Part 13 - The Slayer

Willow sighed with relief when she saw the castle ahead of them.

Buffy was so tense, and Willow knew that her lover was going to pop soon.

She was getting angrier the closer to the castle they got and fury was dancing in her eyes.

The Slayer was not a happy camper.

Buffy tried to make her mind just focus on Willow in her arms, but all she could focus on, practically taste, was fury. She was scared of what she would do when she got the ones responsible.

-----

Angel stepped into Dumbledore's office first, followed by the Slayer and Willow.

The headmaster had told him to bring both girls there when Willow was found.

Giles was there, as was Xander, Cordy, McGonagall and Snape.

There were also three boys dressed in Slytherin colours.

Buffy saw red when she saw them, knowing these were the ones to take Willow.

Bending down, she placed a kiss on Willow's forehead before handing her lover to Angel, every muscle in her body tightening in preparation of an attack.

Giles winced when he saw the pure fury on his Slayer's face and the way she was sizing up her prey.

Buffy stalked towards the three boys, murder in her eyes. When she hit a barrier, she turned furious eyes to the headmaster.

"Buffy, I can't let you hurt them." He was a little disconcerted at seeing her like this.

She growled at him, a real honest to God's growl and focused her attention back to the boys.

Willow squirmed out of Angel's arms and stepped towards her Slayer when she growled, knowing her lover was going to snap, only stopping when Giles held up his hand to her and shook his head no.

"Why?"

The three seventh years flinched from Buffy, each one moving back a step.

The Slayer matched their step, and felt the barrier flutter around her.

Dumbledore frowned when he saw she could move forward slightly.

Snape stepped forward, intending to block Buffy's access to his students.

Buffy didn't even flinch when she knocked him into the wall.

"Stay back." Willow's eyes widened at Buffy's tone, she knew that the Slayer had finally reached her breaking point and ignoring Giles, she stepped forward to wrapped her arms around her lover.

Xander's eyes moved from the redhead to the blonde, worry in his own.

Cordy watched from behind Angel. If Buffy was about to go postal, she wanted a Vampire buffer between them.

Buffy sighted when she felt Willow's arms around her, however the Slayer wanted revenge on those who had taken her Mate, so she gently, but firmly, pushed Willow back into Giles, then turned back to her prey.

No one had time to react. Buffy pushed through the barrier and had two of the boys pinned to the wall by the throats, while the third was pinned to the floor by her foot.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you."

Giles' eyes widened, and the entire Sunnydale group stepped forward.

"Buffy no..."

"Shut up Angel." Again, more growls. If Willow wasn't so worried about her lover, she would have been turned on.

As it was, she was kind of miffed that others were even getting to hear Buffy's sexy growl. That was for her only.

Angel met Giles eyes, both trying to come up with a way to stop the Slayer if they needed to.

"Buffy, you kill them and you become Faith." Surprisingly it was Xander that broke Buffy from her Kill-Crush-Destroy mind frame.

Buffy blinked slowly before setting the boys down, and taking her foot of the one on the ground.

Turning to the headmaster, she pointed to the boys.

"Deal with them, or I will."

Turning, she grabbed her stunned lover up in her arms and strode from the room.

"Will the girl be alright with her Rupert?"

Giles turned wide eyes to the headmaster.

"Yes Albus, Buffy would never hurt Willow."

-----

Buffy gently set Willow down in their room and went into the small bathroom they had to run a bath.

Willow watched as Buffy came back into the room.

"Are you okay?"

Buffy never answered her, she simply picked Willow up and carried her into the bathroom and set her on her feet.

Willow kept silent as Buffy disrobed herself then her.

Picking Willow up yet again, Buffy stepped into the now filled bath and eased herself down, Willow in her lap.

Willow sighed and leaned back, letting herself be surrounded by the blonde.

"I'm so sorry." Buffy whispered against Willow's neck.

Willow twisted around until she was straddling Buffy.

"None of this was your fault. You rescued me, remember, just like always." She was trying to get the Slayer to at least smile, but she got nothing.

"When Angel and I were looking for you in the Forrest, I kept imaging the worst, and when I saw you, and that creature was near you, something inside snapped...." Buffy trailed off, but Willow kept quite, knowing more was coming.

"...I've never wanted revenge as much as I did tonight. Never wanted to hurt another human more, even Faith. If Xander hadn't... I would have seriously hurt them, maybe even killed them. That scares me. The Slayer is supposed to protect, but all I wanted to do tonight was kill."

Willow's eyes widened and she pulled back a little.

Buffy's eyes dropped, thinking she had scared Willow with her talk of killing.

Willow reached out and lifted Buffy's chin up so her lover would look her in the eyes.

"Remember when Fred hit you with that spell? I didn't know it was a sleep spell at first, and I was ready to kill him. I would have, if Dumbledore hadn't of stepped in."

Buffy pulled Willow to her, and kissed her lover for all she was worth.

Pulling back, she smiled softly at the redhead.

"I love you Will."

Willow smiled and leaned into the blonde's body.

"I know, show me?"

Buffy paused, which caused Willow to frown.

"Will, I want to, you know I want to... but I'm all over the place, emotions wise, at the minute. I'm afraid I could hurt you by accident."

That was what scared Buffy the most, and Willow got what the blonde wasn't saying.

Willow stared at Buffy before standing up and getting out of the bath. Reaching out, she waited until Buffy took her hand, and led her lover into the bedroom, not bothering to dry either one of them off.

Sitting Buffy down, Willow knelt on the floor below her.

"Buffy, this is me. Willow. We've been together from we were sixteen. We've been friends since the day we met. I love you with everything that's in me, and I know you feel the same..." Willow reached out and put her hand over Buffy's heart. "... I feel it every time you touch me, every time we kiss, or even just hold hands. And yeah, you're the Slayer, you have this whole other level that other people don't, and I love every part of you, the inside and the out. I'm yours, and I trust you with my life, but more importantly, I trust you with my heart."

Buffy had tears rolling down her face by the time Willow was finished speaking.

Willow reached up to wipe away the tears before easing Buffy down on the bed and curling her body around the Slayer.

"Shush..."

Buffy gave into her emotions and let her body cry itself out, and Willow just held her the entire time, making soothing noises and rubbing any and every patch of skin she could reach.

"I love you Buffy Anne Summers."

Buffy sniffled and turned over, knowing she had to look rough, but not caring.

"I love you too Willow. So much." Leaning in, Buffy placed a gentle kiss on Willow's lips, then again and again, until they were engaged in a passionate lip lock.

Buffy rolled her lover over and settled between Willow's thighs.

Breaking her kiss, she let them both breathe and moved her tongue in a straight line from Willow lips, to her neck, to her chest, to her belly button, and finally down to her core.

The entire time Buffy made love to Willow, her tears never stopped, and when Willow rolled the blonde over, she kissed and licked away her lover's tears, as she made love to not only her body, but the Slayer's heart, her mind and Buffy's soul healed a little. The Slayer more content than ever.

They both drifted off to sleep, wrapped around each other with smiles on their faces.

There were still things they had to deal with, like Buffy's emerging Slayer emotions and Willow's control of her magic's.

But for now, both were safe, happy, sated and content with the other.
