Part six

Buffy rolled over in bed, and reached for the person that should have been beside her.

Groaning as her hand came into contact with cold sheets, she sat up.

Just as she was about to call out her bed partners name, her eyes widened.

'just a dream, she's not here'

Pouting, she climbed out of bed and headed for the shower, tying her hair back so it wouldn't get wet.

As the warm water hit her chest, she groaned realising that her dream had left her aroused.

Flicking the water switch, she squealed as she was blasted by cold water.

After standing under it for a minute, Buffy jumped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around her.

"Right, firsts things first. Workout. Paint. Willow."

Buffy moaned as she got an image in her head of paining Willow nude.

"So not helping me right now."

"Okay, so cold shower, workout, paint then Willow." Buffy groaned as she once again stood under the cold water.

-----

Willow's mother looked up from her newspaper when her overly happy daughter came bouncing into the kitchen.

"Good morning."

Willow smiled at her mom and kissed her on the cheek.

Her mother smiled, a surprised expression on her face.

"What brought on the happiness?"

Willow blushed as she remembered her dream.

"I'm just happy."

Her mother smiled knowingly.

"Who is he?"

Willow's eyes widened.

"There is no he."

She realised that she may have said that a little to forcefully when she saw the calculating look on her mothers face.

Willow grabbed a muffin and waved before rushing out of the room and back up to her bedroom.

By the time she reached her bed, her good mood was gone. Now not only did she have to suffer having feelings for someone she couldn't date, but now she knew she had to have the talk with her parents.

"My life sucks."

-----

Stepping back, Buffy looked over the painting before smiling. She had finally gotten it finished, and she still had thirty minutes to collect Willow.

Lifting the painting carefully off its stand, Buffy placed it on the tripod that was clean of any paint spillages.

Wetting a damp cloth, she ran it around the edges of the tripod the painting had just been moved from, before standing back and stretching.

Now all she had to do was frame it.

-----

Willow came bouncing down the stairs when she heard a car pull into their driveway.

"That's for me, Bye mom, Bye dad." Willow was out the door before either could say anything.

Willow's mom stood up and moved to the window in time to see her daughter get into a very expensive looking car, with a blonde girl sitting in the drivers seat.

-----

"Hey Buffy."

Buffy smiled as Willow fastened her seatbelt.

"Morning Will."

"So, where are we going to go?"

Buffy smirked and pulled out of the driveway, easing the car into gear and heading off in the direction of her house.

"It needs to be somewhere where there is no chance of her being damaged, because I love this car."

"Hey! It just so happens that I am a good driver." Willow pouted, not seeing Buffy's eyes darken as she looked at the redheads lower lip.

"It isn't you I'm worried about."

Willow's pout turned into a smile before she relaxed back into the seat.

"Okay, so where are we going?"

Buffy smiled as she put her sunglasses on, hoping to block the glare of the sun and at the same time hide her straying eyes from Willow.

"My place."

-----

Willow's eyes widened when they pulled into Buffy's driveway.

"You call this a home?"

Buffy frowned and slowed the car down before getting out and gesturing for Willow to do the same.

"Something wrong?"

Willow turned wide eyes back to the blonde as she was handed the car keys.

"How big is this place?"

Buffy shrugged and slipped into the passenger seat.

"Drive up the pathway, then turn to your left, after that, go where you want."

Willow frowned and slipped the key into the ignition.

As the car came to life, she smiled before easing it into gear and following Buffy's directions.

-----

"I'm telling you, clothes were everywhere." Buffy laughed as she and Willow made their way into her home.

Willow blushed and ducked her head, causing Buffy to stop laughing and tilt her own.

'surely she's not...'

"I don't know if he's still here, but I would stay away from the living room if I were you."

Willow quickly nodded her head and followed Buffy into the kitchen.

"You want anything?"

Willow looked over the contents of the fridge, and wasn't surprised to see nearly every drink known to man in it.

"A water will be fine."

Buffy grabbed to waters and handed Willow hers before leading her out onto the back porch.

Willow gasped when she saw the pool.

"Oh god, you have to have a pool party soon."

Buffy frowned and picked at her water bottle.

"I don't know, the only people I know here are my students, and Anya - who doesn't even live here."

Willow shrugged and plonked herself down in the closest seat.

"Invite some old friends down from L.A. And we aren't just your students you know."

Buffy sent her a small smile before looking up at the cloudless sky.

"Yeah okay, how about next weekend?"

At the back of her mind, being ruthlessly pushed back, was the image of Willow in a swim suit.

Willow's smile was answer enough.

They were interrupted when Xander appeared.

"I thought I heard you Will."

Both Buffy and Willow groaned silently, neither wanting their alone time to end.
