Chapter 1
"Hummers. Big turnoff. I like guys that can remember the lyrics," Buffy said. She starts to walk again as she turns back, and runs right into Kralik. He holds onto her by the arms while she tries to pull away.
"You know, I wish I could, but my mind just isn't what it used to be," Kralik said holding on to her, and inhaling her fear, and unique scent.
"Let me go," Buffy said trying to appear strong incase he didn't know that her strength was gone. She pulls harder, and he yanks her back.
"You didn't say please!" Kralik said playfully bending down to lick the base of her throat.
"HELP ME! SOMEBODY, PLEASE!" she yells starting to struggle in earnest and call for help.
She gets her left arm loose, pulls her right arm out of her jacket and lets her left arm slip out of the other sleeve as she begins to run. Blair heads her off and roars at her. She screams and begins to run back the other way, dodging Kralik, who makes no move to give chase. He has what he wants. Blair, however, continues to run after her.
"HELP ME, PLEASE! SOMEBODY!" Buffy yells again running down a dark alley, "SOMEBODY, PLEASE HELP ME!" Buffy cries out against the far end of the alley she encounters a fence. She tries to climb it, but doesn't have the strength. She drops back down, checks behind her and sees Blair coming. She looks down and sees that the fence has been cut at the base, and so quickly gets down and crawls through it. Blair catches up and grabs her by the leg. She keeps crawling, making him lose his balance and grip, but he scrambles to grab her foot. He can't get a good hold of it, though, and Buffy slips through and begins to run. Blair gets down and starts to squeeze himself through the fence. Buffy runs into the street and tries to flag down a car, "STOP! PLEASE, I NEED HELP!"
The driver honks his horn and swerves sharply to get around her, but he just keeps going.
"PLEASE, STOP!" Buffy cries out. Not seeing another car coming she runs across the street trying to put as much distance between herself, and the vampire while it was climbing up the fence.
She enters the woods trying to cut through the woods hoping to make it to Willow's house. She doesn't hear any sound behind her she slows down to a sprint. It took only ten minutes for Buffy to get to the edge of the woods, and within a couple blocks of Willow's house. She doubled over trying to catch her breath. She walked for a block or two until she was able to see Willow's house.
She felt a hint of fear even though she hadn't seen the vamp. She almost wondered if she still had her vamp radar or if it was just a feeling. She had a thing for Willow. She knew it maybe that was why she had came to her house first. She loved her more than Angel she loved him don't get her wrong, but just not enough. She saw Willow through the big window in her room. She was combing her hair after most likely just getting out of a shower.
Then out of nowhere Blair rammed into her from the side knocking her into a van parked in the street. A resounding crack echoed across the street.
When Buffy landed she felt nothing her body just shut down. She looked behind her, and saw an indent of her body in the van. Blair hovered over her kneeling down in front of her, "Hey slayer. Just wanted to inform you before you either die, or live your life a stupid cripple. The council? Ya they were going to kill you even if you passed the test," He looked into the betrayed eyes of Buffy, "Ya take a while to soak it all in. You know I decided to just kill you. But you won't stay dead," Blair grasped her shoulders, and drove his fangs home into her throat sucking the blood out as fast as he could. He let his jaws unhinge, and cut his wrist with one of his fangs. He shoved the wrist in her face using his other hand to grab her nose. She lasted as long as she could trying to last longer. When she couldn't anymore her jaw just dropped. He saw an opportunity, and shoved the wrist further in smiling when he saw, and felt her swallow a small amount of blood.
