Title: Can I See You
Rating: NC-17 eventually.
Summary: Late one night on patrol Buffy has an accident.
Pairings: B/W, X/A
A/N: Set in season 4 about half way through, but before she went out with Riley. After Oz, and before Tara though Tara, and her are friends.
Chapter 1
Buffy twirled the stake in her hands around nonchalantly. It had been a slow night, and it was looking like it would stay that way.
"Come on vamps. Nice little neck just waiting for you."
A green skinned demon jumped out from behind a tree at her request. It had three horns protruding from it's head, it's nails were almost a foot long.
It leaped at Buffy who brought her hands up to try, and block it. The demon fell on top of her, but she was able to get her legs under it, and push it off.
Buffy jumped to her feet about a second after the demon. It lashed out with it's foot, and catches her in the knee.
Her knee popped back, and a crack sound echoed across the graveyard.
Buffy went down to her good knee, and cried out in pain. Buffy raised her arms up to block the continuos punches the demon sent at her face.
After a minute of constant blocking Buffy's arms just dropped. The demon pummeled her face for a few seconds then kicked her in the stomach.
Buffy flew back a couple feet. When she hit the ground she coughed up blood covering the front of her blouse in the liquid.
The demon stopped in front of her. It cocked it's head to the side like it was contemplating what to do with her.
After half a minute it made up it's mind, and walked up to her. Buffy's eyes were semi shut. She looked up at the demon while it stalked over to her.
It knelt down next to her, and cut it's own arm. It let it's own yellowy blood well up before turning it's arm over, and letting the blood run into Buffy eyes.
"Buffy?" Willow questioned looking around her, and Buffy's dorm room as she walked into the room.
She looked at the clock, and saw that it was 8:00 a.m. so Buffy should be back from patrol.
She moved to the window, and looked out, and didn't see her so she decided to call Giles, "Hey Giles is Buffy over there?"
"No. Why?"
Willow frowned when she heard that, "She hasn't came back from patrol yet."
Willow could hear Giles suck in a breath, "Have you called Joyce yet?"
"Not yet. I was going to call her next."
"You do that," Giles said to her.
Willow nodded, "Okay. If she isn't there I will call you back. Bye."
She dropped the phone back into it's cradle then picked it back up again calling Joyce's number.
"Hello," Joyce's voice came over the phone.
"Joyce. Mrs. Summers is Buffy there?"
"Willow how many times do I have to ask you to not call me Mrs. Summers, it makes me feel old. Wait why do you need to know if Buffy is here? Is she okay? Where is she? Is she hurt?"
Willow interrupted quickly, "NO! She is fine just wanted to know. Bye," Willow said quickly.
Willow called Giles again, "Giles we have a problem. I'll meet you at the Magic Box in ten."
Buffy blinked her eyes a couple times as she started to wake up. She figured it was still night when all she could see was black.
She started to walk to what she thought was the way to the street when she started to see white lights in the black. Some were tinged with blue, and others were tinged with red.
One of the white lights started to grow brighter in her vision. Buffy walked towards it trying to figure out what it was.
Then she ran into something, but managed to keep her footing, "What the hell girl watch where your going," the thing she had ran into said as the light went out of her vision.
"What the hell?" Buffy asked herself.
She walked forward, and stumbled when the ground seemed to fall out under her only to find her footing again after what she thought was a step.
Buffy walked forward a little bit more until, "HEY GIRL WATCH OUT!" someone yelled at her. Buffy turned to the source of the voice, and saw another white light before pain erupted in her lower body, and she felt herself hurled into the air.
Willow hurried down the street determined to get to the Magic Box as quickly as possible.
As she fast walked down the sidewalk she heard the screech of tires, and people yelling.
Willow frowned at the distraction, but ran towards the sounds.
She saw a car skidded to a stop, and a crowd of people surrounding something in the road.
Willow started to politely push through the crowd.
When she made it to the inner circle Willow's heart almost stopped.
Buffy had her eyes closed, and was laying in the middle of the street her face bruised, and laying in a pool of blood.
"BUFFY!" Willow yelled screwing being polite, and pushing through the last couple people to get to Buffy.
Willow went up to her, and pulled Buffy's head into her lap saying Buffy's name over, and over again.
The blond's eyes flickered open, "Willow?" she said before closing her eyes again. Willow was speechless though because in the short time Buffy had opened her eyes they had been completely white.
A/N: So what do you think? Should I continue? I know I have a lot of other stories going, but I will try, and get one update a day from now on.
