but Willow's voice. Jumping out of bed she looked around the room for a place to hide when the bedrrom door opened.

Willow looked at Buffy and noticed that she looked worn. Being a Vampire for only two weeks, Willow had no idea how Buffy was handling it.
Buffy wouldn't look Willow in they eyes and stared at the floor wondering just how in the hell Willow had not only known she wasn't dead and buried but that she was in the old Crawford Street Mansion.

Karen looked from the girl beside her to the demon standing in front of her and even though she knew that Buffy had a soul she still didn't trust her around her friends and family. Without realising it the Slayer and the Vampire had a lot in common.

Willow knew a little about what Buffy was going through and what she was feeling from the first time.

"Buffy" She stopped when she noticed her Lover flinch and only then did she notice the marks. Buffy was wearing a tank top and boxers to bed which showed off a lot of skin. Willow had been so caught up in seeing her again she hadn't noticed the marks at first, which must have been bad when they happened if they still hadn't healed two weeks later with combined Slayer and Vampire healing.

"Baby what-" again she was cut off by Buffy flinching and moving back a step.

"Please don't." There was so much pain in those two words. Buffy wanted nothing more than to be able to collapse into Willow's arms but she knew she couldn't. Not now.

Willow thought she knew what the problem was and walked over ignoring Buffy's pleas to stay away from her. Willow raised her hand and brushed back a strand of Buffy's hair and put it behind her ear before cupping her cheek.

"Buffy - look at me please - don't be scared. I know what happened and what you are now-" she didn't get finished that sentence before Buffy growled loudly making Karen jump into a battle stance.

Buffy broke away from Willow and moved toward the door. Opening in she reached her hand out and pulled in teh intruder, who Willow recognised.

"Troy." Both Troy and Buffy turned to look at Willow, not knowing how she knew who he was as nobody knew that Buffy and he were friends.

Willow walked over to Buffy, glad when she didn't pull away.

"We need to talk. Karen could you and Troy please wait in the main room?"

"No Way Will. I still don't trust her yet and he's a Vamp too."

"Why Slayer, how perceptive of you to notice."

Buffy finally looked at Willow before nodding to Troy.

"Karen please go, I'm perfectly safe here."

Buffy and Willow were left alone in the room. Buffy was fidgeting nervously, wanting to talk, kiss and hug Willow but fear rooted her to the spot. Willow sensing this approached her and wrapped her in a hug, glad when Buffy responded by tightening her arms and pulling her close.

Willow let the hug go on for a while before stepping back and taking Buffy's hand and moving them to the bed. Sitting she patted the space beside her, happy when Buffy say.

"Have you eaten today?" Buffy looked ashamed and shhok her head.

"Just woke up." Willow smiled at that remembering how Buffy used to wake her in the mornings.

"Yeah sorry about the earliness but we - I - had to see you."

Buffy turned confused eyes to her girlfriend -ex girlfriend- before responding.

"Will, how did you know?"

Willow smiled a sad smile, remembering what had happened in the past year before answering.

"Lets just say a Woman showed me everything i needed to know."

"What Woman?" The words were out before Buffy could stop them and Willow smiled knowing that her lover had one hell of a possessive streak.

"It's not important. What is important is that the council know that your not really dead and they want you that way."

Buffy closed her eyes and chocked back a sob.

"So they sent you? Guess they knew I'd never fight back." Standing up Before Willow could speak Buffy moved to her dresser and came back with Mr Pointy and handed it to Willow with tears in her eyes before stepping back and lowering her arms to her sides, leaving her heart exposed.

Willow looked at the stake in her hand before throwing it across the room and standing up and pressing her mouth to Buffy's, who was too shocked to respond making Willow back off with a frown on her face.

"What's wrong?"

Buffy mouth opened and closed before her tongue ran along her lips, tasting the trace of Willow's scent there.

"You... you know what I am, that I'm a d...demon and you still kiss me?"

Willow heard the vulnerability in her lovers voice and it broke her heart. Instead of answering verbally, she again kiss Buffy, happy that this time she got a response. Breaking off she remembered something she had said to Buffy a while ago:

"Buffy, listen to me." Willow started, nudging Buffy's chin up so the blonde would look at her. "I love you. Everything about you. Your strength, your Slayerness and your hunger and passion. There's nothing about you I don't love. I love all of you. I still love all of you now that your a Vamp and as much as I want to make love to you, we have to go and get Giles and Xander, also we have to make sure Troy and Karen haven't killed each other by now."

This last part earned her a smile before Buffy causally wrapped Willow in a hug, sighing in relief when it was accepted. Pulling back she looked into her lovers eyes.

"I love you."

Willow didn't even realise she was crying until Buffy was kissing the tears off her cheeks.

"Come on. You call Giles and Xander and have them come here and I'll go... eat." A thought struck Buffy.

"Will? About the eating... I don't...I mean I've never... I eat bagged blood."

Willow smiled before kissing Buffy once more and heading out of the room with her.

"I know, but I also know a human which won't mind a little bite, every now and then." Willow was about to leave the room when Buffy stopped her with a hand on her arm.

"Will I... that's never gonna happen. I would never put you in danger like that." Buffy's demon was already screaming at her to bite and claim what was hers. Her Slayer was oddly quiet.

Willow just gave Buffy a knowing look before walking into the main room, glad that Troy and Karen hadn't reverted to violence.

One hour later, Buffy was fed, Willow was ordering Chinese food for the humans, Karen was leafing through a magazine and Troy was sitting beside Buffy on the opposite side from Willow when the door bell rang.

Willow jumped up to answer it after giving Buffy a reassuring look. She hoped this went better than teh last time.

Troy moved closer to his only friend. He didn't know how the humans were going to react to a Vamped Slayer, but no one was hurting her.

Surprisingly Karen also moved to stand by Buffy, which got her a questioning look from the Vampire Slayer.

"What?"

Buffy never answered because at that moment Giles and Xander walked in followed by Willow.
