A/N: Here's the test results...are you ready for them?

----------------

Buffy shook her legs nervously, and clutched her knees. She had just peed into about six different pregnancy test strips, and was now waiting for the results. The doctor said that the semen had entered the egg appropriately on the first try, something that even amazed the doctor because of the abnormality in the case. Dr. Olivia told the girls to wait a week, and take at home pregnancy tests, and if the test confirmed the pregnancy, then they should call her, and set up a follow-up appointment for another physical. The physical wasn't just for them, though; it was for the research with the process, along with Buffy's abnormalities.

Willow was at work; she had called earlier to check on Buffy. They had both been on edge all week, afraid to do anything that would disrupt the fetus. Both were frustrated because every time they would go to make love, one or the other would panic, thinking that if Buffy came, the fetus would leave her body, even though both knew better intellectually. The two girls were just panicky, and anxiety was on overdrive. They still hadn't told anybody but Elm, and left out the real reason the young Rosenberg family was visiting when Mrs. Rosenberg came over for dinner. The lovers were walking on pins and needles, and they were glad that Elm's wife was there to help with Jesse, even though she had a handful with their twins.

When Xander and Anya arrived, they were nothing but shit-eating grins, and excitement at seeing their little girl again. They were surprised to see Elm there, and the two men took to comparing 'manly things' (as Xander called them), and Anya and Lisa compared baby stories. Buffy and Willow just smiled, hoping and wishing that they would get to share baby stories soon, even the 'manly things,' if at all possible. It was the first time they felt like outsiders in their group but they clung to each other nervously, thinking about the possibly growing fetus within Buffy's belly.

While Willow was at work, Buffy would take care of Jesse, and write more on her third book during naptime. Even with the chaos, tantrums, and all-out conundrums the little girl posed, Buffy found that she was STILL having a blast. She never really thought about motherhood in such a serious tone before, but when she would have a moment alone, especially the days after Jesse was gone, she would find herself unconsciously rubbing her stomach.

"Buffy?" Willow had a rough day at work. Numbers were in for the week, and Darla's acoustic solo album wasn't doing as well as expected. To top that off, the case with Drusilla's music rights had finally started, and there were phone calls from all over from media, lawyers, and companies wanting something from them. The redhead just wanted to sit down, snuggle with her wife, and maybe relax for a couple minutes. That's all she asked for, so she shrugged out of her jacket, hung it up on the coat rack, and made her way further into the house. She found Buffy fiddling nervously on the couch; her legs twitching up and down, and chewing her thumbnails. "Are you okay, baby?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." Buffy was a ball of nerves. She watched the clock on the VCR like a hawk; only two more minutes. Willow placed her briefcase beside the coffee table, and sat down on the couch beside her, rubbing her back gently.

"No, you're not. You're chewing your thumbnail; you only do that when you're extremely nervous. What's up? Did something happen with the baby? Are you not feeling okay?" Willow was worried. She just continued rubbing Buffy's back but nothing seemed to help. The blonde was solely focused on the TV for some reason.

"Fine. Everything's fine." Her legs were moving up and down at a more rapid pace as the seconds ticked by; 45 more seconds.

"It doesn't seem that way." Willow placed her other hand on Buffy's right knee to calm her down. The only thing that did was cause the blonde to jolt to the bathroom. "Well, that's a new reaction."

When she arrived in the bathroom, Buffy immediately scanned over each of the six tests. She had peed on them in intervals, so that the results would all come at the same time; it was a difficult task but she managed to force it somehow. Looking over each plus, pink, blue, and line, she tried to remember what each meant. Worriedly hauling boxes from the trashcan, she pulled tried to match the test with the box. Taking one last look, the blonde swallowed harder than she had in her life. She was pregnant. With all of that embarrassment in the doctor's office, after every poke and prod, the procedure was a success; on the first try. It was uncanny. Buffy just gripped the edges of one of the tests at both ends, and stared at herself in the mirror. She was pregnant. THEY were pregnant. There was life growing inside of her, and for the next nine months (barring no complications), she would be literally eating for two, and wouldn't get strange looks from people when she ordered more food at a restaurant than one average meal. She was preg... that's when she passed out on the floor, test flying from her clutched hands.

It took Willow a few seconds to gather her thoughts. Her day had already been hectic, and Buffy running away from her attention was unexpected. The tension and frustration was harsh but they hadn't lost anything; it was just a minor fear. Things would be better in a few days, when they would give Buffy a home pregnancy test. The redhead had even made a list from her research on the best brands and makes to use; there was no need not to be accurate. When she heard the thump from the bathroom, she rushed into the room, and immediately went about reviving her unconscious wife; it only took a few seconds. The blonde pinched the bridge of her nose between thumb and forefinger, and let out a deep breath before she propped herself up by the elbows.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Should I call an ambulance? Do you need..." Willow was halted by Buffy's hand, which had suddenly found a way to unbutton her trousers. "Buffy? Not that I wouldn't mind and all but..."

"Nothing's coming out, Wills. We both know that; that was one of the first questions you asked the doctor." Buffy was in such a state of flux that she didn't know what she was saying.

"Okay, huh?" Willow couldn't understand her, either.

"The stuff inside me that makes the baby. None of that's coming out of me if we...you know..." Buffy did her sexy shoulder thing that always made Willow laugh. 'Get a little sassy' was always her philosophy, right after 'life is short,' which was one of the first conversations the girls had when they first started dating: Buffy's 'life is short, enjoy life because tomorrow you could be dead' talk.

"I know." Willow leaned over from her crouched position by the blonde, and kissed her wife sweetly on the lips in response, balancing herself with her palms on the cold, tile floor.

"I have something to tell you." Buffy looked straight into the green eyes that were more than confused, and knew that her own hazel ones were already past sparkling.

"What is it, baby?" Willow pushed herself back to sit on the floor, pushing the test Buffy dropped earlier into the trashcan, entirely focused on her wife. It didn't register what the plastic thing was.

"That's it." Buffy nodded her head slightly forward, wanting to contain her happy tears.

"What is? You're going to have to be more specific. I'm not reading your cryptic well today." Willow moved closer to Buffy, pulling the blonde to her body. She pulled her wife between her legs, and put the blonde's own legs around her waist, giving her better access to hold her.

"A baby." Buffy's voice was quiet, and she choked back a sob, cupping Willow's face in her hands. Taking a deep calming breath, she closed her eyes, and tried again. Locking their gaze, she couldn't contain her brimming tears any longer.

"What's wrong? Did something bad happen?" Willow was all concern and worry; Buffy was confusing her. She just wiped the falling tears with the pads of her thumbs.

"No." Buffy lowered her voice to a whisper again, and leaned her body forwards, allowing for a full embrace, as they wrapped their arms around each other, and she squeezed tightly for a brief moment before letting go again to look into Willow's eyes. "It worked; we're going to have a baby." The room was dead silent for at least five minutes, as those words processed through Willow's usually fast working mind. They weren't planning to do the test for another few days; she was just caught off guard.

"Wow." Willow shook her head to snap out of her daze. "Really?" It was her childlike, hopeful voice, and Buffy just nodded, as she cupped the redhead's cheeks between both hands.

"Really." She leaned in for the softest of kisses before pulling back again. "Five out of six tests can't be wrong." Buffy motioned towards the tests lying on the counter, and Willow finally registered what she had thrown away mere moments before in the trashcan. Her eyes lit up, and they both were crying happy tears. "We're going to have a baby, Wills."

"A baby." Willow was finally in that state of flux herself, as she rained kisses upon her wife, everywhere she possibly could.

"I love you." Buffy caught Willow midkiss, and held her face lovingly. "I love you so much, Willow."

"I love you, too, Buffy." The redhead kissed her wife again; only this time there was such gentle passion that the room was deadly silent. She moved back from their kisses, and started to unbutton Buffy's white blouse with careful precision from the bottom up, as she brushed the shirt from tanned shoulders. Willow leaned forward, and touched the blonde's belly with a barely physical touch, which elicited shivers from Buffy from the gentle contact. "Baby..."

"Yeah." Buffy just watched her wife, awe on both of their faces. It was really happening; there was life growing inside of her. Willow wiggled back a little, and moved down to place tender kisses all around Buffy's lower torso, approximately where the baby was growing. She giggled, and wiggled herself from the soft feel of her wife's silky lips against her body. The blonde leaned back on her elbow, allowing the redhead better access, as she moved one hand to brush through auburn locks. "We'll need to call Dr. Olivia tomorrow to set up an appointment."

"Yeah but that's tomorrow. I'm focused on right now." Willow just continued her soft, loving kisses until she reached Buffy's lips. That same gentle passion was starting to grow, as the blonde pulled her down atop her carefully. She moved to straddle her hips for more comfort, and rubbed her right hand tenderly across the path her lips made seconds earlier.

"Ungha..." Buffy gripped Willow's head closer, allowing the gentle passion to increase in fervor. The redhead moved back to smile brightly at the groan.

"Ungha?" She was trying not to laugh. "Cave Buffy returns?"

"Just make love to me, Wills." Nobody needed to be told twice, as the two continued with
their gentle passion on the cold tile floor of the bathroom, both taking their time, and both relishing in the growth of their love and family.

"Girls, everything is in working order. I'm happy to announce that the procedure was a success. Buffy, you're pregnant." Dr. Olivia was all smiles, as she announced the news officially to the two lovers. After more pokes and prods, Buffy was getting restless; they were on cloud nine. "However, I do still have to point out the importance that you need to take extra caution not to overexert yourself, Buffy, especially with the recent infection. You'll have to watch what you eat more closely; the urge to overeat, even in with your abnormalities, will be strong. Plus, your exercise routine will have to lower. There's still a chance up until the third trimester that the fetus could miscarry, so you'll need to be super in tune with your body. You may want to decrease the amount of weightlifting, and especially extreme yoga poses. Listen to what your body is telling you, and there should be no complications." She looked at both of the girls. They were huddled together, arms wrapped like a chain link fence. "Any questions?"

"I think you've pretty much covered it." The girls stood, and the doctor showed them to the door. "Thank you for everything."

"It was my pleasure, girls. We'll see you in two weeks for a checkup." The girls nodded, and took off back to Fred's apartment for the third time that month. Willow's ex was starting to become suspicious.

---------------

"Xander says that when Jesse turns 5, he'll take me to Disneyland." Anya was excited; not only did she get lots of orgasms from her man recently, they were making plans for the future. "I feel like I've lived over a 1,000 years because I've never been there."

"That's nice." Willow was on cloud nine. She was going to be a mother!!! This was the best Thanksgiving ever, and the past 3 with Buffy were already amazing. They would only grow from here because this time next year, the baby would be here to enjoy it with them for the first time. Cordelia, Fred, and Gunn came up from LA to celebrate the holiday with them, and Fred was narrowing her eyes suspiciously towards Willow all night. Something was up with the redhead but for the first time, she wasn't able to read her; that just signified for her that her first love was really over, and it had her crying herself to sleep a few nights. There was a huge part of her life that was still devoted to her, even though they both had moved on to better, happier lives...somewhat. Her relationship with Charles was an enigma; she just wasn't sure where it was going yet.

"Um, everybody..." All eyes in the living room looked towards Xander after a few brief moments to end their own conversations. He stands up. "Can I, um...uh...there's something Anya and I ...want to tell you." Walking beside her, Xander watches Anya's confused look.

"Now?" Anya looks at him baffled, keeping her voice quiet.

"Now." There was no quaver to his voice. He was all confidence, as he placed an arm around her shoulder. "We're having another baby."

"Oh my God." Dawn squealed from her seat.

"Congratulations." Faith gives a smirk of her own, entwining her hands with Kennedy's on top of her knee, causing the younger girl to smile warmly. Buffy and Willow walk closer to the Harris couple.

"That's...that's...wow." Willow was not smiling. She and Buffy were supposed to be announcing that same thing, and here Anya and Xander beat them to the punch.

"It's a big wow." Xander was smiling, though. He was happy, and that's all that mattered.

"I thought you were waiting for the right moment." Anya looked at him with awe plastered across her face.

"I did." He gazed back at her fondly. The kiss, and Dawn is watching with lovesick eyes from her spot on the couch. Anya giggles when they break apart. They resume kissing.

"Did you know about this?" Buffy keeps her voice to a whisper, as she watches beside her wife.

"No. Unless I blocked it from my memory..." She glanced at Xander and Anya dumbfounded, as they turned back to the group. "How? I mean...how?"

"If you don't know that by now, Will..." Xander was nothing but a toothy grin.

"No, I mean...when? When did this happen?" She was trying to process it. It's not that she was happy; it was just unexpected, much like her and Buffy's baby would be in a few moments, if they decided to steal his glory.

"Well, that little vacation you sent us on about a month ago, I guess. We just found out the other day at the doctor's." Xander wanted to jump up and down, and shout that his manliness was good.

"Wow, I mean...this is great, you guys!" Dawn jumps up from the couch, where she's positioned beside Faith and Kennedy, and lunges at them with a hug. Little Jesse is giggling on Faith's lap, as the two tickle her, not completely at the age to understand she'll have a younger brother or sister.

"We've only been out of it for a month. How many other things have changed since we've been away?" Buffy looked at the crowd. It was true; the entire group was off doing their own little things, and the last time they were all together was Halloween.

"Oh! I got a tattoo." Dawn was smiling at her big sister.

"What?!" Buffy was shocked to hear it. It was hard to think of Dawn as a big girl now. To Buffy, she would always be little pumpkin belly, just like their mom used to call the little girl.

"Which is why I told her no." Willow tried to diffuse the situation. She was fully aware of Dawn's pleas to talk to Buffy about the whole tattoo thing. Apparently, Dawn still felt she needed permission from her big sister to do things that she could do on her own.

"Just a little one?" Dawn knew she was wheedling but it was worth a shot.

"Over my dead body." Buffy looked at Willow, knowing the panicky look that would be there. "The kind that doesn't come back." She smiled for reassurance, and moved to wrap her arms around her wife's waist, placing her head on the redhead's shoulder.

"Fine." Dawn rolls her eyes amusedly, and goes to sit back on the couch.

"Actually, on the subject of babies..." Willow waited until everyone was looking at them. When they were, Buffy continued.

"I'm pregnant, too." The blonde just watched the confused faces, and noticed the nod of 'aha!' on Fred's face.

"Now, Will...that would constitute a 'how?'" Xander was looking at them questioningly, just like other faces were. Now, that was a big shock. Nobody was even aware they were trying, which they would have been if Buffy were pregnant, since random pregnancy couldn't happen with them.

"Well, remember when Elm was here not too long ago?" Willow looked to Xander, willing him to put two and two together himself. He just nodded dumbfounded. "Well, we've been seeing a doctor in LA..." She looked over at Fred, and the others from LA, who smirked at the two girls, as each recalled the many trips (okay, 3 but it was still more than usual) that the girls made to the City of Angels. "Giles referred her to us, and we underwent a process that bound our DNA together through our eggs, and had the new eggs placed in Buffy, where Elm's...you know...was injected into her body."

"Buffy had sex with Elm?" Xander was a little lost; of course, Xander usually was when it came to most things.

"No. He...jacked off in a cup, and the doctor used a syringe to implant his sperm in me." Buffy was beet red but she was still a lesser shade than her wife. She just squeezed her lovingly, and kissed her shoulder for warmth.

"Oh, so you're knocked up, huh, B?" Faith smirked from her place on the couch, where Jesse was still perched on her lap.

"To put it bluntly, yeah." Buffy avoided eye contact with the brunette.

"Wow. I mean...this means I'm going to be an aunt?" Dawn perked up from the couch with an even more excited tone than before with Xander and Anya's baby news.

"Yeah, Dawnie. You're going to be an aunt." Willow sighed deeply. It was unnerving the amount of stares in their direction. "We just didn't want to tell you guys until we knew for sure. There was a big possibility that it wouldn't work, and we just didn't want to get our hopes up too high."

"I understand." Dawn jumped back up from the couch, and there were several other nods around the room, confirming they understood, too. "Wow! This is awesome!" The youngest Summers wrapped both girls into a massive hug, and squealed with delight. "This means that Buffy and Anya are going to be pregnant at the same time. This is so exciting!"

"That's true, Buff." Xander finally smirked, and came over to give the girls a hug. There were lots of hugs in the Rosenberg-Summers living room that night, and lots of congratulations. There were extra things to be thankful for that year, and each person left with smiles on their faces, hoping for the best for the two happy couples. Fred and Cordelia took Buffy's old bedroom, and Gunn stayed on the couch. Everybody else was at their own homes, and Buffy and Willow settled into their snuggles for the night.

"I can't believe Anya's pregnant, too." Willow wrapped her body more around Buffy's, as she rubbed tiny circles up and down the blonde's belly.

"I know. That was totally unexpected but I guess the whole night was totally unexpected." Buffy hummed her approval at Willow's tender touches, as she rubbed her own hand up and down the redhead's back soothingly.

"I'm so happy."

"Me, too."

"I hope nothing goes wrong." Willow was more than concerned about what the doctor had said, and was prepared to drill her wife for her safety, and the safety of their unborn child.

"Me, too." She knew about the worries, and expected nothing less but complete exaltation from the redhead during the entire process, knowing she'd be taken care of without abandon. There was no doubt in either's mind about that small fact. "I want you to know that I'm going to do everything the doctor said, and I'm going to watch my diet carefully, and cut back on training vigorously. I don't want anything to happen to the baby." She let the soft lull of Willow's breathing soothe her own tired eyes shut. "I can't wait to see your face when we meet him or her for the first time."

"I can't wait to hold it." Willow's voice was getting softer, and slower, indicating that she was falling asleep.

"I can't wait to hold you, while we both hold it." Buffy continued rubbing the redhead's back soothingly. "Night, Wills. I love you."

"Night, Buff...love you..." With that, the redhead fell asleep in the comfort of her wife's arms, as Buffy soon followed her to the land of sweet dreams.
