Change of Scenery

catching up

[reviews]

After finding out that Giles, Faith, Kennedy, Robin, and Xander were all in Cleveland taking care of a Hellmouthy situation, I told Willow I wanted to take a shower before taking care of the introductions of the new slayers. I got a sense when I mentioned Kennedy that something is up with those two. As Willow and I were walking up the steps, I noticed Dawn was talking to a couple of the slayers from Sunnydale. Willow showed me the room Dawn and would be sharing.

"Willow, can you stick around, I want to talk to you about some things?" I asked hoping I could reconnect with my best friend.

"Okay, but make sure it isn't one of your taking care of yourself showers," Willow said smirking.

"Willow!" I yelled throwing a pillow at her.

I grabbed my change of clothes heading for the bathroom. I guess I was nervous over nothing. It seems that everyone knew I needed a break from the whole slaying gig and just be a person for once.

After my shower, I found Willow sitting indian style on my bed like she was when I helped her after her Gnarl attack, so I joined her on the bed the same way I did then.

I tried to explain the last two years, but she told me that she was keeping up what was going on in Neptune the whole time I was there. I told her about my latest bad relationship. Here I thought the sheriff would have been a good guy to date, but of course with my track record, he was an ass. Willow pulled me to her lap and wrapped her arms around me after I told her I was one of the girls he was seeing. I saw something in Willow's eyes when I told her about Lamb.

"Willow, can i ask you a personal question?" I asked seeing Willow just nod. "Is there a problem with you and Kennedy?" I asked.

Willow explained that between her working with the coven tracking the new slayers and Kennedy training said slayers, they just drifted apart. I switched places with her letting her cry a cry that I think she has been holding onto for awhile.

hope you still like it. z
