Rarity

by Salix

Part One

[reviews]

Willow sat on the edge of her bed in the dorm she shared with Buffy. She had tears running down her face, but that wasn't unusual. Oz had cheated on her, left her, broken her heart and now she was dealing. She was just starting to move on when she started to get sick. She thought that it was just a little bug at first, but then she found out when she went to the doctor for a regular check up. She didn't know what she was going to do. She should try to get a hold of him? He was out trying to find a cure for the wolf inside of him, would telling him that she's pregnant with his child screw all of that up?

She wiped her eyes and put on the chipper faced mask that she wears when she heard Buffy walk in the room. But the blonde gave her the 'all knowing' look and asked her what was wrong. Willow just said that she was missing Oz and she was still hurting and Buffy said that she understood and the two went out for mochas. Buffy knew that something was definitely wrong when Willow ordered herbal tea instead. Willow didn't know what to tell her, and in a public place was not where she wanted to do it.

As they walked back to the door room in silence Willow thought about all of the years that she had known Buffy. At first it was just a really close friendship but it had sparked into something much, much more. She didn't know what to do with those feelings and she knew that if she ever told anyone then she would be made fun of or hated because what she was feeling just wasn't considered normal. She really did like Oz, and she even grew to love him, but whenever she was with him there was just something missing. She knew what it was, and he was the only one she ever told.

He was hurt at first, but he told her that he understood. He knows what it feels like to have something inside of you that you can't control and that you can't make go away even if you really want to. He was loyal to her and he loved her, and she loved him back. And when she accidentally called out a different name in bed he didn't get angry and he didn't turn away. He was everything she could have asked for in a guy and she was so happy that she had him, but she knew that it was only a matter of time for it not to be enough. And she didn't blame him. She actually wished that it had happened sooner because then it wouldn't have hurt either of them as much as it had.

Most of her tears for him where out of guilt. Because if she had just ended it before all of it got out of hand, and he was made out to be the bad guy, then he wouldn't have left. She really did miss him, and she felt the pain of a burned lover but she also felt the guilt that consumed her because deep down she knew it was partially her fault. At first her thinking was 'if only I were normal then none of this would have happened'. But she knew that she could never deny her love for the blonde slayer. She knew that she would always be in love with Buffy, but she also knew that she could never act on that love because the feelings would never be reciprocated.

Now, they're sitting on their own beds, Willow still lost in her thoughts and Buffy looking at her with a lot of concern. She knew that Willow loved her, had known for a long time. She had overheard her and Oz talking about it one day but she didn't do anything, never let on that she knew because she didn't want to get in the way of Oz and Willow. She thought that if they were together long enough then Willow would get over her and she and Oz would end up getting married and having kids and being happy together like they deserved. And then all of this happened and she was starting to question herself.

Willow looked up into the questioning eyes of her best friend. This was just so hard. She wanted it all to just go away. She knew that Buffy would be mad at her, she just knew it. No one would be able to look at her the same way, her parents would disown her, she would have to quit school and get some lousy job just to get by, if she's lucky maybe Giles will take her in. She hated the fact that she was now just some stereotype and she had no idea what she was going to do. She saw Buffy open her mouth to ask what was wrong but she beat her to it.

"I'm pregnant, it's Oz's," where the only words that she spoke. She watched as Buffy's mouth hung open in shock. Her face paled a little and she looked like she was about to pass out. Willow couldn't stand her looking like that, just sitting there not saying anything, and she waited a few minutes, she waited for the yelling to come, the disappointment, but it never came. All she got was a comforting hug and whispers in her ear telling her that they would work this out, that everything would be ok, and that Buffy would always be there to help her.

Willow broke down then. She cried not because of the situation, not because of everything bad that had happen, but because she knew that she would never truly have Buffy, at least not the way she wanted her. She just knew that Buffy would never feel the same about her, and she knew that if she ever told the blonde how she felt then she would be repulsed and then she wouldn't even have Buffy as a friend, and she just couldn't imagine her life without the blonde. She didn't know when it happened or how long she had cried but she was soon asleep. It was fitful and restless and when she woke up she was in the arms of the sleeping slayer.

She wanted to just lie there and relish in the soft arms of her friend, her wishful lover, but the moment was very short lived and she found herself running at a breakneck speed towards the girls' bathroom as the morning sickness that couldn't tell time washed over her body and forced her to her knees in front of the first vacant toilet she could find. When her body stopped its heaving she flushed the toilet and rested her forehead on the cool surface. But then she remembered that it was a public toilet and she jumped back in disgust.

She walked out of the stall and washed out her mouth and rubbed her forehead with a wet paper towel. When the door opened she looked into the mirror and saw Buffy walking towards her, with a worried look on her sleepy face. The messed up hair and the wrinkled clothes and red indents from the sheets and pillow case, on any other day she would have smiled at the jostled look of the other girl, but today she felt nothing but shame. She felt Buffy's hand on her shoulder and she looked into the blonde's eyes through the mirror. She could see the confliction in them and she wondered what was the matter. She didn't have to say anything, because when the blonde saw the questioning look she decided it was time for her to confess.

"I know...why Oz really left. I've known since the Angelus fiasco. I heard you guys talking about it. I didn't know what to say, you guys seemed so happy and he was just so perfect for you and I was still dealing with losing Angel, and I didn't want you to break up because of me," she said but she had to stop for fear of sobbing right there. The look in Willow's eyes was surprise at first and then confusion. Why was Buffy telling her all of this? Was it just to torment her? Did the Powers That Be want to mess up her life even more? It just didn't make any sense.

"Do you feel the same?" she asked, and she was surprised at how angry it sounded. That's what was bubbling beneath the surface right now, just anger. Buffy knew and didn't say anything. Willow went through all of that fear and for what? Just to be told that her best friend already knew so it was ok now? That it made everything better? If Buffy didn't say something soon then Willow was probably going to freak out.

"Yes. When I took off after I...killed Angel.... I went to sleep every night thinking about you. I was just so afraid that something bad was going to happen to you, that some vampire would kill you and it would be all my fault. You're the reason why I came back, Will." Maybe it was the extra boost of hormones coursing through her body because of the pregnancy but Willow wasn't just mad or angry, she was downright pissed off. Why was the blonde telling her all of this now? And she's known almost the entire time? It was around the Angelus fiasco, as Buffy had put it, when she told Oz about her feelings so Buffy's known almost as long as he has and she just kept her mouth shut?

She didn't say anything as she stormed off towards the door. Buffy was behind her, but keeping her distance. She stomped off to the dorm room and slammed the door before Buffy had a chance to enter. She was just so mad she didn't know what to do. She started pacing, but that wasn't helping at all. She punched the desk, only to result in a hurt hand, so she kept up the pacing. And then Buffy walked slowly into the room, tears in her eyes and a guilty look on her face. Willow just looked over at her, still angry as hell, but also a little scared.

"You just had to keep quiet?" Willow yelled as Buffy shut the door. "You've known since we were juniors in High School that I like you, that I'm pretty much in love with you and you kept your damn mouth shut about it even though you feel the same? All you had to do was say something and none of this would be happening Oz wouldn't have cheated on me and taken off and I wouldn't be standing here, yelling at you I wouldn't be pregnant right now if you had just told me about your feelings " She lost the little bit of control that she had and hit the wall. It dented a little but she didn't care. At that moment she was just so pissed off and she needed to yell and get it out of her system.

"What about you?" she heard Buffy ask. There was anger in the voice, but it was kept under control and nowhere near the level of Willow's. "You're blaming me for all of this, but all you had to do was speak up and tell me how you felt. And no one forced you to stay with Oz, you could've broken up with him and he would have understood. But you stayed with him and now all of this is happening." She took a deep breath to calm herself down. She really didn't want to be having this argument right now. And what was up with Willow anyway? Buffy tells her the one thing that she thought would make Willow happy and it just sends her over the edge into crazy pissed off redhead land?

"I was scared Buffy. For all I knew you were in love with Angel and would've hated me if I said anything. Oz understood what it was like to have something inside of you that you can't control and I needed that. I needed someone there who understood. If I had known how you felt then I would have ended it. He knew that if I found out that you liked me in more-then-a-friend sort of way then I would have left him for you and he was ok with it. But I didn't know. I was afraid that if I told you then you wouldn't even want to be friends anymore.

"But you knew how I felt. You knew that you were the one that I wanted to be with and you just stood there and let me believe that I would never have a chance in Hell with you. You could have spoken up a million or more times, but you just sat there. Even when I was hurting over Oz you didn't say a damn thing.

"So why now Buffy? Are you only telling me this because you feel sorry for me? 'Oh poor Willow, her boyfriend cheated on her and took off to God knows where while she's left back here hurting and pregnant with his baby'. If you told me because you feel sorry for me then I would rather you have just kept your mouth shut." She ignored the hurt look on Buffy's face and didn't even allow her to explain herself and her actions. She grabbed her coat and stomped off towards the door. She was surprised to see Xander and a small crowd of people standing outside the door of her home but she didn't care. She took off down the hall and off of the school campus. She went to the one place where no one would ever look for her and she stayed there for the rest of the night.

"Buffy what was all of that about?" Xander asked and closed the door. The crowd of nosey people had finally left after he told all of them to get lost and now he was just worried about his friend's well being. He had heard some of the fight and was surprised by a few things but he wasn't going to just take all of it out of context and draw conclusions, he wanted the facts. But Buffy just stood there, staring at the door as if she couldn't believe Willow had really left. She didn't even give Buffy a chance to explain, she just left.

"Buffy," Xander said sternly snapping her back to reality. He was looking at her with a lot of concern and curiosity. She looked so hurt, like she was about to fall apart right there. She had tears in her eyes that were threatening to spill over but she kept them in. He knew her better then to just break down in front of someone, at least someone other then Willow. Those two were just so close, so what was the big fight all about?

"I screwed up Xander," she said. Xander knows how she feels for the redhead. He had promised on his life that he would never say a word to anyone and he hadn't. He had been encouraging Buffy to say something to Willow, but Buffy had lied and said that she didn't know how Willow felt or if she were even interested in the girl-girl think since she was dating Oz. And now all of this was happening. Why does everyone not listen to Xander when they really should? She felt so stupid.

"I should have told her. She said that if I had told her back then that she would have left Oz to be with me. She was just so scared to find out how I felt, she said that she was afraid I wouldn't want to be her friend. She thinks that I would've hated her." The tears were creeping their way down her face and Xander couldn't help but envelop her in a big hug. He rubbed her back and held her until she pulled away and then he stepped back, out of her personal space and looked into her eyes. He could tell that there was more, he had heard it himself.

"I was outside the door at right about 'while she's left back here hurting and pregnant with his baby'. Please tell me she wasn't talking about her and Oz," he said but he knew from the look in Buffy's eyes that it was true. He was shocked, mad, worried, and scared all at the same time. This was Willow, his little Willow who he grew up with, he had stolen her Barbie, and did the Snoopy dance every year around Christmas time and complained about Cordelia with her, and talked about their futures and what they wanted to be and live and what celebrity they wanted to marry most.

They had looked for five hours before Xander decided to go home. Buffy didn't stop searching. She looked all night and all morning until she finally headed back to the dorm for some fresh clothes. She planned on going out and looking for Willow after that but the redhead was waiting for her when she got back. She closed the door but didn't make an attempt to move further into the room. She didn't want to scare Willow off again. She looked into the amazingly green eyes of her long time best friend, and she wondered if they would even have a friendship when all of this is over. Willow didn't look like she wanted to speak anytime soon so Buffy went ahead, needing to get everything off of her chest before Willow started in on her.

"I didn't tell you because I was scared. I was afraid of what our friends would think, and afraid of what our parents would think if we were in a relationship together. I was afraid that if people saw us walking down the sidewalk together holding hands and leaning on each other or giving each other quick kisses they would...that they would say hurtful things to us and be disgusted. I didn't want you to go through that. You've been teased and put down almost your entire life by Cordelia and her little gang of friends, I didn't want that to come from total strangers." Willow went to speak but Buffy stopped her. There was still a lot more that she needed to say and if she were interrupted now then she might not ever get up the courage to do this again.

"Will, please, let me finish. I didn't tell you now because I feel sorry for you. Don't get me wrong, I do feel bad for you, but that's not why I told you how I feel. When you told me that you're...well, you know, I saw the fear and the confusion in your eyes and I wanted to make it go away. I just wanted to take you in my arms and kiss you until it was all better. And I was pretty sure that if I did you would freak. I told you because I've wanted to tell you even before Oz left. I've wanted to tell you ever since I got back after I ran away, but I couldn't. Every time I would go to say something I would chicken out. I was just so afraid that your feelings for me had gone away and I don't think I could've lived with that.

"I don't know what's going to happen now. I don't know what you plan to do about school, and everything else. I don't even know if you want to keep the baby or not. I don't even know if you still want me or not. But even if you don't want me in more-then-a-friend sort of way I'll always be here for you. No matter what happens I'll always be your friend. I know you're mad at me for not saying something sooner but I was just afraid. It just took me too long to realize that what other people think doesn't really matter and that if our friends are truly our friends then they'll deal with it."

By now she was on her side of the room, sitting down on the bed and when she finished talking she covered her face with her hands and rested her elbows on her knees. She was too afraid to look up at Willow. All she could think about right now was that she can go out and kill demons every night but she's too chicken-shit to face her friend. She didn't look up when she felt the soft hand on her shoulder and she was surprised when she felt the two fingers under her chin, lifting her face up. Before she knew it was happening Willow's soft lips were on hers and once she got over the shock of it she quickly lost herself in the kiss.

"I'm sorry I freaked out yesterday, it must've been the hormones. I was just so mad that you didn't say anything and I couldn't control myself. I don't know where I'm going to go from here. I don't know if I'm going to keep the baby or not. No abortions, I could never do that, but maybe adoption? I just don't know.

"My parents are going to hate me, I don't know if I'll be able to stay in school, I'll probably have to find somewhere else to live. I don't know if you even want to be in a relationship with a pregnant woman, from what I've heard they can be pretty mean. A perfect explain would have to be my temper tantrum and-" she was cut off by Buffy's lips pressed softly against her own. She wanted to stay like this all day, with Buffy's arms around her, their tongues softly exploring each other's mouths. But she jumped up off of the bed suddenly and hightailed it to the bathroom, Buffy followed closely behind.

They did start a relationship and they quickly found that they were very happy together. Sunnydale is a very small town and the majority of the people just ignored their relationship altogether, while there are a few who will gawk and glare and others who will smile at them. Not to mention the teenage boys who watch open mouthed whenever Buffy leans in and places a gentle kiss on Willow's lips whenever they're out in public.

Things were great, but the major problem they found was the morning sickness because it couldn't tell time and would disrupt Willow's classes throughout the day. It took a lot of convincing on her part but Buffy finally agreed with Willow to do a spell that would help with that. Willow went to regular check ups at the doctor and Buffy went to every one of them wanting to support Willow through all of this.

She still wasn't sure if she was going to give her baby up or not. Buffy assured her time and time again that she would be there and support her no matter what she decided but she was hoping that Willow would keep the baby. Late at night they would fantasize about how cool it would be to raise the baby together, to have like their own little family. The main problem would be the living conditions because there was no way the school would allow them to keep a baby in the dorms and they knew one of them knew was going to have to stop going to school to be able to stay home and take care of it.

So that had Willow leaning towards adoption, until she learned that Giles had lied to the Watcher's Council and wormed some money out of them to help pay for all of the expenses. He was also able to get enough money from the Council to get another apartment and he said that when the baby arrived Buffy and Willow were more then welcome to take that and not to worry about the costs. It all seemed so surreal. And everything was going so perfect. Almost too perfect and Buffy was just waiting for the other shoe to drop hoping that it wouldn't and that she was just being silly by worrying for nothing.

They had just walked out of the doctor's office after getting a sonogram and they were looking at the pictures of the little baby girl that's taking up residence in Willow's growing belly. They had started decorating the new two-bedroom apartment that Giles had gotten for them. They were going to be moving in a little earlier then they first expected because they wanted to be used to the place before the baby had to get used to it. The walls of the nursery were going to be a very pale pink, Xander had repainted the crib they had boughten to match the walls, there was a white wood with blue cushioned rocking chair, a light yellow changing table, a little white toy box and there were stuffed animals all over the room.

The only work that needed to be done now was rearranging everything to where they wanted it. They were also stockpiling on diapers and wipes and clothes and bottles and formula. They wanted to make sure that they had absolutely everything. They also made sure to buy the things that were as inexpensive as possible. They planned on using the rest of the money to be able to buy them a new bed and to decorate the apartment. Giles had insisted on buying them the furniture and they said no at first, but they were only being modest. The only important things they had to do now was make sure nothing bad happened to Willow and sign the withdraw papers for the college to tell them that they were moving out of the dorm and would no longer need to pay the fee.

They were on the elevator riding it up to the third floor of the very nice building. Luckily here in Sunnydale houses and apartments weren't very expensive. Probably because most of the residents didn't stick around for long. People were always moving to the town and there were very few who actually stuck around for a long time. They were either scared away by the things that go bump in the night or they were victims of the things that go bump in the night. But still, they would have to get jobs if they wanted to be able to pay for all of this. They were going to pay Giles back no matter what he said and no matter how much resistance they were met with.

They were kissing when the doors to the elevator opened and they made their way to apartment 23C. They were overcome by passion at the moment and they weren't looking to where they were going. At one point Willow pressed Buffy up against the wall and gave her a good grope for anyone to see. The hormones were running wild through her veins and she was surprised she wasn't ripping their clothes off right there. She pulled back very reluctantly when she heard someone couch to get their attention.

They both turned towards the person, embarrassed but mad because they couldn't continue and they would have to wait and talk to them instead of running towards their bedroom to christen the new bed for the tenth time that week. Willow thought she was going to faint when she saw who was standing before her. She glanced over at Buffy and the blonde looked like she was going to run her fist through a wall. She tried to say something but nothing came out and it was a little frustrating.

"Xander said I could find you here," Oz said and put his hands in his coat pockets. He was clearly uncomfortable by what he had just witnessed but he was doing his best to control himself. Willow let go of Buffy's hand and gave him a big hug. He hadn't seen the bulge in her belly because of the shirt she was wearing covered it up but he felt it press against him when she hugged him tightly. He noticed that Buffy was sending him looks that could kill a lesser being and ended the hug quicker then he wanted to. They exchanged hellos and made their way to the apartment and once they were all seated Oz got down to the explanations when Buffy asked what he was doing back here, and she did not sound happy when she said it.

"Before I left I said I was going to find a cure and I did," he said and they were both speechless. What do you say to something like that? Willow tried to tell him that it was great but she was too excited to even form words. He was still looking a little grim, which is odd because Oz usually hides his emotions. He looked down at Willow's stomach, his face returning to the unreadable blank slate, but his eyes were full or worry.

"Is it mine?" he asked and Willow put a protective hand over her stomach. She felt Buffy give a reassuring squeeze to her hand and she nodded her head yes. She couldn't think of anything to say. Part of her wanted to be mad at him for leaving her especially while she's pregnant. But the other part was glad that had gone because now she has Buffy, and there was no way Oz could've known that she was pregnant when he left when Willow hadn't even known.

"Where you going to tell me?" he asked and looked up into Willow's eyes. Her mouth opened but nothing came out so she closed it again until she had the words right in her mind. She took a deep breath needed to relax because she didn't want to become over-stressed and having something bad happen. She's pretty sure that giving birth when you're only five months along isn't such a good thing.

"I had no idea where you were. I had no way of contacting you. But yes, I planned on telling you. I guess I just sort of forgot with the shock you being back and all," she said and mentally congratulated herself for not breaking out into a big babble like she thought she was going to. He just nodded his head understandingly. She had no idea what was going through his mind and she really wanted to know. He was back, but was he going to stay? Does he want to be a father? Does he want to be a part of his daughter's life at all?

"Nice place you got here," he told them, looking around for the first time. It smelled of them and sex and he couldn't get it out of his mind. He was going to go crazy if he didn't get out of here soon. They both looked around as if they were seeing it for the first time but they didn't say anything and the silence was starting to get to Willow. She just couldn't keep quiet anymore. She had so much buzzing through her mind and she was trying to contain it and it just wasn't working. She needed to calm down and would have turned to Buffy for comfort but the blonde was too busy sending Oz evil glares to notice her distress.

"Thank you, it is a nice place. Giles got the Watcher's Council to send him some money, somehow, he won't tell us how he did it. And he's paying for the apartment and for all of the baby stuff. And most of the furniture here. He says that he doesn't want us to pay him back but we're going to because this is just too much we wouldn't feel comfortable just taking this. I'm not too sure what the plan is because we're sort of waiting before we make any further plans, but I think that we should put the rest of the money in the bank and let it build interest and then find some type of daycare that way we can both go to school and neither of us will have to drop out after she's born to take care of her during the day."

She was forced to stop when all of the air was gone from her lungs. Her face was turning purple and her forehead was a little sweaty and now that the very long babble was over she was breathing really hard. Buffy started to rub her back, trying to help her catch her breath. She purposely put her other hand high on Willow's thigh and out of the corner of her eye she saw Oz narrow his eyes at the gesture for just a fraction of a second.

"Do you want me to get you some water or something, baby?" Buffy asked and brushed the hair out of Willow's face, tucking it behind her ear. Willow shook her head no and Buffy took her by the hand and then looked over at Oz. Even the smallest displays of affection seemed to be getting to him and Buffy couldn't help but smile on the inside. The slayer side of her was very competitive, and very...territorial, so it wasn't her fault she was enjoying this so much. Well, at least that's the excuse she's going to use if Willow catches on to what she's doing and questions her about it.

"I'm gonna head out. I'm staying at Xander's tonight if you want to talk," Oz said and then got up and left before either of them could stop him. Willow watched him go and then looked over at Buffy. The redhead was irritated, that much was sure. Partly because she had been denied sex, and the other part was because of the way Buffy was acting. Willow is very far from stupid, she caught on right away that Buffy was trying to make Oz uncomfortable.

"What?" Buffy asked, trying to sound and look innocent. Willow just stood up from her place on the couch and walked into the kitchen. That long babble had taken a lot out of her and she needed something to eat and then she was going to take a nap to hopefully get rid of this headache. Buffy followed her and she couldn't stop her body from responding when the blonde wrapped her arms around Willow's waist, holding her from behind, and placing small kisses on the sides of her neck.

"No Buffy, what you did was rude. No sex until you apologize to him tonight. I'm going to call and invite everyone over for dinner and then you're going to say you're sorry to Oz and then you're going to play nice. And don't give me any of that 'my slayer half makes me jealous and territorial' bullshit because we both know that's what it really is," she said, sounding pissed off and she stomped out of the kitchen, leaving her sandwich only half made. She slammed the door to the bedroom and laid down on the bed.

She just couldn't believe how Buffy was acting. It was obvious from their display in the hall that they were a couple and Oz would never make a move on Willow if he knew that she and Buffy were together. And he wasn't even checking Willow out, at least not in a sexual way, and he wasn't coming onto her so Buffy has no excuse for acting like that other then just to make him jealous. She heard the door open and then close as Buffy walked in. She could only imagine the look of guilt and concern on the slayer's face as she buried her face in her pillow even further and continued to cry.

She felt the blonde's soft hand start to rub the length of her back. But because she was still mad at the blonde she flinched at the touch and pulled away. She hadn't done that in a long time, not since their first fight. It hadn't even been that big of a deal really, just Willow's raging hormones making their presence known and Buffy said something without thinking and Willow took it the wrong way. It had taken them three hours before they finally apologized, how long would it take them to get over this one?

"Willow, Willow please stop crying. I didn't mean to. It's just that...well, Oz is kind of a touchy subject for me. I think I'm always going to be jealous of him, even if he knows that he can never have you again," she said and she tried to again to rub Willow's back. But Willow rolled over so that she was looking at Buffy. She wiped the tears away from her eyes and sniffled very loudly. She looked into Buffy's guilt ridden eyes, her green ones displaying confusion and a little anger.

"But why? You have me and he doesn't, if anything he should be jealous of you. He never had me, not really. Even when we were dating it was you I wanted. So why are you acting so much like...like...like a guy around him?" she asked and choked back the sob that was trying to make its way out of her throat. What Willow had said was an inside joke between them. Willow had told her that whenever someone hit on her Buffy's jealous 'guy side' came out. But Willow was not joking whatsoever at the moment.

"It sounds stupid, and selfish, but I guess it's because he had you before me. He's your first everything, Willow. And I just get jealous because I didn't get to experience that and he did," she said shamefully and lowered her eyes from Willow's gaze. It did make sense now that she said it out loud. But it also sounded very childish and Willow wasn't about to condone the behavior just because it sounded just the tinniest bit romantic. ~But it's possessive and she shouldn't be thinking like that.~ Willow thought.

"Buffy, it doesn't really matter who had me first. It shouldn't matter because you have me now, and that should be enough for you. Besides, when I was with him the time only I could...ya know...was when I thought of you," she said and she blushed so deeply that it matched her hair. She watched as Buffy tried her hardest not to smile. She really did try hard but the corners of her mouth kept creeping up and then she would bite her bottom lip to suppress it. It was kind of cute to watch, at least Willow thought so.

When Buffy saw that Willow was trying not laugh at her she did the thing that she knew would drive Willow crazy and forgive her and possibly even seduce her. The patented 'Buffy pout'. She stuck out her bottom lip and dipped her head a little so that she was looking up at Willow through her eyelashes. Then she batted said eyelashes a couple of times and made the lip quiver. She could see that Willow's resolve on the 'no sex 'till you apologize' rule was starting to break, and she just needed a little extra push.
