Chapter 4
Willow was worried today was Tuesday, three days since they had last seen Buffy, and told her about demons.
She glanced at her watch as she had on Monday. She was waiting out at the main door to the school.
Buffy hadn't showed up at school yesterday, and it didn't look like she was today. The main reason she was waiting was that she wanted to discuss what she had found on Buffy.
Just as she was about to give up and go back inside she saw familiar blond hair moving up the front lawn.
"Buffy!" she yelled waving her hands around. Buffy quickly looked at her but put her head down not giving Willow a chance to see her.
Willow frowned at the blond's secluded manner, but she was not about to take no for an answer. She ran up to Buffy's side and tried to lift her chin up.
Buffy ripped her face away keeping her head down, "My d-dad said I c-can't talk to y-you."
Willow was confused and it showed in her voice, "Did you tell them, or what?"
Buffy quickly backtracked, "No just they don't want me to see you."
Buffy's face turned around and looked at a black Sedan parked in the parking lot.
"Um... I have to go," Buffy said and scurried off to her class.
The next day Willow waited in the shadows of a tree in the front lawn determined to talk to Buffy.
When she saw the same black Sedan coming up to the front of the school she frowned, remembering how Buffy had looked at it.
She hid behind the tree, and was shocked to see Buffy coming out of the passenger side of the car.
She crossed to the other side of the car just as the window rolled down.
Buffy bent over effectively blocking the person from Willow's view.
When Buffy's head snapped to one side Willow almost lost it, 'Who would hit her.'
As the car raced away Buffy started to sob gently under her breath. Willow saw this, ran out and hugged her hoping to get the blond to talk.
Buffy clung to Willow not even knowing who it was.
Willow pulled Buffy into the school avoiding other students she brought her into the bathroom to talk.
Buffy clung to Willow sobbing into her shoulder as they both dropped to their knees.
Willow stroked Buffy hair out of her puffed up eyes that were still filled with tears.
Today the school was going on a trip to the zoo. Willow really wanted to go, but she wanted to find out what was wrong with Buffy first.
"Buffy. Is there something you want to tell me," when Buffy shook her head Willow rephrased that, "Okay is there something you are gonna tell," it was not a question it was a statement.
Buffy continued to sob but did answer her, "N-nothing just my d-dad doesn't l-like when I d-d-do bad things s-so he shows m-me."
Willow gasped thinking back to what she had found out on Buffy.
~As Willow scrolled through the page of Buffy's medical history her jaw nearly dropped to the floor.
She had never been to the hospital.
She clicked a few buttons and went to her parents income, and taxes.
They were almost in debt barely scraping by.
Her father had been fired from five jobs in the past year, because of physical attacks on his fellow employees.~
"You mean your father hits you?" Willow asks just trying to get the facts straight.
Buffy nodded, and sank farther into Willow and cried harder.
It took another ten minutes but Buffy was able to calm down.
The bell rang telling them to get on the bus for the trip.
Willow reluctantly pushed Buffy slightly away, and asked if she wanted to go or stay.
Buffy nodded still not quite able to talk.
Willow pushed off the ground and made to walk out when Buffy's hand silently moved to grasp her's as they both walked out.
