Loving Willow Til Death Do Us Part

Two months...it'd been two months since school had started again. Sophomore year was a little easier than freshman year, since the girls already knew the campus. It was different walking to classes from their own home, instead of from the dorm room. Not sharing a bathroom with a thousand different people made for a happy Buffy and Willow...that didn't stop them from sharing a shower, though.

The only downside to living on their own was that when Faith was patrolling, Joyce had to work, and Buffy had a day off...Dawn was there. The fourteen year old was a pest of the first kind. She was always coming over at the most inopportune times...like when Buffy would be seducing Willow...or vice versa...

Right now, they were taking care of Dawn for the day, since it was Saturday, and Joyce worked at the gallery all day. Faith had a Tara date, so there wasn't much they could do... They even had to take Dawn to the Magic Box when Buffy trained. Mostly, she just kept asking if she could buy something, or if they could leave because she was bored.

Willow was working on a paper that was due next month, while sitting in the back with Dawn, occasionally catching a peek of her girlfriend in training. The redhead never could resist a sweaty Buffy...

"My sister says your a witch." Dawn realized how that sounded once she got the 'what, I'm hurt' look from Willow. "Oh...but not a bad witch. She thinks you're a good witch."

"Dawn...is this going somewhere?" Willow looked up from her laptop. She'd managed to get one paragraph written the entire two hours...mostly because Dawn kept asking questions. Willow didn't mind too much; she liked Dawn.

"Can you teach me to be a witch?" Dawn had those hopeful eyes.

"Um...I'm thinking that's not such a good idea. At least, not until you're older, and Buffy can't get on me for teaching you." Willow conspiratorially whispered.

"I heard that!" Buffy walked over, wiping the sweat from her face with the provided towel. "Ready to go? I'm in dire of a shower."

"Of course!" Willow saw the sweat beads rolling off of her lip, and the idea of a naked Buffy just increased her libido.

The three girls bid Giles a farewell, and off they went to the new house. Once there, Dawn crashed on the couch, while Buffy took a shower, and Willow stayed in the kitchen, finally getting to work on her paper in peace.

"I want my key." Glory was whining again. Well, that and torturing for information. This monk wasn't cooperating in the least. "You know where it is...now give it to me."

"Never." The monk upheld the oath of his fallen brethern. The key to the universe would stay safe... He only hoped the slayers could protect it.

----------------------------

"I ran into some monk guy, Giles. He said some stuff...some stuff about Dawn..." Buffy wanted to tell Willow but knew that the girl would be heartbroken that Dawn wasn't real. She was heartbroken enough at the moment. She immediately went to Giles with the information. "She's not real."

"Of course she's real, Buffy. Are you two fighting again?" Giles didn't understand, and hoped his slayer would explain.

"No...well, yes. We're always fighting...but no. This was different. Dawn...she's some sort of key, and this demon was looking for it. She's the reason for my shiny new bruise." Buffy had ran into the woman, the beast as the monk had said. Glorificus, Glory... "She was strong, Giles. I...if it weren't for the ceiling crashing..."

Buffy explained the rest of what happened, and Giles listened as a watcher should. Immediately, after he'd left the house, he went to work researching, while Buffy stood in the open doorway, and watched Dawn sleeping in the extra bedroom. She was there until morning, where Willow found her keeping watch over her little sister. The redhead thought it was cute...Buffy being all big, protective sister...

--------------------------

"I've gotta tell Willow, Giles. I can't keep this from her. She already knows something's up..." Buffy never could hide things from the redhead, especially now that they were lovers.

"If you feel that is safe, by all means..." Giles knew exactly what she meant. There was no doubt Willow had figured something was up with the slayer, especially since they shared a life together.

"She had a right to know, especially since she'll be risking her life...watching over Dawn with me." Buffy was torn. On one hand, she didn't wanna keep it a secret. Didn't want to keep any secrets from Willow...but on the other hand, there was more risk involved if more people knew. "I have to tell her."

"And the others?"

"When the time is right...I don't want them to worry, or treat Dawn any differently. I need my Willow with me on this one, though."

"I understand." And Giles did...those two were practically one person anymore. Wherever one was, the other was, too...
